Can you help with the statement from UI. Maybe I missed that.

But it's stated there that he was disqualified based on educational discrepancies despite the clarification from the UI. If he's truly sure and confident of his disqualification, with the whole dust he has raised earlier, is it not reasonable for him to appeal the disqualification and kuku scatter everything but instead he wants to lay low.
There is no need to appeal when oshiomhole have already said NWC headed by him has the final say!

Obaseki was too loud in the run up to this nomination. He didn't play his game smartly.

Pretty sure he's got something up his sleeves. Let's see how it pans out.

It will be good to hear from edo citizens and residents.

What is the mood in edo state.?

We are tired of reading "baba so pe" analysis drafted from tinubu bedroom.

which discrepancy exactly? The one you discovered in Tinubu's sitting room?
Discrepancy in Educational background and NYSC.

Even though this is an orchestrated disqualification, he also played part in it by not coming clean with his certificate.

The argument should be how come he was able to govern for 4years with such irregularities......

The level of quietness and calmness of Edo PDP of late has really given me something to ponder about, Now that Obaseki is a free agent, one is tempted to say Edo PDP might have had a plan all along ..

Honestly if Obaseki decamps to PDP his chances of winning is pretty high, take it or leave it, he is undeniably loved by the Edo people.

All he has to do next is make sure he bribes the appropriate channel and "shares the money" to the right people..... irrespective of what we all think on nairaland, you CAN'T win an major election in Nigeria without "sharing"

He was disqualified because like they said 'discrepancies in his NYSC certificate'. But a man had too many 'discrepancies' in his WAEC certificate but he was cleared to contest for a position higher than the Governorship. I hate to say this but the kind of politics APC is playing is just too idiotic. This might be a blessing for the PDP though.

APC supporters, how do you sleep at night?
had discrepancies in WAEC? Has anybody ever seen Buhari's WAEC? Does he have any?
He say it was with Military Secretary. Military Secretary say no way, nothing with him.
He then say it is at Cambridge. It was the day that Buhari went to UK and came without going to Cambridge to collect the certificate that I knew he had none.
He entered army with his principal written note that he believed that buhari would pass maths and english. That's all. End of story.

I guess the APC does not fully understand the legal implications of disqualifying Obaseki today based on the alleged disputed certificate issue. It automatically means his governorship in the past 4years has been an illegality.

Mentioned the anti-party activities.

1. Going against the decision of NWC who choose direct primary. The Governor and claiming it will not hold in his state.
2. Issuing a order that people should not gather for political reasons.
3, Using his cronies to obtain injunction stopping the parry from organizing primary election in edo.
4. Not allowing 14 APC house of assembly members access to the house.

Idiot! Read the Press Release by UI and tell me where they addressed the issue of his eligibility for entry into the university without the required number of passes in his school certificate...then you may come alongside your father and defend Obaseki on nairaland.

I hope Oshiomole knows wat he is doing, though I'm not a politician but I know that if Obaseki decamps to PDP and gets their ticket, it's likely APC will lose Edo state. they have almost all rep & senate members. Obaseki also have loyalists in the state assembly. let's see how dis one plays out

Ambode treatment loading... appeal and go to jail, decamp and go to jail

I wonder why some dull ipobians want to force us to believe Obaseki is a kind of a technocrat, the pussy ugly monkey got just 3 credits in WASC and didn't even pass English, to compound his dullness he made Second Class Lower 2.2 in University of Ibadan without a factual certificate or evidence

Afrivest his company is a stockbroking firm that sells other peoples share, and they are not even credited with any major IPO of any good company

Lucifers only sin against Jehovah was his disloyalty to Gods authority, Lucifer never tried to remove Jehovah from the throne, he never insult Jehovah in all National dailies, disloyal people should be made to pay dearly so as to discourage such evil behaviour

.

When did intellectual Quotient becomes the basis for ascertaining someone that is dull?

Really surprised at your submission.

someone can be average IQ wise and be very smart.

Beside, in today's world employers of Labour have now realized that having EI is even more important that IQ.

If he emerges as pdp flag bearer, nothing has changed.
He is going to win and lash back on apc with a vengeance.

I suspect that is why apc wanted to get him on fake certificate to make him an invalid.

Do you actually know how PDP stand now in Edo state or you are just expressing wishful thinking. Obaseki doesn't not have any personal structure to move to PDP. He might not even finish this tenure if he decamp to PDP.

Obaseki, please don't embarrass yourself further. This is no longer about political fairplay but outright humiliation. Drop the fight and face other things. This game is very dirty and it would be wise to know when to give up and return to the trenches.

we are still waiting for Philip shuaibu to teach oshiomole the lessons his supporters have bn bragging abt

Governor Obaseki, Crusoe Osagie; shebi we said you should not fight this fight, because when they finish messing you up, forget about any ambassadorial, political or board appointment in Nigeria or abroad. Anyone that sees you would judge your competence based on your handling of politics as governor, and assume you are a liability.

Certificate issue is not taken lightly by our system and any one caught in that web is politically rendered useless. First, they publicized your results to show that you were very dull. Now they disqualified you due to inconsistency in your certificates. Remember Salisu Buhari, Okoi Obono-Obla, Kemi Adeosun (brilliant and performing woman) and Adebayo Shittu (who was disqualified from Oyo governorship race because of certificate issue), Senator Ademola Adeleke (who was claimed had no certificate), Jibrilla Bindow (who was taken to court for submitting false documents to INEC)? No one would risk putting them in any position again because their records are tainted and in the public domain.

You, Godwin Obaseki, may probably be the first sitting governor to be denied his party ticket for a second term because of a certificate scandal. I'd have advised you not to attend that screening and quietly withdraw yourself from the race. In the coming days, the media would be awash with heavy stories asking you to resign for certificate fraud.

What would be your defence then? They didn't only want to deny you a second term ticket, they wanted to taint your name and image. Where the fuuuck is Philip Shaibu?

Those who wanted Oshiomole out as Chairman some months ago will be carefully watching now, with what happened in Bayelsa, if APC should loose Edo state, believe me they’ll come for his head. And I think he might not survive it this time...

C’mon you can’t be using Lagos template in Edo state. It can’t work.

for obaseki to be a technocrat as ipobians want to force us to believe, one must posses some degree of educational soundness and as much as most top HR firms careless about Degrees, they still take aptitude test very very serious

now does a dunce who couldn't pass English and barely has 3 credit, graduating with a 2.2 in classics (studying greek stories) seem smart enough to be called a technocrat?

I fear ur reasoning
You talk as if naija election is based on higher number of votes.
In case u forget, naija election is all about who rig well, so as far as am concern let Obaseki join 70 political parties together, he has met His Waterloo.

*Lesson* Never outshine your master when you have little or no chance of doing so.
