Jakemedg:Majority of those parents you talking about go out everyday to their places of work and some don't even make use of facemask. Even when they finally got home they don't even bother washing their hands or spreading the cloths on them outside till the next day. Even when govt ordered the transport men on the number of passengers to carry, these same parents defy the order 2 Likes |

obonujoker: We just like doing same shit in Nigeria without results.... I expect the NCDC to release the percentage of persons within 5-18yrs affected by this virus... The recovery chances and rates.. Then necessary procedures should be put in place... If parents goes out to market and shop/work daily and aren't infecting their children And this same children are playing with other children in the neighborhood all day while some attend lessons and still not infected... What's the point in locking schools.... Life needs to continue |

Jakemedg: Social distancing can work in sch It’s just simple... same way it worked in churches Proper spacing in lecture halls (maybe 100-200level can still stay back cause they probably still do general courses) Decontamination of schools every weekend ... Use of face mask by students Lectures keeping to there timing and not giving lectures under hot weather condition ... Beside most schools where at the verge of writing the semester exams before the lockdown... and we all know that there is always enough halls for exams Lastly mandatory pocket sanitizers for returning students 1 Like |

obonujoker: Part of all these Corona virus COVID19 hullabaloo is just to get Mr. Trump out of office. So expect CNN and co in conjunction with the WHO to continue spinning more and more yarns & telling ludicrous lies and scaring the people just to make them to continue blaming Mr Trump for the Wuhan virus and as such, subsequently vote him out in November! Except you are pretty much aware of what is going on, the media can make you believe that Eve was created before Adam!!! 2 Likes |

kozmokaz: Until children go home to infect parents who may die and children become orphaned and their education stops... I don't blame the people or even the Governor, Nigerian system is dysfunctional, underfunded and prone to misfiring. Even with the best of intentions, things that work elsewhere tend to fall in Naija. 1 Like |

Mokason28: Hey online citizens of Biafra, When will you wake up to reality !!!. Biafra means come fraud in Igbo language. It was never meant to exist as a nation, but as a tool to cajole FGN in giving south east elite leverage in sharing National cake, just like MEND,Boko haram, Opc & others. Just keep paying you dues to Nazi while he is balling in Europe.

KingWarri:Nonsense. Churches - Yes, with strict social distancing and sanity. Mosques - Yes, with strict social distancing and sanity. Markets - No, unless they can reorganize the markets to maintain social distancing and sanity. Schools - Never, until corona is defeated. Majority of school people from primary school, secondary school and to higher institutions ( No less than 70 percent) go to school and from school by public transportation. The little kids become endangered species. No No No to redemption of schools. |

Austin1805:I don't understand were you expecting everyone to just sit at home for months without going out to put food on their table? Remember Israel and South Korea shut down schools after there were reports of infections among students. Health experts do have reasons why schools should remain shut but for me opening up schools would be catastrophic for Nigeria |

obonujoker:All the classes must one day resume their section, we can't continue like this, why the rushing why not exercise patient and let us watch how things unfold, covid-19 is real, there are some gatherings that can be avoided, school is one of them, higher institution students sat at home for over a year when ASUU was hot, for me the guy like dragging unnecessary attention, no be only him like schools, asking the final year students to go back to school, will that permits them to write waec or what? |

With the benefit of hindsight Gov Makinde would appear reckless. The buck actually stops at the table of The President who should have sought from NASS Emergency Powers and lockdown the entire nation and ramp up testing to be followed up by isolation. |
