Lol, I updated my cmment.

Coming to hiring developers, there are programmers who are looking for feeding money, they'll be willing to work for you for comfortable pay.
He doesn't need senior dev's or whatsoever they call themselves.

He is already using python and I think the antispam bot is written in python too, these will aid the Machine Learning.

convert the likes to upvote.

We may talk about Nairaland losing its speed and device compatibility, that will be worked on by the programmers, you pay them to think.

Lol.
now you see why I'm calling Seun out?!

Upvotes/Downvotes shouldn't be used as yardsticks to determine posts credibility/visibility. If things are done that way, then there would be lots of deleted important posts just because they didn't sit well with the public.
It can be used, you are sharing information that should interest people, there are people that will upvote it because they see sense in it. If majority doesn't see sense in it, then there is something wrong with your view, also there will be option to appeal if your post is hidden, then the moderators will look into it.

Not when you live in a morally bankrupt, emotionally driven, hypocritical society. Trust me if this is approved, a loooooooot of insightful posts won't be seen because of their inability to gain cheap likes. Political correctness is a breeding ground for lies and deception.

Posts should be hidden not because they get downvoted but because they go against the rules of the forum.

This is where you have appeal.

Let me give you a gist, I noticed that Nairaland's link was blacklisted on Wikipedia, I appealed by going to the talk page for blacklisted links, there they gave me links to where the decision was taken to blacklist Nairaland, I saw sense in the discussion and accepted the decision.

Yeah 'appeal', I get that.

Appeal to the same mods who have sentimental views on certain posts/topics?
Appeal to the same mods who choose to ignore educative material and would rather push IQ quenching topics to the front page?

Lol,I hear you grin grin

7 funny thing is, those comments were mostly from Nairalanders who act like touts here without constructive arguments but because they are on a foreign forum they tuck in those trashy traits to form like they are guilty of nothing. You all have yourselves to blame and leave Seun out of this.

Tribalism here can be tackled adequately by blacklisting defaulters,it can be done using A.I...or comments on some topics should be deactivated

You can't be insulted if you don't warrant it.
It is a forum, an open one for that matter.
If God want us all to have same character, he will give us same face, mind and same way of thinking.
We are all created differently so expect diff attitudes and characters.
Believe me, some people will finish smoking their igbo and test run their madness here or what sane conversations do you expect from some teenagers whose achievement have been to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared by their mom?
Well, some of us are here to do business and catch fun.

It's a shame Nigeria's biggest forum is a cesspool of tribalism, hate and vileness. And it's even sadder that this would be the reference a lot of foreigners would rely on when they form their perspectives about Nigeria/Nigerians.

Seun is just too blasé for my liking, never considers forum members opinions, never does anything radical to improve this forum. And I'm sure this thread would totally be ignored and maybe even locked. Such a shame.

Seun.... You really need to do something 'bout the tribalism, bullying and misogynistic comments on this forum.

You've said it all. The misogyny is alarming. Boys on here day and night with their "women phobia". Wonder if we're progressing or regressing in this country. Imagine the message they are sending to the lads out there.

**Edit**

Someone went to read my past posts after I posted this just to see if I was being a hypocrite. Lol, that's funny. Glad I stand by my values.
