Hi all the moguls,

Please there is this company in Akure that scammed me some years ago under the pretence of helping me secure admission abroad. I paid a total of 1.something million naira and he is still owing me 788K. Ever since then, the company has not been opening and they have vacated the office.

I even visited SARS in Akure, they said I have to write a petition through a lawyer and I paid the lawyer 10K write petition which he handed over the letter to me without knowing i will still pay SARS again before the job commenced.

When I got to SARS station, they said I should pay so that they can take the letter to the CP for approval but I don't have any dime on me again. And since the company is no more existing, I thought it might also be another loss.
Please I have his phone number but it is not reachable when I try it and I don't think it is attached to his BVN because it is quite long and I know his fullname but I don't know his home town. His office was located in Akure then and I know his Company name.

He did processed admission to few schools in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Please advice and if there is anyone that can help and when we get him, the person will take 288K while I have the remaining 500K.

Also, is it advisable to post his name, company's name and phone number online? Cos it might be illegal to do that except with a legal backup.

Yes, I know that but it is because I don't have a dime, that was why I abandon him and I keep all the receipts for payments, currently I don't have anything and I guessed I might be affected if I post his name and phone number online to declare him wanted because he may also charged me for libel.

Do not go to court oh, It may take years to get your money.
You need to track that man. as soon as you find him, Get him arrested for fraud. He wouldn't risk going to prison, so he would return every dim.

Go to CAC, and get the info you need, Shey you get their RC: Number naa.
Use everything within your reach. Look everywhere, Facebook, Twitter, family connections and friends.
How did you meet him? did someone refer him to you?
Do you know anybody he had helped get visa?
Go back to that office apartments, The landlord may have some good information for you. He may have made some connections. They must be some loosed end. Look for it!

if you have his business email, send him an email as a client, asking for his charges.
you fit even throws am Trojans grin so long as the mail dey active grin

Keep your evidence of payments, could be Bank-teller or Transfer Notification with details of the transfer.
Keep the admission evidence.
certainly you didn't sign agreement with him.
If it's possible, Get a note and put down your statements, so you dont forget the facts. or you fit still use recorder.

make copies. Obtaining money by false pretence is a crime, so time doesn't run against you.

If you must go to court, Na to garnishee that his account number so that any day it gets funded, The bank will seize it.
You fit still track every account in his name via his BVN.
No dull oh.

That company is existing, but under a different name. That's what agents do everywhere.
You dont know those people, They can move from South West to SE or SS.
My own even moved from Enugu to Abuja.

Do not give up, I know what it feels like. I have been there, it's crippling. Keep your hope alive.

Feel free you share, it has no legal implications, so long as it is the truth. Truth is an exception to defamation of character, so no fear.

See as i dey give free legal *****/ this lockdown has finished me oh

By the time you're done spending on SARS, you'd have wasted more than you lost. If you go through a reputable lawyer that can take it up, you'll get you're money back. If u don't have money again to waste, go diabolical

Sorry for the scamming experience
Anyone here who has been scammed will know what you are going through.
I have and I had to let it go cause the person reportedly later died.
But if you can find this man, don't give up, he can run but he can't hide forever.
Everyday for the thief one day for the owner.
So long as he didn't get you the admission, he should refund your money.
Also why are you offering 288k for people to help you?
Is it not the same money issue the SARS people were asking from you that you ran? Or is it because theirs was that you pay upfront? It is well

Stay calm, you will get your money my dear. Put your trust in God.

God will help us in this country, nobody is to be trusted again.

Even some peoples family members can't be trusted when it comes to money issues.

Most times I wonder if we would really get there in this country, we are just too wicked to each other.

You can hardly see genuine people out there now adays, are we really sure if the youth take up the mantle of leadership in this country, things won't be worst?

God will help us, and God will help you OP to recover your money back.

Times are hard, people are just looking for different ways to defraud people anyhow and make a living out of peoples sweat not minding the consequences and the generational abuse
