It's okay. The person can pay directly to your school on your behalf. The amount paid will be reflected on your CAS and UKVI will not be asking you for who made the payment already received by the school; you'll only need to show your tuition balance (if any) and maintenance funds in your account.

PS: Be sure that the person making payment is someone you trust so you don't get charged for fraud if the person pays using funds from fraudulent sources.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I have someone who is based in the UK who I am thinking of asking to pay my tuition from there rather than sending the money to me in Nigeria to pay.
Is that ok/acceptable?

You write to the school admission team that want a refund since you won't be able to attend.

Also state your reasons why you won't be able to make it.

They will tell you the procedure on how to get your refund.

All the best.

Thank you

Just email the university with a refund request. Fortunately because of CONVID19, some universities are offering deposit refunds if you change your mind to proceed with study this year.

You can see sample from below (Wolverhampton University). So just email your university and explain you wish to get a deposit refund due to CONVID19 complications on your finance.
They should be willing to refund your money

All the best

Thank you

Please is it possible to be denied super priority visa? I really want to know if it has happened before. Thank You so much
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 11:05pm On Jun 19, 2020
If you don't include all the required documents or pass credibility checks, yes. The super-priority fee is for you to receive a decision on your application faster, it doesn't have a bearing on an application decision.

Definitely it is possible .. it doesnt guaranteed denied or accepted. The only thing it does it make you know the decision quicker ad turnaround time is fast

If you're named on the account as an account holder, yes you can.
Just curious though, why would you be using a joint account with your friend? Why not your own account? You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

If your school doesn't insist on any deposit before CAS, it wouldn't affect your visa application. Your school will only include your full tuition fee on your CAS and you'd have to show that you have held the funds in the stipulated manner.

Thanks for the reply.

I dont have up to the expected amount in my personal account. Am considering using both the joint accoint statement and my personal account statement to apply for my visa. I hope this will work.

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 10:08am On Jun 20, 2020
It should but it is like trying to game the system; you still need to think about post-Visa process. I'm assuming that the money isn't available to you hence the following questions:
What happens after you get the visa? Ask your friend to let you use the funds for you UK trip? What % of your fees/maintenance do you have in your account? How would you settle your fees and bills when in the UK?
If what you personally have is not up to 90% of what you need, you'd be stressed out in the UK trying to make money to pay fees and take care of yourself. It's not all roses and cream as a student who has outstanding tuition balance + maintenance to think of.

Good day experts in the house, kindly help me from your experience. I have two questions
First is that I am currently in Germany studying but plan to go study in the UK. Already have my unconditional offer. Can I be in Germany while I apply for myself and my spouse? She is currently in Nigeria. Or do I have to go to Nigeria first then apply. Because I want her to accompany me as a dependant. I plan to file the application at the same time, so we could leave together.
Secondly, if I am filing my application, how much do I need to calculate as her living cost and for how many months? Thanks so much in anticipated response.

Hi, am also going to Teesside University for a 2-year Msc program.
Please I would like to know how much am meant to have in my bank account before applying for visa. Is it 1 year tuition fee + maintenance fee or 2 years tuition fee + maintenance fee

Thanks

Yes, going to Teesside this September.

Payment modalities;
You get a discount of £2000 in your first fees.

There are 3 options for payment of school fees. But you have to pay your deposit of £4000 first.

Option 1: You pay everything at once.

Option 2: you pay remaining balance in 3 equal instalments.

If you're going this September, your 3 installments will be due on
31st October 2020,
31st January 2021 and
30th April 2021.

Option 3: your pay remaining fees in 7 equal installments.

If you're going this September, your 7 installments will be due on
31st October 2020,
30th November 2020,
31st December 2020,
31st January 2021,
28th February 2021,
31st March 2021 and
30th April 2021.

That money will fall to 11,500 pounds in the end as they will offer you scholarship. You are expected to pay a 4k deposit and you pay the balance after arriving. Accommodation in middlesbrough is very cheap. They have a weekly accommodation for 55pounds.

That means they offer 3500 scholarship? Is it automatic?

...and you get to pay 50% tuition as deposit. General review about Huddersfield isn't that encouraging. I wish someone on ground can help with first hand info.

You guys could check out University of Stirling in Scotland, 4000 pounds scholarship immediately you're being offered admission (conditional or unconditional), 2000 pounds tuition fee deposit, and you can pay the balance monthly for up to 12 months or per semester. Depending on your choice.

Good evening all, i ran a paid online human resource management program in a university in the Uk since late last year. The plan is once the admissions letter is sent, it'll help facilitate the visa to travel to the Uk. Normally admission letter is supposed to be sent from January, but i haven't received anything coupled with the covid-19 issue.

I have a friend who applied to a university in Canada same time with me who got their admission letter since around February, my contacts there are not saying anything.
Does anyone know how these sort of things go because it's frustrating waiting and checking emails. Should i just forget about it since it's been 7 months past the deadline?

Chairman,
Take a deep breath.
Get cold zobo or lacasera or Fanta.
While sipping slowly, read your post again. See if you can re-write it so that it is better understood.

Thanks.

It's really not me. but a friend I'm worried about that's getting depressed over this thing.

According to her, her people abroad wanted her to come there and the best way was with the education route. so they paid for a program that upon completion, when they send her the admission letter, it'll give her a reason to travel there. The university sent her series of assignments for that program which she completed since October last year.
Normally, according to her, before they resume classes for January, they send an admission letter which she would use in processing her visa to study in the Uk.
Up till now there's been no news, and she's stuck here.

so out of curiosity, I'm wondering, is there still a chance of the admission letter coming in or something?

it seems sketchy, but i really don't know and I'm trying to be hopeful on her behalf, thanks

... her people abroad... are the best to answer some of your questions

...Upon completion... as in completion of the course?

More confusion.

Admission letter after series of assignments has even been completed?

If you want to help your friend, ask her the name of the university, the course of study and the nature of the assignments she completed.

alright I'll ask her for the name of the uni

The course was in human resources management.
The assignments were periodically sent to her email and were given over the space of 2 months. It was research-like with questions relating to human resources (the degree she applied for) which she had to answer and was graded accordingly.
it even had deadlines sef

But the more i explain it to you guys here, the more i realize it seems sketchy, but I'll contact her later today to ask for the name of the uni. Thank You
