Bishop Oyedepo Talks In Excerpts About The Church's Succession Plan.

If the questions and concerns are coming from people who are MEMBERS of the church, then they are right to make concerns.

But if it is coming from outsiders and foriegners who are not members of the church, then what is their business? This is what I do not understand. What is my concern if an Imam of a Mosque chooses someone from his family to continue the mosque business? How is that my business as a Christian? It isnt!

Moses did not Choose Aaron! GOD ALMIGHTY Chose Aaron.

No body took over from JESUS.

JESUS Christ Had his Disciples who he taught and sent out to carry out the work!

If there was anyone at all we should say JESUS appointed, it should be Peter!

But I won't use that word because The Whole 12 were appointed.
Same way you believe God chose Moses, please believe who is there or will be there as the lord's chosen. You didn't sit with him when He was/is talking to God.
Thanks

Were they flying private jets then - a lot is at stake at the moment - that is the truth.
Privilege is privilege, whether jet or no jet, it makes no difference. There are privileges the man Adeboye succeeded left for him when there are more senior members than him.

No matter what they preach, it's usually a member of the family that will always take over at the end of the day.

Don't say what you don't know. If you known state it.

Who ever succeeds can carry on as long as the church is marching on.

If a God has chosen the usher , it will show in service , loyalty and in the grace upon the person. A good example is Pastor Adeboye . God didn’t choose the family member of Pa Akindayomi who was the Founder of Redeemed but rather he chose Adeboye who was serving Pa Akindayo

You have shown more understanding than the other guy who is making so much noise. Service, loyalty and GOD'S grace, simple.
However human beings naturally love mediocrity and disorderliness, out of envy they would want a total stranger with no history of service nor loyalty to suddenly take over a huge organization that took years to build.
If a pastor's son or daughter shows capacity and proven dedication, then pass the mantle to him or her. After all priesthood runs in family.

Good one if they won't put politics and favoritism into the selection process

Any lie to deceive their guelible followers..... shows they know the truth but still allow their greed to control them........ will they summit the name of members who are not stake holder in the business? Already his two sons are in the top leadership position in the business and the first son bearing same name with him(David) sad

OK. One thing I know is Adeboye wasnt related to the man he succeeded. I doubt the one succeeding him will be related to him by blood. ( maybe by the blood of Jesus sha )

Ask yourself, where is that RCCG National overseer that was appointed by Adeboye ,- Joshua Obayemi,. He has been relegated to the background.

you dont dont need to look further, idahosa upon all his assistants pastors still they made his wife the general overseer, elochukwu iloputaife of christ victory centre abule osun he was assassinated today his wife is the G,O of the church

Go and find out the story behind Mama Idahosa's ordination. She was not even in the running for that position. Before her, no woman had ever headed a church in Nigeria. I am sure you do not even know the story behind it.

I don't doubt this bro, loyalty and commitment should always come first. That is, where the selection process is purely based on 'merit'. But knowing how the Holy Spirit works, one would expect that sometimes a relatively 'unknown' member of the congregation, music group or ushering department etc would be chosen to lead the household of God, not necessarily a prominent family member or pastor. Remember that man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart.
Very true, just like when David was to be chosen as King of Israel.

Of a truth nothing is wrong with it. Joel Osteen father passed him a church of 90 people. Today, the Church has grown to 90,000 people. Now, if Joel passes the Church to his son, people are going to go gaga.

Question is, why are people not angry at a pastor who has 50 members and passes it to son but would open eye when the membership is large and the founder passes it on to his on.

Personally, I'm indifferent anyway. Anyone can carry it as long as God's interest are served foremost.

It’s not about who runs the church bt how the church is ran. Joel’s father handed over the ministry not the necessarily the finances. The finances don’t belong to him. Bt these day it has become more about the finances than the ministry. That why people shout.

We Winners members already know who will succeed him. It's Bishop David Abioye of the Abuja branch who is currently the Winners vice president.

Even if going by what Oyedepo just said here that he will submit 3 names to the Council of Priests to select one, it will be a surprise if less than 100% of that council don't pick Abioye.

The Winners Chapel succession is already a closed matter unless Abioye decides to leave the church which is unthinkable. CASE CLOSED!
