That’s nice they had that in a random non african store.

I’ve seen a few african condiments in the Asian store too but sometimes they don’t have the really native stuff

American must be more diverse than I thought because, i went for grocery shopping in a random Non African store when I was in Jersey City. I was blown away when I saw egusi, ogbono, poundo, cassava fufu powder lined up on shelves.

It’s been awhile I ate oil rice but I’ll prepare it one of these days.

Today's party jollof rice and peppered chicken is dedicated to pocohantas. I followed to the letter all the steps you gave on your jollof rice thread
I was sceptical initially cos you said the Jollof water level should just be the same as the rice... meaning no more water addition... I used the foil paper as you said too..cooked for approx 30 mins. As I open am, me sef smile . My mom was very impressed.

PS: Today's my dad's birthday.. kindly say a prayer for him.

You can actually add more water as you proceed, a little at a time, but never start off with plenty water.

If you don't mind, kindly share the recipe for you Ekpang nkukwo. The ones I've made came out tasting too flat. Tasted Ekpang from Jevenik restaurant and I still can't get over the taste. Help a sister please
