No. That is not part of the 20 hours-a-week job! Such are not considered illegal job, and considering that you have the freelance work before you leave the country, it is not part of your program and does not have connection with your SSN.

Wow, thank you so much

Setup payment to go into your Nigeria bank account (or make sure that your SSN is not connected to the payment). A freelance job is considered real job in US. Even YouTube earnings are considered income when you're on visa e.g H1B.

Key is to make sure that you don't associate your US identity (SSN) with your freelancing business; that includes routing your income to Nigeria and not supplying your SSN on those platforms.

Hello dear, I think it may be worthwhile to throw a little light regarding grad school with specific reference to the PhD program admissibility. It will be nice to know the program you intend going for. But to wit that there are a few programs in the biosciences in top tier grad schools that do not require nor recommend the GRE. And as per funding, a PhD admit is almost always funded.
But please do note that the GRE tend to be required in CS and Engineering programs. I'm not quite sure how the Humanities operate though, but there are variations. So yes you can get a PhD admit which should be funded with or without GRE. And perhaps without an MS. Your research potential is increasingly important at this level. I'm happy to recommend programs if you're interested in the biosciences. But these programs are top tiers.

Cheers!
you said it all bro.
even in the field of business, PhD program in Accounting, finance, business administration, etc also requires GRE and TOEFL for get full tuition waiver and any form of Assistantship.

Anyone here who got a fully funded PhD admission into Accounting?

I doubt if there's a ready made list for this purpose. However, many schools do not require WES conversion of GPA. I think you should concentrate on getting a list of schools you intend to attend, only then you'd know if WES is needed for them or not.

I suggest you streamline the schools of your choice, then mail the Grad Cord about transcript evaluation, they'll reply you on whether they require it or not for your course.

Hello CHARISE
I do understand the financial burden when it comes to applying to graduate school. But cheer up, Wes evaluation should be the least of your concerns. With my little experience, 'most schools' however prestigious do not require a Wes evaluation or stuffs. As other lovely people have stated above, you might want to consider selecting a group of graduate programs that reflects your research interest, you might also consider thoroughly perusing their application page for details. Then if there are unclarified details, then consider emailing the program coordinator or administrative directors for this. A lot of these programs are willing to waive application fees, test scores, transcript evaluation and stuffs. As a PhD prospect, if you do have a clearly defined research path, though not necessary, try establishing prior contact with PI's whose research interest you, if they are interested in you, they might recommend you to whoever could help as regards application materials and stuffs.

So as a PhD applicant your major concern should be how well you fit with the programs research area.

P. S. I think you might need some sort of evaluation if you do have a bachelor's equivalent such as HND and stuffs. But I'm not quite sure about this. Thus your best bet is to email your intended program for details.
But like I said a lot of programs do not require an evaluation.

I hope this helps a bit.

Cheers!

They are many, though I don't have the list. Google is your best bet. It is not that I don't have any school that will admit for PHD without GRE, but you can't really depend on one school. I always say finding the right school that meets your admission need and academic goal is the most difficult in the process. For once you find the school and you are sure, everything will fall in place.

I have posted some google search strings on this thread before, look for it, and edit according to what you are looking for. But don't expect finding ideal school an easy task, especially without GRE.

And why don't you want to write the GRE? How many years of work experience do you current have?

Check the University of Maine & University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Head is really full. I think using Google will give a long list of potential schools.
Make sure you do this search on a computer for best result.

I have gotten just one admission to University of north Texas(data Science). I deferred Till spring 2021 because of the pandemic.
I am in the process of applying for my i20. Please I would like to know.
Is it advisable to apply for just one school even that is school I want to go
I got the admission from UNT after a GRE waiver because of 2 years working experience.

Would it be a red flag for the VO

Please has anyone been able to book a visa interview date of recent? Also, is it safe to pay the visa fee via the Gtbank app?

Thank you

Do every school provide full funding for masters programs? I am planning to go for Green Chemistry and I really don't have money to be serious.

Yeah.
Next available date I picked is Nov 11. The Visa officer(during their Facebook Q&A session on US Embassy Nigeria) advised to apply and pick the November date and anytime they start routine Visa service, those ones that have pick those dates will be emailed to ask if they will like to move their dates backward. I think it's a wise advise cos they may decide to do that before opening for new Individuals.
