I’m going to RGU

I used form A but was last year October . Kindly use Stanbic IBTC if you have an account with them. They re super convenient and quick

For foreign transactions;

Stanbic
Standard Chartered
Accesbank are the top three.

For domiciliary account & direct transfer from mobile app
FidelityBank
Accesbank
Standard chartered are top three.

Other banks are good, but these ones are very fast when it comes to deposit payment, tuition or other foreign transactions.

I was thinking of transferring my funds away from Stanbic to my fidelity or first bank to make payment but with this revelation, I will let it be. Hope their exchange rate is fair

Hi there,

I hope you are well and staying safe.

I wanted to write to you to thank you for accepting your offer to the University of Sunderland. We know these are very uncertain times, so I wanted to tell you a little bit about what the University will be doing in September. We are planning to run our Autumn intake as planned; however we will be taking a Hybrid approach to learning. This means that some of your classes will be online and some of them will be in person. This means you will still be allowed to come to the UK to study.

I wanted to provide you with a comprehensive checklist of all the things you need to do in order to get your CAS – you have probably done at least a couple of these things, but it’s good to be sure so you can check them all off.

can you share the comprehensive checklist with us?

I honestly don’t know about exchange rates, so you would have to enquire. What I am sure about, is their fastness. Like if you go in the morning, before the end of the day you will get debit alert. Next day you get telex copy. They don’t have unnecessary protocols.

I don’t know much about FidelityBank form A payments; I only use their app for euro transactions which is very reliable.

But my brother, don’t even try firstbank.
It’s like going from frying pan to fire.
They will frustrate you with network talk ehnn. Before they process it, till thy kingdom come. Upon that, they will charge you at the rate of whenever they process it not when you submitted the request. If they rate is lower on the processing day, they will now go back and charge you with the higher rate of time you submitted.
They have dealt with me severally. Forget firstbank o.

Some people have had issues also with Stanbic, Standard Chartered and Access. In my personal opinion, it depends on the branch you go to.
First bank and Zenith bank in Victoria Island axis treat FX transactions swiftly.

I asked my friend working at Zenith about the rate Zenith bank will use for Form A payment (tuition fee), he said CBN rate.

Hello guys. Good day everyone.

Please I'm about applying for my tier 2 Visa. Now I have some questions. Please I need help.

1) anyone aware if the IHS fee for nhs staff has been stopped as promised by the British prime minister.

2) do you advise I go ahead to pay in the event where 1 above is not known ( it's a family of 4, so its very expensive)

3 ) the TLS are they working or is there any other way of submitting supporting documents. I ask this because the TLS website is saying they are closed for now

4) I would need assistance in the application, as I'm confused as to where I have to put my family in the application.

Thanks everyone.

This is not the right forum though

1. This only applies to UK residence extending their visas and as it sounds you still dey naija

2. You wouldn't be able to submit application and book appointment anyways without paying IHS. So it's a must you pay (unfortunately)

3. TLS website says it's closed so there's nothing we fit do until they say otherwise. Every prospective student here is also patiently waiting for TLS to open lol

4. It is straightforward. You will be required to fill in your family details and will be asked if they are travelling with you or not

All the best!

Hello house

Firstly, is their anyone going to Teesside University on a two years program this September? If yes, I need to know what the payment modalities are and what discount they give on the said tuition of £15,000(7500 per year).

Secondly, of what benefit is running a two years program to someone that intend to stay back in the UK with family after study. My husband advices I go for a two years program because it will buy me more time, but I’m thinking a year is fine since there’s post study and the fact that we don’t intend to use the graduate route. What would you advice pls??

NCAA has recently stated that the airports won't be re-opening on June 21st again. That means the VACs won't be opened anytime soon. Maybe at the earliest, mid July because the VAC employees have to fly in (international flights) which won't happen until domestic flights have commenced. The domestic flights commencement is what our govt has moved forward again till further notice. Na wa!

Someone asked me a question and I am not sure. Please if one is going with dependents for a 2 year course, is she expected to have full fees plus maintenance for everyone or year 1 fees plus maintenance for everyone?

If your funds can sustain a 2 year program, it's up to you but since it's solely to afford you a settlement opportunity, I think it's a waste of money. Hope you know that if you don't get tier 2 sponsorship or switch to the tier 1 route, you'd need to leave at the end of your studies + PSW period.
Note: there's a cap on the number of years that you can study for so, going for a PhD (usually 3-4 years) might not be enough for you to stack up valid leave (+ your 1 or 2 years MSc visa and 2 years PSW) towards the 10-year settlement route.

Can't a Nigerian apply from the UK VAC in Ghana? If this is acceptable then this may be an option to explore

That money will fall to 11,500 pounds in the end as they will offer you scholarship. You are expected to pay a 4k deposit and you pay the balance after arriving. Accommodation in middlesbrough is very cheap. They have a weekly accommodation for 55pounds.

Even though it's acceptable but it's always better to apply in a country where you live because it strengthens your application. If you apply outside your country of residence, your application will take longer.

You should be able to switch while on a PSW since it will be a resultant effect of your T4 visa (based on the previous scheme) but it's better to wait for official guidance on this.
If you want to go into business right after your studies, go for it but if you want to explore the job market before doing that, then do it on the PSW (if it'll still be applicable).
If you'd like an endorsement from your school, it's better to start laying your groundwork from the start of your course so that you can go straight in few months after your studies.

Hi
I will be going with two kids and my husband as dependent and my course is 2years duration.
I believe the maintenance fee is for 9 months as stated in the UK website
So you are to have balance of your school fees + (your 9 months maintenance fee)+ your dependent maintenance fee(9months) i your account for 28 days including weekends before you print out for your visa application. It is advisable to maintain the balance for like 31 days though

I don’t think you can apply for visa in another country where you’re not a resident, except there’s no embassy branch or affiliation in your country of origin eg Estonia

You’d also need to have a valid residence permit for Ghana as you can’t apply from a country where you are visiting.
