It's just lack of understanding...

I'm Ibo but married to a Yeruba girl...

My colleagues then in UBA PLC we're against it...

My friends we're against it...

My pastor and brethren we're against it...

My own people in the village said I was too young to get married...

I even have to buy 406 Peugeot full option for my daddy to appears them.

I ignored them because:

1.The day my Manager told us that they're bringing a female staff for the branch(As I heard, for years no female staff in that branch). I just heard a voice: "that's your wife"...

2. I have been a virgin(no girl relationship). My younger ones even had girl friends in secondary schools...

NB: I never knew her tribe, age, color, height etc but I do know one thing... my wife will report in the next five working days...

When she resumed, I didn't like her...because she wore Jezebel materials...and I said: how could God gave me this kind of girl to marry ( Lagos girl that has opened eye finish). I thought she would dress like a deeper lifer.

Anytime my supervisor goes on leave, I do take over as the next in command. I always torment her life with my authority. So that, she would in turn hate me too. She was too patient. The more I command her the more she likes and respects me more than other staff members..
It took me about one year and six months before I proposed to her... she immediately resigned and we got married.

Today, she's more holy than me...We have 3 kids.

No man has the right to detect whom the fellow man marries ....Unless they're still feeding him.
if your story is true bro..i will say you really listened to the voice of God..
God bless your Home and Marriage.

If you know why you love someone, then it is no longer love!

It has become a conditional feeling.

If igbo men list the things they have seen from tribalistic Yoruba parents, you would be shocked.

I read the thread and saw one igbo man complaining that the mother of his Yoruba fiancee called her in his presence and asked her if she know what she is doing by dating an igbo.

The illiterate mother didn't know the guy hears Yoruba.

Well, its time you move on,but I notice that most Igbo mothers don't like their son to marry outside their tribe, especially if the lady she is not super rich

Forget what they tell you in movies and romantic music, real love is not a baseless, empty feeling. It must have a basis or a principle.

The fact that someone is related to you by blood doesn't even mean you'll automatically love them or feel affection them.

who is talking movies here?
love is something that should not have a reason, once it does, you can't call it love again

I don't know how to explain to you because you ought to have experienced it to understand what it means

if you have a reason for loving something, then its temporal!

let me ask you, what is love to you?

I believe you're having the principled kind of love in mind when say love shouldn't have a reason. The "love your neighbors as you love yourself" injunction. But even that type of love is displayed to others for a reason, a principle. You don't usually feel any emotional attachment or affection for them but you show them love anyway.

The kind of romantic love and emotional attachment that binds two people together for life must be based on strong values, principles, traits and characteristics. It is not just a feeling that comes and goes at will.

It is not something you "cannot explain". Unless you 'love' them externally or superficially.

You don't need a reason to love some one. If he loves him cos he's Hansome may be something happen like fire , god forbid he looose he fine face shes gone. But wen u love someone for no reason men that is everlasting.
