There are 2 big mistakes Igbos are making, thus limiting them from getting to the pinnacle of federal politics:

1. Thinking someone will come and give the presidency to them just because they feel like they deserve it.
2. Nursing and encouraging a secessionist agenda for the 2nd time.

Igbos must understand that if they are not ready to broker deals with political heads in the southwest and the north in general, 16 years to this time, there may never be an Igbo president.

Also the Nnamdi Kanu of a guy who they have given a cult followership has made the entire country see them as secessionists. So how can a region that calls Nigeria a zoo, wants to leave and is always quick to claim Biafran, be given the presidency? It doesn't work that way.

It is impossicant!
No 3. They have unilaterally included other ethnic groups that are not interested in their biafra and they expect those ones to calmly follow them like mumu?

Presidency was handed to yoruba in 1999.

Presidency was handed to the hausa in 2007.

The igbo case shouldn't be any different.

Be guided.

They all worked & won their elections, from primaries to general; and all regions presented candidates. From Ekuweme to Moghalu to Jim Nwobodo himself. Buhari lost several times (including 2007) and restrategized; nobody was handed anything.

Furthermore, none of the other two repeatedly called the country they desired to rule a Zoo.

You see that bridge, you must build it or continue to wail.

So stop deceiving yourself waiting to be handed the Presidency like a beggar & get to work.

""Furthermore, none of the other two repeatedly called the country they desired to rule a Zoo.""

Jumping from more hopeless excuses to another.

"They all worked & won their elections, from primaries to general; and all regions presented candidates. From Ekuweme to Moghalu to Jim Nwobodo himself.""

More hopeless excuses. In 1999, everything was a mere formality, the nation agreed that yoruba should be allowed to rule and they did. Everyone stood aside for them. In 2007, yoruba n igbo also stood aside n allowed the 2 political parties in nigeria to field only hausa-fulani candidates.

Theres no bridge to build anywhere. Igbos have supported every other tribe in Nigeria n gave them large sums of their votes to win....There's no bridge to build, YORUBAS didn't build any bridge in 1999, neither did hausa build any bridge in 2007.

Its not an excuse but a statement of FACT.

You cannot call your country a ZOO & expect to win NATIONAL elections.

Is it your 5% votes you're referring to as "support"? IPOB hate filled rhetoric?

You must be joking. You have a very long bridge to build or keep wailing.

P.S You can do better than tell plain LIES. Who stood aside in '99? Ekwueme or Nwobodo? Did Uzor Kalu not contest in 2007? Have some shame and stop peddling outright lies.

Instead of waiting for 2023, bring Nnamdi Kanu, we can make him president of Ibadan Zoo today. He too will be commander in chief of the Zoo. He can control the monkey and antelopes there and form Biafra secret service angry

Brother please; genti:

First - if anybody claimed that "Yorubas deserve this or that", I would give them the same answer: work at it, not make noise about what you think you deserve. Other parts of the country have been far more politically astute than Igbos, and that's why they have the majority of the power.

Second - the desire for Biafra is perceived to be universal. In other words: most of the people who would make good allies are being turned off by secessionist rhetoric which (it must be said) Igbo politicians have been reluctant to denounce. If you're not seen to be speaking out against something, your silence amounts to consent (in the mind of the public).

Third - unlike SW and NC folks who work behind the scenes to consolidate power, what I hear from the SE is mostly: "we should be allowed to..." What I want to see is SE politicians (and agitators) working silently to get power. It's not by noise or by complaining... it's by building alliances.

Fourth - I'm not from the North, nor am I from SW. If we can't take constructive criticism from our own people, what do we gain? "Stoop to conquer" appears to be a saying lost on us.

Fifth - I'm still very upset that the Oba of Lagos asked us to "go an jump into the lagoon", and have refused to build anything or add any value in Lagos. I hope others from SS and SE will get tired of being insulted and develop our own place, and strengthen our political standing nationally. This is done with hard work, foresight, and dedication to the cause. Not by posting every other week that we deserve this or that. Ironically, by asking, it shows we're the weak ones (politically).
You know nothing, you are writing as if nigeria is an ideal society.
We have edge in academics. The north is insufficient in academics, the country introduced quota system to accommodate them
The north can't meet up on merit based appointments, the country introduced federal character to accommodate them

The east can't meet up in the military. Nothing has been done to make them catch up instead they are mocking them
The SW had a political brouhaha because of June 12th elections cancelation. The country compensated them with the president in 1999.
We all know about how the script of how OBJ was brought out from prison, pardoned and made president. We knew everything on the elections were formality.

Now the east is deficient in politics with their numbers, nothing is being done to integrate them instead you hear our Yoruba media with slogans like "igbos can’t reap where you didn't sow" to alienate them the more.
You hear yoruba media and editorials highlighting why igbos can't be president, how igbos have burnt bridges, how igbos have insulted every body. Yorubas are using their media to keep igbos down. You cannot have a 100% sanity in every society, so yorubas must look for one thing from the Igbo society to always use against us.
If you are igbo stop helping them to amplify their methods they are using to keep you down.

Not that the yorubas are free of what ever they are always accusing us it's just that we are not just doing the same "pull him down syndrome" that they are always doing to us

Remember they also have OPC, Ganiyu Adams who fought to take over ilorin, and are also fighting for oduduwa
Hope you know that the yorubas have compensated him with their highest military title
"aare ona kakanfo" - igbos have never written anything against this as a reason why yorubas can't rule as they would have done to us if we owned Ganiyu Adams.
While our own political leaders and governors came together to proscribe IPOB and label it terrorist. So wherein lies the silence of our leaders that you are talking about

I want you to reflect very well on the two scenarios that I painted on the last paragraph and you will know that we are the victims of hatred and unjust power play

I don't care if it is a right or not, but if any old senile Man should be presented to run for president in the name of being Igbo, he can as well take a hike...

Whether Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Efik o, a young person with a sound brain and guts is urgently needed ...
Please for bloods sakes, Nigeria is done with these senile, old partisans running for president, period.

You said it a. We are tired of ancestors please we need young people with sharp thinking brains and sound mind not people who are tired of life
