So from this thread, i have learnt that, if you join a cult, there are many things involved -

- You're already on a waiting list of people to be killed. Those who want to or can kill you include

*Members of your cult on the initiation ground
*Members of your own cult due to envy / beef / in fighting
*Police / SARS
*Members of a rival group looking for revenge
*Rivals who have been killed (Karma as a result of the binding blood covenant)

- You also will not have peace. You'll keep watching your back, you won't be able to complete your education so essentially your life is 90% ruined

- there is no strong man anywhere, na jew man dey bury strong man.
When you're rounded up or surrounded by members of A rival cult, you're on your own and life as you know it will cease to exist

- The concept of Brother Deliver brother is a scam. Your own brother is more likely to give up your location and have you killed

- There is no 'good cultist' or good cult. All na same
You're also not fighting for the ideologies of one 17th century Viking or for any black man. Na wash

- Hanging out with cultists or being friends / roomies with one is a No No. If them find your roomie come and e no dey, them fit use you send message

- No cult is stronger than the other. Its mostly a game of numbers and chance.

- When a war starts, the newly initiates mostly bear the brunt as they do not know much or don't have access to information about wars. So, if you just blend, na you them go use count scores

I will add more as time goes

I like Atheists though I am a Christian. They see things from a different perspective. But there is Jazz(Voodoo). The belief in Jazz that's what gives rise to young and old moving in hordes to join frats. Doing jazz comes with a lot of requirements also. Things you won't eat up to the level, you may not sleep with a woman for several years. This will make you untouchable. That's why the sudden rise in homosexuality.

There was a certain time someone was killed by unknown people. They just went to a strong herbalist. Even the place was scary. From the stokes of fire, they saw how the guy was shot, even saw it was a mistake, even the faces of the people that pulled the hit. His killers came for some other people, but he was at the wrong place at that time. Juju dey.

Every where in Nigeria has all those kind of places, but as Christians we live everything in the hands of God. The more you engage in those stuffs the further you act with out human reasoning. You start seeing everyone as enemy.

Some times they don’t need people to snitch, they just summon the persons spirit(obviously a demon/familiar spirit), it will say what happened or tell you people to leave vengeance to him/her.

If you don’t pay money to Rainmakers or “holders of rains” after they’ve warned you. You wedding, burial or event will be disturbed by rain. Infact rain fit dey fall for only your compound or the vicinity surrounding it.

Cultism makes you delve into things, your mother and father would shudder in fright if they only knew.

I have made sure to reduce my close pals to barely 3 people. Most people are cultists. Jew like us is getting extinct. Ths who believe in jazz if you do jazz for metals, will you also do jazz for being bludgeoned with 4by4 or in some cases they will lift heave stones and smash the person’s head.

You think say I dey lie.....? When you have a notorious member known for always causing brutal fracas, and even a terror to her members..

At the demise of such member, a particular cartel/group will be glad. They might still prosecute that war despite their joy.

No one loves an uncontrollable violent dog... Your so called brothers can even set you up to be arrested or even killed by the security personnel or rival members..

A reason why putting your trust on a bunch of degenerates is counter productive..... Appears you don't appreciate the extreme rivalry that exists even within this gangs..

Lemme share experience of someone I know closely to corroborate your point.

The guy got admitted to a tertiary institution outside his family resident state and went ahead to join a cult. The frat he joined is the same dominant confraternity in his ‘family home’ living area. In trying to be too clever by half, he didn’t join in the area to avoid being heavily involved especially with his parent living in the same environment.

He came back after his first semester and was relating with fellow cultists around. Feeling cool at bars and hanging on the blocks with them but not going for meetings or really associating ruggedly.

Now there’s another guy, slightly older belonging to the same frat but this one don turn ‘o sa nle’ due to the kind of atrocities he has committed and kept on committing.

One evening we were hanging out and this other older guy suddenly came out of nowhere with two guys guarding him and called the younger guy to a conner, next thing we began to hear was “Bros abeg”, “Baba no be So” and etc. from him. We never one word from any other person. Few minutes later this guy comes back with swollen lips and black eye.

He said that older guy and his squad slapped him endlessly for not coming to meetings and not relating accusing him of feeling too big. Meanwhile going by the modus operandi of the fraternity he wasn’t bound to attend their meetings cos that’s not his ***.

After the numerous slap, they took his two phones and money he had on him, and gave him a bag containing two guns to keep. Last thing they said was “If dem born you well anytime wey I come Carry my *** make I no see you”

The young guy was perplexed cos they had taken his phone and he was wondering how they’ll reach him for the ‘tools’.

