YourCoffin: 1- Buy the packaged palm fruit extract in a store. 2- Use your hands to take off the husk and crush it. Easier to do when it is “hot”. 3- Put in a pot and pound with the bottom of a bottle, that wooden stuff for turning garri or anything safe that can imitate a pestle. 1 Like |

Osagyefo98: You don’t know the meaning, more reason you should keep quiet- but that isn’t your forte. You rather tear your clothes as if someone is dragging the origin of your OFE AKWU with you. Hian! |

Amazing looking food. It is making me hungry to levels you can’t imagine. And I just had some fruit (pineapple) which tends to me hungry... I would make my ofe akwu the same way, but from experience I discovered that stockfish makes it taste less than perfect so I would omit it (I don’t know why it tastes a lot better without okporoko to me). Will you try not adding the stockfish and give your verdict? I want to know if it’s just my taste buds doing that? I would imprison anyone who adds tomatoes to ofe akwu if I could. Or seize their cookers. If you lived in Enugu the way I would beg you to let me have some of this would baffle you. Maybe I should go and find something to eat. I have cashew nuts and avocado. At least it’s still food |

ndidigood: Very untrue. It spoils the taste, big time. It doesn’t even make culinary sense, adding tomatoes to ofe akwu . We can always improve knowledge sha, so please drop those tomatoes, specialist or not. And make your verdict then. |
