I see you tried to send an email. Can you please post it here?

Hi duchess90,

I only wanted to learn about Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Cranfield Village wrt accommodation. I understand the village is the closest to the school.

Are there libraries in the other cities - Milton and Bedford?

How convenient is it shuffling between city and school?

Where did you reside while you were there?

Did you work while studying?

Ceteris Paribus, I’d be going in September Just want plan where to reside. I attended the webinar last week, and there were discussions around F2F and online option(if you want and are not able to come physically).

For other prospective students, attached is a letter I came across concerning reopening of Visa centers.

Thanks

@mimilyrics, I have decided!

A message from our CEO

I wanted to share a personal message with everyone who is currently waiting for our visa centres to reopen around the world.

Many of you are feeling angry and frustrated that you can’t access our centres to retrieve your documents, progress your visa applications, or start new applications, and I totally understand why.

Many of you have been separated from friends and family since the pandemic started and it’s been an incredibly worrying time for everyone.

We are gradually beginning to reopen our visa centres now, but unless the one you need to access is confirmed as reopening soon, that won’t provide you with much comfort or reassurance. I want to get our locations open as quickly as it’s safe and legal for us to do so. Everyone wants to get back to ‘business as usual’, including me and the team at TLScontact.

But like many things linked to this virus, it’s sadly not as simple as throwing the doors open the day that restrictions are lifted and the local lockdown is removed. For us to reopen a visa centre we need to have met three conditions – firstly, we need local lockdown restrictions to be lifted, then we need permission to open from the local authorities in-country where the centre is located, and finally, we need approval from the government for whom we are processing the applications. In some cases, we may not yet be able to meet all three of these requirements, and therefore we are unable to
reopen. I’m genuinely sorry that this is the case for many of you.

I can assure you that I, and the team here at TLS, are doing all we can to accelerate the opening of
centres over the coming weeks, and will continue to do so until we’re fully open once more. We are also busy putting into place all the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and staff when we do reopen. We will post on social media and on our websites as soon as we meet the requirements for us to open in each individual country.

We look forward to welcoming you to our visa centres again very soon.

Simon Grant, Chief Executive Officer. TLScontact

[/b]Not sure of what your definition of Big is. But see attached for list of Tier 2 and 5 Licensed companies. They are qualified to issue a COS to work under the Tier 2 Visa, one of the routes that could qualify for an Indefinite Leave to Remain(ILR)

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-of-licensed-sponsors-workers

@others can jump in and offer more advice if you need more

Cheers [/b]

Wow! I might have been exaggerating the difficulties in this walka. Imagine! It's even a 2064 paged document containing lists of companies that can sponsor tier 2.

Chai! No how, no how, I will send application to all.

So relieving. Getting Tier 2 isn't as difficult as I thought. Companies are just too many!

House good morning I’d like to ask few questions

On issue of accommodation, is it safe to say after you arrive UK,the compulsory 14days quarantine will be done in a family friends house or a hotel?

Is it ok to pay for accommodation before arriving U.K. my school is uni Sunderland

Please anyone in Sunderland already please where’s the best place to live in Sunderland( cost of living, job, fun etc) anything you can say about Sunderland

What website can one use to look for accommodation and job

What can you say about shared accommodation and private accommodation

Would you advice one to pay for accommodation space monthly or weekly

What the things to look out for when renting accommodation

Thank you guys

Pls for those who have bn granted visa before, is it both original degree certificate and transcript to submit or to submit anyone of degree certificate or transcript.

Secondly, is student copy of transcript accepted? The same one scanned to university for admission

You are only required to submit what is written in your CAS. Student copy of transcript is accepted. Just upload it through self-service application method.

Good luck.

I’m headed to Uni of Sunderland but the London campus. I booked an apartment using student dot com and I was able to inspect it while I was in London earlier in the year. Check to see if they have listings in Sunderland. I paid for two weeks for a start.

I think accommodation questions were also answered during the Q&A session on WhatsApp. Are you part of the group chat? Applicants got the chance to ask several questions