Two evenings later, we were just sitting somewhere when his dad called his cousin who was with us sounding extremely under duress and relayiing a message that he should come home that someone was in the house to look for him and insisted his parents found any means to get him or they weren’t leaving (you can imagine the effrontery). They claimed he’ll understand once his dad mentioned ***. He went home and met this guys waiting outside his house. He followed them and gave them the tools where he kept it. They gave him another round of slaps for leading they themselves to where he kept it.

This is someone that couldn’t give his folks satisfactory answer on how he got injured, seeing the kind of persons that came to look for him at home and his wounds reopened. His folks grilled him tire but he was able to dribble them. Now he was obligated to stress himself to buy a new phone so they don’t go to his house, or track him somewhere and follow him to pick the tools up (this is another sure guarantee to chop moro for leading them anywhere it was again).

They called him one day and instead of asking for the tools, they forced him to follow them leading the squad from the front. He refused and ran they pursued him, caught him and ‘indicted’ him for wanting to leave the runs. At that point he had no choice than to do as directed.

Now you’ll wonder why none of the numbered members could intervene- the guy doing the oppression was the point man of he frat. Even though he didn’t have any office, He had personally led squads to avenge over 10/15 members of the frat who were killed by opponents at different times in a span of 3-5years so nobody could control him.

Long story short, they forced him on that mission that day. Nobody knows if it was a robbery or H.I.T cos he came back, didn’t discuss anything with anyone but quietly disappeared from the area.

After a few months the older guy was killed in a brazen attempt to abduct an opponent in the opponent’s area in broad daylight.

The younger guy returned less than two weeks later. I didn’t see him throw a party but I know firsthand how relieved he was openly and very happy secretly.

He thought he was smart and had everything in check but no one can be smarter than a bunch of crackheads cos there’s no smartness in their books only destruction!

You follow them play the same runs, you’re now forming cool. They’ll like to let you know say ‘play play no dey’....

Beyond no one coming to your rescue if you’re surrounded or abducted, even if you’re with your folks and e set, once dem ‘cramp’ you, no one will wait or even as much as look back.

What those of us that are jew but still alive will hear from your so called brothers still alive is comments like “Omo *** LG” “Na one spanner loss” and songs like “Remember remember remember, when I remember *** water runaway my eyes o...” and maybe candle light after 7 days. The candle light no sure sef as the killing team might decide to come and ‘clap’ for your mourners in procession. Like this will bring you back or help your family ease the pain. At this point loss don already loss.

He that has ears let him hear!

Here's a story on the ills of Cultism and few lessons to learn from it. It's not a gory or violent tale like most people here want to hear. The whole idea of all these stories is to learn from it, no be for Entertainment. This happened in Unizik, I think around 2005/2006.

Let's call this AkpaMan Henrik. Now, Henrik and his fellow cartel men (Consists of his Godfather and his guys) went to a bar to drink cus one of the guys in his cartel and his Omila(Robbery) squad just came back from a job that paid them, So he wanted to host men. Now, everybody in that Cartel was Henrik's SOB(Senior on Board), so most DUTIES were given to Henrik at the time. So, when the Akpamen entered the Bar and sat down and ordered for drinks, like four guys were in the same bar drinking and minding their business few metres away from where the Akpamen sat. The following conversations happened next between the Akpamen ;

One of the Akpamen : Obembe Kpokirikpo!(Referring to Henrik), Those men wey dey that table, go tell them make dem disembark from this bar. We Wan turn this place to Full house BS(Brew Session) , I Don even put calls reach D1, him say him go soon show. [[Imagine the guts and false sense of authority Cultism dey give guys, like who the fucc are you to chase people out of a bar when no be say na you or your papa get bar?]].

Henrik : Aro! But dem far small from where we dey, dem no go disturb or interfere with our matter, Make we shun dem.

Akpamen : Aro disembark that capping!!!!!! Wida you capping careless? You no Sabi your OT? Dem give you duty, you dey cap careless! Durrty na Durrty o(Duty is Duty)!! If you cap careless again, I swear to the one eyed god, I go bust your head.

By now, Henrik Don dey understand say no be wetin him really sign up for be this, say his own men Don dey show am say game no be Chais! With the constant driving and charges wey men dey always give am. Henrik was just a flexing guy and was deceived that the game was all about flexing and connection. He never knew this side of the game before he entered. This was the first time he's doing this kind of thing. So, Henrik now went to the guys and these were the conversations between them ;

Henrik : How far bros? abeg we Wan use the full bar. Make una just rush finish una drinks comot for here.

The three guys : Nwanne, wetin you mean? How you go tell us to leave bar, na you get bar?. Common commot for our table.

Henrik : Bros, if una look for back una go see some kind joyless men, make this thing no come turn to fight. Na una go loose cus we many here. Make una just commot and go to another bar.

