It seems like all the US Presidents on official visit to Nigeria were all hosted by Obasanjo.

Obasanjo is a very diplomatic man of international acceptance and recognition, and very proactive. He knows how to fight for us outside Nigeria (not mentioning Bakassi Peninsula anyway).
I can remember how he was globetrotting when he became the president in 1999 and appealing to the Nigerians in diaspora, giving them the hope of better life at home.

Nigerians were not treated badly, killed and victimized outside our shores when he was the president like how it is nowadays.

It was worse then. Racism was widely practiced in europe back then, the murders by skin heads, remember? and getting jobs in those predominantly white countrys were more difficult that it is now.

Bakassi Pennisula was the only blot he had in that sphere. His hands were tied anyway.
