. 1 Why did the court give the order when the judge knew the case would be finally determined a day before election? What is the relevance of maintaining the status cope when a temporary order has been given ?
He will determine the suit speedily but however, i know one CoA judge is ready to excite the players.

2 Primary election is a party affair but due process must be followed. Faleke vrs APC. However whoever the party declared as winner must take party in the primary processes as follow: 1 purchase of nomination form. 2 screening process
I agree, 100%

The questions are 1 Did Obaseki obtain the nomination form? Answer is NO The purchase of nomination form has closed already.. It is however not clear if somebody else's form is given to him or the party issued a form for him at the back 2 Did Obaseki take part in the screening ? Yes How he got a nomination form which qualified him for the screening will be explained by the party. Conclusion : The petitioner has a good case challenging the processes of the participation of Obaseki in the election especially when the nomination form has closed.
Someone has posted one or two things why Obaseki should be disqualified but I haven't seen it. (Will continue searching).
The Party can decide to extend sales of forms and adjust its screening and/or timetable at any time provided it falls within INEC's window.
The nomination forms for several offices were extended in the APC in 2016 & 2018. PDP had almost regularly extended theirs every election cycle.
If candidates can be substituted even after Primaries, example Kwara & Sokoto in 2019, where they didn't even participate, I find it difficult to understand Ihama here.
The salient truth is this:-
Wike is showing Obaseki who is boss. I can make and unmake you.
Ken Imasuagbon is stepping down today or tomorrow. Ogbeide-Ihama is an ally of Wike's...his attorneys, Orbih & Denwigwe are Wike's allies & PDP lawyers.
A. Obaseki is likely still interested in APC post-2020.
B. Wike does not want Shaibu, who is seen as the major force behind Obaseki.
C. Obaseki needs to settle well. grin

Additionally INEC is not involved in the primary election .It is a party affair but INEC is an observer. Also any party that did not submit the name of his flag bearer withing the INEC stipulated time will not take part in the election.INEC reserves the right to do so APC vrs INEC in zamfara.
I agree 100%

I have been saying it that the desperation of Govr. Obaseki he might end up not participating in this election, that was before APC disqualified him.

After which he pitched tentacle with PDP and their national body pickets him to cough out 6billion naira and I said again that with this desperation he might not be cleared by PDP because you screen this guy since last week Friday and uptil now as we speak you haven't cleared him whether qualified to contest or not.

OK, PDP continues to milk the guy dry by making it looks like giving him an easy ride by comparing other aspirants to stepping down for him, to create more avenues for him to cough out more money.

What's the end result?
Why waiting for clearance from the screening exercise a COURT ORDER LANDED FROM GOVR. WIKE'S backyard "PORT HAR COURT" RESTRAINING the same GOVR. OBASEKI the desperate man from participating in the primary.

I can never trust GOV. Wike of rivers state that guy na crook that can turn the table against you once he gets the opportunity and this is a perfect one for him and he cashed it out. grin grin

Remember Fmr. Govr. Amechi nominated Govr. Wike as minister then after serving in the capacity of chief of staff, only to get to abuja and pitched tent with Mama Peace to start dealing with Gov. Amechi and then took over the state with federal myths.

They are the root cause of GEJ failure and some people can't give cognate analysis reasons been that they are myopic, not abreast with reality on ground or been deceptive fellows who likes to push an ignorant persons from frying pan to fire.

OK, thank you PDP for the game well orchestrated. Mind you Govr. Obaseki is a bad market whether you like it or not. Because he is not ready to travel the road to success "because he is full of pride and power drunk" thinking those that made him Governor 3yrs ago are fools.

Nobody will want to associate with an ingratitude personality like him. Even President Donald Trump have godfathers not just one or two, arrays of godfathers both home and abroad those he listens and take one or two advise from. But in this guy case reverse is the case.

PDP arranged this trap to deal with the Governor after all na our yam make we collect small.

God bless you.

Take a look at Articles 6 (1), 7 (2) (g), 11 (1) & (2), and 50 (2), (4) of PDP ... a non-member of the party can no longer at this stage be allowed to register as a member and contest the year 2020 Governorship Election in Edo State under the platform of the PDP...

Articles 8 (4), (5), (6) and (10) as well as Article 50 (4), (5) (b) of PDP Constitution, says no one can register as a party member after registration has been closed pursuant to its scheduled Primaries, proceeding to purportedly register Obaseki as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party is therefore a sham!!

Where a party begins to act outside of its constitutional provisions they have therefore invited the court to resolve such discrepancy.. don’t worry watch out for more to come from Edo state political brouhaha as I am directly involved I would call you and inform you lol
Can I have your version of the PDP constitution you are using because from the 2018 Constitution of PDP, I can find most of the things you said in support of your contention here.

They wouldn't care to loss out completely, but prove a point that they are not pushover.

You meant to say that it's okay for a loser who was pushed out of his party for being uncontrollable to just come and reap where he did not sow? That's unfair. Some people made sure that PDP stayed alive in Edo state all these years. You think it's okay to allow Obaseki to just bully his way into PDP and collect the guber ticket by buying everybody off just like that? Must he go for the second term? Why couldn't he go to the party that has no candidate?

Because you are not paying attention.
If Obaseki participates in PDP primary and wins, then they have no candidate
based on this court order.
Same way for APC if Giadom conducts his own primary.
Ize Iyamu's membership is even in question.

The third-party with the highest vote may carry the day.

There other alternatives, that INEC extends the primary election dates so the issues
can be sorted first.
Or both APC and PDP decide to withdraw their mole's court cases.

Who's giadom conducting primaries for? Where are the aspirants? he's just a clown.

You and I know if it doesn't go as planned, one CoA judge is getting excited to grant a stay of execution.

It took Lyon less than 10 hours to get that, even when allegedly Justice Jane Inyang of the FHC, Yenagoa ran away with the judgement papers.

Moreover, adjustment of timetables, sales and submissions is a Party's responsibility.

It did not take Lyon 10hours but almost two days. I know pre primary matters are not justiciable going by section 87 of the electoral act so he will likely lose ahead.but am happy at least.let pdp follow face small court cases and distractions like APC is.
