As someone from Nnewi, I can tell you that apprenticeship and hard work is the most reason why most of us are rich because I passed through that system and know exactly how it works.

If you make some little research, you will observe that almost all billionaires and other rich people from Nnewi passed through this system. It like a relay race where you run and give the baton to the next person to continue.

when Igbo man starts his business, he normally takes one of his relatives to work with him with an agreement that he will set him up to start his own biz after a few years.

Now, this his relative that has been set up to trade on his would do the same thing his "master" did for him by employing another relative and settle him after few years and the circle has continued till today.

You may contend that it's not only Nnewi Igbos that practice this system and you may be right, the difference is that Nnewi people employ 99% of there fellow Nnewi people, especially a close relative.
Well

You have spoken well

The apprenticeship system can be replicated everywhere

You may be right, the thing is that Igbos have and especially Nnewi people have been very successful with this system.
