Seun , I have never asked for any of my post to make it to frontpage ,even this but would be a kind gesture from a fellow freethinker like you
Let the youths know

Gerontocracy. A gerontocracy is a form where the significantly older population lead the younger ones . ... In a simplified definition, a gerontocracy is a society where leadership is reserved for elders

A system of Government by the old , the wise and intellectually experienced amongst the Society ,

But are the old really wise ?

I dunno I'm not one to give a Bleep but if Seun doesn't take this to Fp , those guys can all wallow in , their blissful ignorance , what you think about this issue of people thinking been an elder means you're intelligent or smart. , When it is still those normal dummies who survived to adulthood (mostly due to cowardice social aparty or experience of staying away to survive) they are just as dumb as they were and will be in 80years time even dumber as age detoriates . even we cannot say we kmow the technology of the next two generations from now? ,No way so how do these old people belive they know more than us and create a culture specifically created to mute the females and subject the men to criminality (the only means these people know how to survive.) Shame our prisons are more for retribution and revenge rather than actually dealing with it and make reforms .

Give Youths power over Nigeria in 2years I tell you the number of forign investors will increase, mordern ideas and development in 4 years Nigeria will be like Southy na, roads and light would be steady , villages would quickly be full of cctvs curbing criminals, fingerprints to avoid john and Jane doe's( Random people killed and left unnamed .)

On the issue of being an elder means intelligent or smart. Here's my stand.

Being an elder does not not mean being smart or intelligent or even wise. It just means you gone through a lot of experience to actually say what will be the outcome of a particular situation (which you have experienced) if the person who is listening to you should either do the opposite of what you did or do what you did during your time in that situation.

Experience brings wisdom but it comes in quanta (physics terminology) or packets (for the layman). But experience doesn't mean wisdom. It brings wisdom in quanta (packets) that is for every situation you experienced, you have knowledge (which occurs when you understand it) that translates to wisdom but this wisdom is not one you have you think you can handle all, no, it's just for that situation and other situations that have similarities like it and applying wisdom from the previous experience that fits.

Like Capslocked said, HE SHOULD EARN IT! you don't have to listen to every elderly persons you see because they're elderly, you should be watchful and know at least a quantum of their previous lives to ascertain whether or not you should take them seriously on the issue at hand.

I agree with this......youths have the ability to think wider....

My mum will say it's laziness, but I always told her that I want an easier and less stressful life. ...

I've always sought for answers to make hard things easier.......

And youths receive more inspirations better and allow for mistakes, corrections, success...

There's more to it.....

Awolowo,Azikwe cannot even fathom the idea of internet in his time and his mates in the west knew little knowledge of the computer , here a 16year old boy would create an app for you equal to the west , but these greedy 'heroes past ' had to free both northern and southern Nigeria; for no reason but greed.

Now people even dumber than Awolowo in our mordern Era, imagine the havoc they will cause , using our home land to play gamble

You know ehhh, making a protest ain't to hard, but what's important and quintessential is that the base is strong so as to prevent any destruction the base and the entire protest......

Once we have the base, we can then move on.....
Even if one of us is killed, we'll not relent till all of stop breathing even our dead bodies will continue the protest

I remember when my second senior brother used to bully me, when I got older, I began challenging him..... because I believe that we all should earn our respects and not to force it down people's throat ....
I'm not the best, but I've seen the so called adults and elders acting foolishly.......

As an elder, you should help to guide the young ones to know what you know, not to force them to follow your path.......

Give Youths power over Nigeria .....
Who, exactly, is supposed to "give youths power over Nigeria"? Is there some power over Nigeria giving god that gives power over Nigeria that I'm not aware of?

Sounds like manna from heaven, to me, and goes to show the youths in Nigeria have no power whatsoever. If they did have power, their horse would be in front of their cart instead of behind it.

Power is not something some thing gives youths. If youths want power over Nigeria, they must become powerful and grab it; and the first step is, organise. It's the most difficult step of all, as you might notice in the inability of us to organise.

Let? As in allow you? Like when Yahweh asked permission to let there be light? Sounds like you are begging your enemy in a war to kindly adopt strategies that lets you win.

Do you know anyone who does that, apart from Yahweh?

Every day we complain of how things ain't working in Nigeria. We talk about how a man who isn't certain of his age let alone knows where his certificates are is ruling us, we talk about our state government and how they are robbing us in day light. I do love those talks, beautiful lovely... Muah! You might wanna kiss it! But hold your horses and allow me give you orgasm... I'm getting pretty close!

THESE TALKS ONLY STAYS WITHIN US! THEY DON'T EVEN LEAVE OUR SURROUNDINGS WHERE IT WAS DISCUSSED!

Have you cum yet?

Its ok for you to be disappointed Sorcerer. I could say the same about your "let" and your "give youths power over Nigeria", except I'm rather more amused that an avowed atheist would unknowingly plead to gods instead of asking youths to actually stand on their own feet and fight for what they want.

Go on, say, "I did not plead to gods". I dare you.
