is ffk, not a slave master in its entirety? he enslaves people's mind with his falsehood and pretence of leading them out of darkness hence dipping them the more in darkness. him owning maids or domestic staff is still and still slavery. the name change don't make difference. 19 Likes |

Well you can call him a loudmouth or whatever, but FFK is right this time around. If indeed she was a slave dealer, then her statue should be pulled down and burnt. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is all stupid lies told by uneducated clowns. Slave raiding was done by professional Fulani slave raiders, its in all the history books, it used to be called the Muhammedian slave trade I suspect FFK's family are Fulani moles, The Egbas were known to be fiercely anti slavery. Madam Tinubu (not to be mistaken for Ahmed Tinubu) was born in 1810, slavery was abolished in 1807, use ur damn head Modified The Igbo's gloating on this thread are too shallow to see what is going on, its a conspiracy against southerners, I was reading about the slave trade in the Bight of Biafra and was amazed to see Arochukwu priest were accused of being behind the trade! The British and Fulani has removed themselves. Y'all better wake up!! 12 Likes |

Slave ownership dates back to the old times even before Jesus was born. Slavery has been modernised now. I'm sure somebody like FFk has up to 3 or 4 house helps in his house. That's refined slavery. 14 Likes |

vezycash:ur elders are to b blamed for your ignorance cos they lied to u b4 Ojukwu declared Biafra he urged all Igbos to withdraw their money so it can be used for purchase of weapons to fight n they did or I think they will leave their money in a country they don't plan to go back to?many Igbos believed they will never come back to Nigeria again so they withdrew all their money. After the war they have lost everything so Awolowo decided to help them with 20 pounds each to start their lives again. so u believe the same biafrans will leave their money in Nigeria account? 14 Likes |

He should go and pull it down. If the statue of a long dead and forgotten slave trader is giving him headache how much trouble does he get from the existence of the living slave masters? After pulling down Madam Tinubu's statue, he shouldn't forget to exhume his dad's from his grave and burn his remains. 13 Likes |

You couldnt comment on President Trump reckless and unstateman-rigmarole during the period. Be informed 14 Likes |

Farki: FFK is interested in opposite side of the woman. She was a worrier and a patriot. Apart from using her wealth to aid the development of her birthplace and place of residence, she contributed to Egba people victory against the Dahomey in Egba/Dahomy war. FFK is just trying to paint the woman as a villain just to score cheap points. 11 Likes |

It should go further than that. 100 years in an African context is like 2 years in Europe. Has there been any shaming/apology of the prominent slave families that benefited from selling their neighbours? If Europe and the US are being forced to deal with their barbarous legacy, so should the ni55erians who also took part for selling their Kith and kin for gin, mirrors and cowrie shells. These akata are the same ones who will complain about racism when their foot touch abroad. 1 Like |

Nuel4: Slave trade took away the best of our men to foreign lands to become and die as slaves. If slave trade didn't happen, Nigeria wouldn't be what it is today and somebody like American George Floyd wouldn't have found himself in helpless circumstances in foreign land. Slave trade caused irreversible changes. 1 Like |

bamvik: I disagree! He's 100% correct. Pls, check this two books titled "HOW EUROPE UNDER DEVELOPED AFRICA & HOW AFRICA UNDER DEVELOPED AFRICA" juxtapose the two and draw your conclusion. My own opinion is, without the connivance of the so called monarchs and the Aristocrats, European countries would not have succeeded in enslaving us, even up till now. Go historical lanes, all our monarchs except fews are all bunch of disillusioned and slave traders. That's one of the reasons why I don't respect the so called Royal families, they are pack of oppressors! 2 Likes |
