@frank, maybe it me not just getting your point here or maybe the process now includes all sort of documents in name of company sponsorship!!
A simple recommendation letter, study leave with pay and maybe a sponsorship letter stating reason for sponsorship and kind of sponsorship will do.
All the documents mentioned will only be needed if the applicant feels the company sponsoring isn't genuine enough.
Which company in Nigeria will give her middle management team company bank statement? Tax clearance docs? CAC?(Except for family company, business or arranged company)
As good example to back my point is a staff that works with Glo, Shell or the Government and being sponsored!! Will these companies (private, multinational and public) drop any of the documents needed to proof sponsorship ?

It will end in praise.

@Jejelaye01, the op is not asking after the documents to show proof of employment with the company, rather he is requesting for documents for company sponsorship.

Please house, is it possible to apply for student visa when you still have a pending visiting visa? I mean they've not make any decision on the visiting visa, still on eligibility review since March cos of this corona problem. Is it OK to apply for student visa alongside it?

Hello Betterlife30,

Yes, you can. All TRV applications can run concurrently with the PR (EE) application(s). So, nothing changes applying for a SP after a VV and synchronizing together. The VO knows the importance of been armed with discretion in regards to the decision-making of the application.

All the best.

You are actually right. Also, the applicant is not using his company as the main sponsor as he already has funding from his school that will cover his tuition and living expenses (from my calculation), so your suggestion is okay. Another option that can cover the "paid" leave part will be the company transfering a certain amount of money to him and state it will be for his flight (their way of supporting him)
NB: The applicant didn't structure his question properly, so that's where the misunderstanding is coming from

Hello Jejelaye01,

There are two viewpoints in this whole obscurity. The first is from a Multi-national Company/Big or Small Firm or Corporation and the other from a Privately-owned Business/Liability Company.

The document-list Ralfuduh posted falls between the latter viewpoint and what Jejelaye01 is countering is pointing to the description of the first viewpoint. Either way, both parties are rightly in line but on different lane.

Also, these things are dependent on the discretion of the company and what or who the person/staff is, as in:

1. Relationship to the Superiors/CEO/Board Members.

2. Occupied Position

3. Vitality in Work Input

4. Key Player

5. Demeanour

6. Connection

In this modern day, rules are always bent for certain people and there are certain companies willing to do this. However, its mostly arranged.

In my little advice to OP., don't include a Resignation Letter and most company won't agree on a study leave with pay, so half or less pay is more realistic.

All the best.

Hello Tonyodg,

Yes, there is. The source leads you to cic.gc.ca. Any BS exceeding the 30 days limit is considered invalid and applying with it is at your own peril. A refusal is not unlikely. Do you know that EE applicants are prone to refusal upon the expiry of such sensitive documents like BS (not updating the settlement funds), PCC, Medicals etc if not up-to-date when in the pool or post ITA!

I am trying to say that IRCC is lenient/flexible with application/processing rules for the SP route.

I currently have an running EE profile with no ITA at the moment and also at the process of submitting my SP application.

1. In filling the form I have answered 'No' when asked if I have previously applied to enter Canada, hope this is okay? (Since I haven't gotten an ITA)

2. Would you advise I keep my EE profile or withdraw it while making this application? I have tried my best to convince VO through my SOP that I'll be returning after my studies and I think having this EE profile still active kinda contradict that. How should I approach this?

Hello narialanders,

I'm new here, about to apply for my study permit,

I have gotten admission to study at Humber College, Ontario for a 2 year Graduate Certificate in Business Insights and Analytics (which is a new course).

My Background Information
Just graduated recently(last year) from the university of Lagos with a B.SC in Finance with CGPA of 3.64. I have been denied visiting visa twice - that i wont return to home country. My sister is a Canadian Citizen, she is married with kids and is my sponsor. I have paid my one year tuition fee. I was wondering if I should use my other sister as a co-sponsor. She is married with kids, lives in Nigeria and works for a bank. I am currently doing my NYSC.

