I actually hate Lagos life. Too stressful and sometimes hard to break even due to the high cost of living.
I have resided in all S/W state for a minimum of 1yr.
I was in Ibadan last year and ordered a taxi, he charged me 800 for a trip u can compare with Ikorodu to Ikeja. Madam was still trying to bargain, i just smiled and gave him 1k. He was very happy.
My plan is to hustle in Lag for then next 5yrs, expand my business tentacles to Ibadan or Ogun and relocate immediately.

If u aren't careful in Lag, u will end up being a tenant at the age of 50
DH went to ibadan on a business trip and he and his colleagues went to eat at one popular restaurant. He said that all they ate was equivalent to a plate of food in any local joint in Lagos and they couldn't even finish their food.

Food is that cheap there.

There's no advantage at all.

You guys are just suffering and smiling in that your overcrowded noisy Lagos.

I thank God for my peaceful village where life is so simple and lively.

After we finished school most people moved to cities like Lagos and Abuja after graduation but some stayed back in the east to pursue their careers and business. Fast forward to five years after. 99% of us that went to Lagos or Abuja had not settled down with a wife and were sweating to pay city rent. Most of the guys who stayed back in the east quickly married and started building their own houses at a much cheaper cost at their own pace. People need to start changing the paradigm
forget about all what op said, you are the only one that gut it 99.9 percent, Lagos is problem, wish I don't come in the first place

Lagos is the worst place to live. I have lived here for 12 years now.

Aside corporate offices and opportunities which are now nonexistent, life here is hard, brutish and unworthy.

I have not recorded any good material achievement here since I graduated.

Many people are suffering and pretending here.

Securing a good paying graduate job here is extremely difficult.

You be jolly just come truly ..No offence
100 naira bus would have taken you to Maryland b/stop where you can easily hop into BRT or Yaba/obalende bus which is 300 naira max.
When you alight at Obalende, there are array of buses plying Lekki/Law school/Sandfill/Jakande to Ajah route for 250-300 naira (may be slightly higher due to this pandemic but it can never be more than 500).
Return journey is quite easy :Lekki-Oshodi, tell the driver you'd alight at Anthony , cross over to UBA under bridge and take Ikeja (Allen or Ikeja under bridge for 200).
Next time ask people around you how to navigate journeys, it will save you time and money.

Heheheh grin

Which BRT?
Is like you all don't know what's happening in Lagos this period

I beg to disagree about small businesses. In recent times, the owners have been going through hell.

I was born in Ibadan but left for Lag before i clock 8. I visit Ibadan often due to family ties and many more. Food isn't a problem. Infact, when i wanted to do my wedding in 2015, all food stuffs were sent by my relatives, bought a cow there and got it killed before moving it down here.

Transportation is also cheap. The driver will reverse back to carry u, unlike Lag where u run and rush to enter bus.

I av set myself a target to move out of Lag to relax my head and mind. It will be nice to have a running investment in Lag and spending ur money in Ibadan.

Normal Yaba to Idumota is 50 naira but it's 200naira now! Is there a way around this one?
