I got the AT&T variant..the security patch is October 2019

You will need AT&T Sim to get updates or you can cross flash rom, Wat I meant is you can cross flash European or Korea rom to ur phone so you can get updates without AT&T Sim, check xda to know how to do it

If you were in the US, it would ve been cheap, but u no dey US, so u go buy the sim $15, then put am on roaming which will cost u $60, anyway u can join the V40 group on telegram

Excellent, u not use to manual configuration, u need to configure it to get a perfect pic, but the pix taken is more natural that the S10, or u can download gcam, go to telegram and join the lggcam and get gcam for g8

No doubt, the picture quality is good, but when you're used to Samsung, you'll see the clear difference.
My point being that, LG Camera are overrated.
When I got my V20, it was the hype, I was disappointed.

G6, V30 also, now G8.
Or am I being over expectant

One more thing, it's not always about processor/chipset. The difference between the 835 and 845 is not much or might only be noticed by trained eyes.

S9 plus I used last year is 845, is not much different from the S10 plus I've used or the LG G8 I'm using.

I only noticed difference in the Note 10 plus.

Am using the snapdragon of note 10, i use the g8 also, bros except u not good in camera then you will call it wack, only thing the note 10 is good is the front camera, and the macro shot

Since I'm used to Samsung, don't you think I'll like the LG more if it was better than what Sammy is offering.
I can't see good and preffer bad
