Babadee1900:
I parked somewhere on Bourdillon road Ikoyi to pee. I was halfway done when I looked back and I saw them with their towing van positioned in a way that I can’t fight it. Either I let them drive it or tow it. I beg to have it driven so I don’t pay for towing. After so much of going back and forth they agreed to take 10k.

I was alone in the car with the lastma guy that drove and I kept begging him 3k later increased to 5k, he didn’t accept when we got to their office at Sura, he said if I don’t do ‘normal’ he will drive the car into their compound then I can beg his superior with the 5k. I know better not to allow him drive into their compound.

Sorry baba,

Next time if u are sure where u parked is a bus stop, quickly use ur phone to video them and ur car and the sign post and other cars around.

I've done dt before, though na there office we settle d matter with 2k but d first thing dem tell their oga na say I video them. D oga quickly call me inside to hear wetin happen and settle case chap chap say make I no post video for social media o.

BUT d painful part na dt dem vulcanizer wey go less ur tyre and go come charge 2k to pump 4 tyre's, say na 500 for one tyre. Na so I go back go meet d oga, d oga say make I beg am To collect 1k, na dt time d thing pepper me for body. Lastma collect 2k, vulcanizer collect 1k on top my right.

What does P0507 mean?

A customer brought his car (Hyundai Elantra 2008) for diagnosis, one of the fault code the car had was P0507.

The code goes this way; P0507 Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected.

This P0507 code is one that's sometimes triggered on vehicles that have electronic throttle control. That is, they don't have a regular throttle cable from the accelerator pedal to the engine. They rely on sensors and electronics to control the throttle.

Causes

A vacuum leak
Leaking air intake after the throttle body
EGR valve leaking vacuum
A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve
Damaged/failed/dirty throttle body
Failed EVAP system
Failed IAC (idle air controller) or faulty IAC circuits

Solutions

A proper diagnosis will be needed to know which of the causes triggered the fault code

Yes, for us to be clear of this issue at hand, we have to visit their office or wait for their phone number to function

My opinion 15% commission after 20 trips is not really motivating.

Cos even @ 5% commission at d end of the week, d extra top up ain't more than #2,500.

Once I hit d required / acceptable income daily, I head back home.

Hypothetical scenario.

20 trips @ #1,500 each @ 80% - #24,000

25 trips@ #1,500 each @ 85%- #31875.TB
25 trips@ #1,500 each @ 80%- #30,000NB.

TB. Taxify bonus.
NB. No Bonus.

Difference- #1,875.

So you are being led/ manipulated to believe you are on REAL bonus. grin.

At the end of the week , all you gat is #1,875. after 45 trips. grin . some riders can give you that sef in kind or cash.... Lots of drivers HV this experience...

Half bread is better than none.... We appreciate the gesture sha.

Though Uber's 3% is a better bonus structure but dis advantage is soiled by its low fares.

There be should a settings to make it possible to not receive trips less than a Certain km( like 5km) or the minimum amount for a trip should be 1000 , people are taking advantage of drivers during this rainy season, Na so one Rider wanted me to come and pick him from a very bad street into another bad street ....Asin why put me and my car through all that stress for 300 Naira and na their type go demand for Ac

How is it false please? Houston right now at 5pm is on 32'C with 38% humidity. Lagos at 11pm: 33'¢, 77% humidity. So, what is false here? How does your living there alter the weather?

Besides, Sub - Saharan Africa climate can never be the same with that of North America. It can never feel or look alike regardless of what's on paper. Geographically not possible.

At the risk of starting this nonsense again, my former classmate here in Houston just posted this. It was 43 degrees (110F) in the car.

Glad to know someone here knows about "Fuelio".
Was looking for a car log book-vehicle expense tracker app, and this seems the best/most advanced so far from my research.
Just downloaded and looking to add Data to get going wink

Schiphol:
Download "Fuelio" from Google Play Store. Record every fuel purchase and your odometer at every fill-up or fuel purchase.
The app will automatically calculate your average fuel consumption from the second fill-up.
You can as well enter other expenses like car wash, maintenance, servicing e.t.c

Bro, no be small thing o. Even early in the morning,
some riders will be telling you put on AC. I have even been compromising but not without face mask. Even at that, they will still argue why they must use mask.
These are the people who don't even use AC at home o. Imagine a guy telling me last week that AC is number one priority for using ehailing. I con ask am sey what about moving him from point A to B. He said that one na secondary. Local man just gentle. cheesy
