Finidi is the only bright spark. His work with PEC Zwolle U-19 gives us hope at least.

As for Ladan Bosso, to be honest, he is better than a Joseph Yobo at this time based on coaching experience and qualifications but I am still not so comfortable having him. May he prove me wrong if his appointment is made official.

It is the news of Aigbogun's likely appointment that got me almost fainting. But we will see the end of this shaa coz I hear some speculations about the minister not entirely agreeing with the Aigbogun appointment for the U-20s plus there are tales of multiple petitions against him on the table of the NFF but time will tell if that becomes Official or not. If it is made official in the affirmative for Paul, then that would make my fainting official. grin

edi287:

Finidi - U17
Aigbogun - U20
Landan Bosso - U23/Home-based eagles(not sure).

If Bosso gets a job, then Pinnick needs to be jailed.

The funny thing about the likelihood of these national team appointments is that Bosso is the bad news to some, and Aigbogun is the bad news to others in the event that both are eventually confirmed.

To a select few, both are bad news. grin Lol

But like I already said, the Aigbogun appointment is on shaky grounds for now. Some things are happening behind the scenes and time will tell if it is upheld or not.

In all, we will know for sure when the official confirmation is made but these rumors are very strong.

Concerning the earlier debate. I don't mind having Ighalo. My reason is simple. I need players with big names (not disputing the fact that he had shown class in recent times after the world Cup). And that feeling of experience, even though he won't have much game time.

Sadiq umar plays more like a 10, my thought tho. He is not pacy and therefore, he uses his dribbling skills and exceptional ball control to make up for (no speed)., and he also has excellent vision, he is so creative. I don't mind having him tho. But playing him as a 9 in this current Super Eagle team, naaaahh, he is too slow.... My take on that.

Sadiq umar is kanu plus goals in fact he can enhance our creativity in midfield. He is a unique player. He was misunderstood in scotland. He has a unique style of play that we can use in the super eagles. He is more of an 8.
Football is NOT about who is better than who but it is about the characteristics of a player and tactics. I hope rohr knows how to use him.
Comparing him to Tammy Abraham is like comparing apple to oranges

Lille Coach, Christophe Galtier while talking to Canal+ speaking on Osimhen and Lille players possible transfer activity:

"People stay focused on “they buy for X, they sell for Y. The player arrives, he stays 18 months or 12 months and then he leaves” but there is not a French club that may not sell except Paris (PSG).

"Everyone else is forced to sell and everyone else is like us. But they don't assume it. I am in this project there, with young players who come from all walks of life and I find that it is very fulfilling."

"If I expect Gabriel, Osimhen or even Ikoné to leave? Yes, I integrated it. I don't want them to leave, but they will leave.

"I cannot veto a player's departure, this is the project. Behind, Luis presents me with profiles that correspond to what I expect."

I hope you know some of us have doubts in the coach's capability.

it's only normal
The Coach has only qualified us for Afcon after we missed the last two editions prior to that and took us to the world cup after we were in the supposed group of death so his capability can be questioned

No he will start today's game not because he did well in the last game but because he's the best man for the job especially against big teams. It seems you guys have not noticed a pattern with that Villarreal coach. So far this season , he has started all their big games, but against small teams he starts his Spanish goons just to increase their rep due to national team call up things and when things goes south he'll now bring in Chukwueze to remedy it for him.

BTW I also don't agree with the guy the mentioned racism too. It is far from that

Real Mallorca is not a big team

Forget being the best man for the job ,he is a regular for Villarreal despite not starting much games recently but always coming off from the bench

I just feel he will start due to his impact in the last game and Spanish teams needs to rotate due to the fixtures
