If you use a lead acid battery to 70 % you are killing the battery fast
Oshomo12:

The two battery voltage charts say the same thing, 70% = 11.75V....

She mentioned 2 yellow bulbs and 2 coloured bulbs. I'll wager those are incandescent lights like 100 watts each or at best 50 watts each. That's not to mentioned the 5 white bulbs she wrote which are likely CFL each likely 25 watts each - that makes 125 watts and then with the 4 incandescent bulbs (400 watts). That totals 525 watts on illumination alone.

525 watts will power 5 small sized deep freezers.

Pimpim... Na here i need to do catch up on for this thread

I've been using it for some months now..... It's working conditions matches what was advertised. The series I bought isn't rechargeable, but it comes with a 12v adapter and a DC connector which makes it easier to be plugged into a 12v source. The speed 1 button fails after sometime though. The user needs to take the casing apart to get it back in working condition.

Is this Felicity CC fan-cooled or heat sink cooled?

And the 10 watts solar fan, is the 10 watts max consumption at max speed or consumption at minimum speed?

8 Batteries, 48 Volts Connection

Which connection is the best or the better one and why?

Well, I'll take option 1.

The distance from terminals pack to the CC appears to be the same in both packs.

Whereas for the other options, there is some difference in the distance from pack to the CC which will invariably impact on the charging current each pack is exposed to (notwithstanding the use of busbars in option 3), the charging expectedly being less in the pack with the longer wires (distance).

I installed a particular MPPT Cc but it doesn't charge battery continuously like the usual mppt cc. This one will send a pulse and stopped when you put ON breaker. It did continuous charging when on load but doesn't when not on load. Meanwhile the battery is not fully charged. Do you think it is an MPPT CC or PWM CC?

With AC to DC adapter or without?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dejavus: 1:30pm On Jun 16, 2020
My parent's Gennex rebadged axpert 5kva hybrid inverter died. Motherboard needs replacing after 4 years (we have a dedicated epever charge controller). Gennex are quoting 93k to fix the motherboard. Is it worth fixing or to just buy another inverter.

Thanks in advance

The Inverter attached.

It has an AC adaptor but the adaptor is sold separately for 2500.

Perhaps the panel cut off voltage is not set to the appropriate max to charge the batteries to the max voltage.

The reason it starts charging the moment load is put on it is because the battery voltage drops below the "panel off" setpoint when load is put on the inverter, hence the CC at that point permits voltage to go into the battery from the panels.

You might wanna check this "panel off" voltage out.

NB: the term "panel off" is not a universal term and it may be represented by a different phrase on another CC.
Check that out.

All other things being equal, option 3 will keep the batteries in sync the longest and surest.

YOU MUST however use equal length cable of suitable gauge for the parallel runs from the extremost batteries to the negative and positive busbars. The series connections should be equal length amongst themselves too but not a requirement for pack balancing.

You can improve passive balancing by arranging extra wires in parallel between each equivalent position of each battery bank

There are all these battery voltage leds which will show you voltage per time.

If you combine this with a voltage vs DoD chart you should be good to go.

Your best bet is a Ah/coulomb counter type battery monitor but this would be expensive for a 1 battery system. Next best bet is those cheap Ah meters but alas the energy consumption does not usually auto reset.

the charge voltage settings is not set correctly, doesnt matter if its pwm or mppt. check the settings and set it properly

Thank you for this. I parallel 4 24V panels, the inverter is Also 24V, 2 12v200AH battery in series , the CC is 12/24V60A with only battery selector and LEd indicator for power and charging Mode. Can this configuration caused it?

Thank you for this response. Is it CC? because the CC only has battery selector. Nothing like charging voltage. It is 12/24V60A and 4 24Vpanels connected in series. The inverter is 24V and the two 12V200AH also in series. What am I doing wrong?