@frankrobbn1 @justmellow @najiaforeigner @justwise
please help me

Hello Kerry87,

My response is based on the information provided to your query. Having a sibling as a Canadian citizen isn't an impediment to your application, only if not properly demonstrated.

If you have assessed your situation and circumstances in all ramifications, in which same also goes for your other sibling in your home country, especially finance and level of establishment. Then you can settle to use her as a co-sponsor if only your financial status and home ties are good. This way, you may chose to get your sibling in Canada to give you a letter of support especially if she would be taking responsibility of you yonder.

Since you're still discharging your NYSC, Now is the time to start surfing for schools if you've not began and applying for admissions prior before your POP.

All the best

Hello TimAke,

To question one: obviously you chose accordingly. Its not advisable to withdraw your EE application especially if you meet the CRS score or can further improve on it by claiming extra points from taking the TEF Canada, doing a recognized online program in duration of 3 - 6 months equivalent to 1yr when evaluated by WES, claiming points from sibling(s) in Canada who are citizen or PR, been able to secure a job offer with a golden positive LMIA and claiming 50 points, try as much to search for PNP nominations in order to claim 600 points etc.

If your home ties and finance are good and if your study plan isn't murky, you should be good without having fret of any contradiction of whatsoever putting in a SP. The only weary thought is not knowing the discretion of the VO handling the application. Ultimately, you're not the only applicant to have gone down this similar path and yes, most of them got through both processes or either of them.

Thanks all for your feedback and they are all useful. For clarification, the $24,000 is per year and is recurrent throughout the duration of the program. It is clearly stated in my acceptance letter. $7,900 is the total yearly tuition fees without accommodation.

Dovelove543:
I recently discussed with my boss about my admission to study in Canada and if the company (my employer) for the past three years will stand as my sponsor, he agreed because I got a full scholarship and Teaching Assistant-ship job, with plans that I will return to Nigeria. My question is what documents do I request from my employer and what should I ask them to do to ensure my visa application is a success. Thanks

Details:
Tuition fees per yr = $7,900
Scholarship + TA = $ 24,000

My personal account is N200, 000

I already replied . Since your funding covers everything, just get your flight fare and you are good to go. You can do that by asking your company to pay the money into your personal account. They should also state in their letter of support that you will resume work immediately after your program.
With the above, there will be no need for them to give you any company papers (just leave and letter of support + refrence letter)

Someone should help me on this.

I have read a lot of comments and I have gained more than what I expect about admission process on this platform. I really appreciate those contributing to the success of this trend. Especially, those that give swift reply to some questions from members.

I graduated with 2.2 and I know some people say it is difficult to obtain admission with 2.2 but it’s very possible by God’s grace. Well, I have obtained more than 15 online courses from different platform on Data Science and Machine Learning which is what I want to apply for. My question is, will these online courses be of good impact in gaining admission to obtain MSc?

Well from my own point of view , u gonna need to consider different factors

Starting another Undergraduate Program,
- Age Factor (18-21) , that's mostly the age range to apply for a Bachelor Degree in Canada (though I don't know ur age)

- u would likely not want to mention ur Comp. engr. Degree in Nigeria, And with that u gonna be asked what u av bin doing for the past 4-5 years, cos u will need to convince a visa officer with that..

As regards M.SC in CANADA

- 2nd Class Upper (2.1) is the minimum requirement for M.SC Admission in Canada

My own Suggestion
Since ur CGPA is 2.1,

A PGD/PGC (Post Grad. Diploma/Post Grad. Cert) in a Computer Engineering/Computer Science Related Program is ur best option, so u can show career progression

Well there are some people av read here in this forum that av gotten Masters Admission with a 2.2 but its like 2 out of 10..

My own opinion, as regards the Online Courses u av done, u can communicate with a Potential Supervisor of a Program of ur interest, so if u talk to him about all the certificates u av gathered etc. Anything can happen,

But Most times the Professor would acknowledge all of this, but he might not av the power to influence the admission requirements cos its a school thing...

So u can give it a shot.....
