Shame on these fools. Police has killed over 100 Nigerians since last year no one protesting, fulani herdmen, bandits and others have been killing. No protest. May God punish these fools
Re: Black Lives Matter Protest Holds In Victoria Island, Lagos by vioment: 5:57am On Jun 02, 2020
This is good. Nigerians did very good here.

And Peaceful protest I support.

Nigeria is the most populous African place on earth, we took that title after the fall of Congo and that region. Nigeria is what blacks are judged by, currently with no respect. Because Nigeria is not doing great things, blacks in America don't have a working credibility to be proud of outside of America, Canada, and Australia. The whites have a working Europe to point to, the Asians have a working Asia to point to, the Latina have a working north/South americas to point to. The blacks have nothing to point to.

Am just happy that Nigerians showed compassion to its American family. Love and peace.

Hypocricy at its peak. Last week dozens were killed both in southern kaduna and sokoto, no protest. 12 years old was raped by 11 men (not boys), no protest. Uwa was raped & murdered, yet no protest. Im really angry/sad right now. Somebody should help me tell buhari that he's clueless.

You will know that lives do not worth same. We are all living in an animal farm

One way or the other. Every black will benefit from this protest. And this isn't a protest by individuals but black lives group in Nigeria. They have this association in almost all African countries.

Well, during the Chibok girls issue these blacks in America heard our cry.

You guys are so ignorant it is unbelievable.

The same Diaspora Africans helped you write and brainstormed on independence and constitution from Ghana, Nigeria to East and South Africa.

Ask about Dubois in Ghana and Alexander in Nigeria.
look there is nothing morally wrong in protesting injustice, but Nigerians don't even speak up enough on any of our national issues, but when you see them speaking up about something from the outside world, you need to question the motive,is it truly for justice? or just to be a part of the bandwagon.

Comedians grin cheesy grin

Black American lives matter. But SARS ,police and other security agencies routinely kill tons of black Nigerians on a daily basis.

And those Nigerian lives don't matter to these jokers?

ExAngel007:

Nigerians braved the rain to protest the
murder of George Floyd and to call for an end
to racial injustice.

The protest was organised by the Black Lives
Matter Movement in Nigeria (BLMMN). The
convener, Josephine Okpara, stormed the
streets of Victoria Island, Lagos, with other
protesters.

They carried placards with words such as
"Black Lives Matter" and "Justice For George
Floyd" written on them as they condemned
the killing of African Americans in the United
States of America.

The protest comes after George Floyd died on
May 25, 2020, after Minneapolis officer Derek
Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly 9
minutes during an arrest.

Speaking on behalf of the group, convener,
Josephine Okpara said the US must put an
end to “white supremacy and build local
power to intervene in violence inflicted on
black communities by the state and
vigilantes”.

Nigerians across various social media
platforms were not impressed by the protest.
They mentioned that we have more pressing
issues in the country to protest and they
criticized the protesters.

See below.

Derek Chauvin is now widely known for this act where nobody knew him before.

May we be known for something good.

God bless you.

Some Nigerians are just too archaic, selfish, and hate progress.

All these financial help, loan forgiving, technology advancement, chibok girls, and even independence; were supported by blacks in America than anywhere else. They convinced their other race family in America to support their Nigerian and African cousins. But when we see them, we act like we are too good.

The protest is in solidarity but funny enough people of colours in the usa don't care what happens in Nigeria. This is a misplaced priority at large, they can't protests about the killing done by herdsmen, low minimum wage, poor or no electricity, killing of Christian's , accountability in leadership, better security etc but would be quick to address something unlikely they can't get Visa to be allowed into that country. Sorry.

imagine these guys, police are killing people on Nigeria almost everyday from "accidental discharge'' to death in custody. Four mechanics were arrested and one was tortured to death in Rivers state, a young girl was hit by a police bullet and no one is protesting about her on the street, but we have the nerve to protest for Mr Floyd.
We left our own problem to cry over American's wahala.