By now, two of the three guys on that table Don Observe the settings of the whole place, come dey rush their drinks. But one of them, come dey do strong head come dey raise voice for Henrik say dem no go comot make those men come do their worse. Meanwhile, Henrik has noticed two of the guys were wearing yellow hand bands and a touch of yellow color on their T-shirts. So, Henrik guessed they were BAN boys, jew men or anybody at all. But any which way, that's not the point. The matter on ground be say men Don give you DUTY and you must carry it out or face the consequences of beating and Drilling you with at least 30 machete drills depending on their mood. And the last thing wey Henrik need na make dem beat am again, cus him never really get over the Post Initiation Stress Disorder(PISD) he suffered after his Initiation grin grin.

So, as one of the guys was still raising his voice and doing gra gra, some of those Akpamen Don dey observe wetin dey happen come ask, Henrik ;

AkpaMen : Obembe! Wida?? Who goes those men? Na BSTs?

Herink : E be like say dem be 48, no level.

AkpaMen : 48 And dem dey challenge a King! Dem dey mad??.

One of the Akpamen : He echoes; Na we o!!!

The other Akpamen : They echoe ; Vikings!!!!

One of the Akpamen : He echoes again ; Na we o!!!!

The other Akpamen : They echoe again ; Vikings!!!!

By now The Akpamen Don dey get up from their chairs armed with empty bottles to come and burst those men head. Henrik, still has small conscience at the time because he hasn't gone very far in the game. He knew that if those Akpamen came close to that table, those guys heads won't remain the same again with the kind bottles wey their heads go collect. So Henrik now told them to leave now before those Akpamen go near them and kicked their table and the bottles fell and broke. He did that as Ginger make e be like say him ginger them so that those Akpamen no go come through with the head bursting. And Luckily for those guys they understood that single act from Henrik and left the place immediately and also Luckily for Henrik, that single act was what saved him the day those boys caught him alone in the night in a lonely road in Ifite Awka.

So, as they were leaving the Akpamen wan begin go chase dem but Henrik told them to leave them, say dem no fit challenge na. Say we came to brew and merry, Make we no use ruggedity spoil our Brew Session on top 48s. So, the Akpamen now retreated from the pursuit and started hailing Henrik. Aro you're highly rugged!! Bist you!!! and shit like that. Naso the matter take end that day.

So, like a month after that incident, Henrik went to a lodge then in Ifite Awka named Marvelous Hostel to see a Babe. Marvelous hostel is close to WhiteView Hotel. Now, if you're familiar with that Area as of 2005, that area na die. WhiteView hotel was still under construction then sef. It's always very lonely at night,
Legend/Rumour even had it That there was a certain Gorilla in those bushes around there wey dey come out for night for road come kill people to Chop LOL grin grin(Anybody wey go Unizik wey stay around that area that year can confirm this hearsay).

So, unfortunately for Henrik, one of those three guys(The one wey dey do stubborn head) at the bar that day saw him at this Marvelous Hostel. He called his fellow guys and they all mounted and waited for him till around 8:30PM when he was leaving. As Henrik got to that lonely Ifite road, naso like 5 guys surround am. Henrik first thought that they were normal town boys wey Wan obtain am but as they flashed torched on him and one said ; "Shey na you Kick our table for so so bar", it now dawned on Henrik that he was done for. And back then, na OKPUNO be Akpamen strong Area for Unizik, so Henrik was very far from home to Start Echoing "Aromate", "Aromate Handicap" "SS o" LOL.

Those guys had many weapons on them, planks o, rod o, machete o etc. One was even with an Awka-Made Gun. So, dem come begin Rask and drag Henrik.

Those guys : Nwanne, you be Bagger abi? Una just dey do anyhow for this deck. You no fear to kick a Lords Table. You no dey fear?. You say you be King but what's a King to a Lord?. We go kill you tonight!

Henrik, now confirmed his suspicion that those boys that day were BAN boys and also two of those guys at the bar that day were among the six guys that surrounded him. Henrik now, knew that it was over for him if those boys really meant to kill him. And Henrik at the time no dey Selena(Jazz) Rugged. He has no Jazz but even if he had, when you're mapped and surrounded, you're done for, jazz no go fit help you again. He now decided to try and make dem listen to reason.

Henrik : Bros, no be so. Alora and Aro still be Sailors, una know how e dey be. Na duty dey give me, and una know say no sentiment on board the ship. Una dey game, una know how e dey be. If dem give you duty, you go still run am for the ship to sail and without asking questions. Ask your men wey dey there, I respectfully asked them to leave. I even held my men not to come and burst their heads. Your men dey there na, ask them.

Those guys : Oboy deck your cappings! We no Sabi who give you duty, we no even Sabi those men. Na you wey kick my table I Sabi. Nothing concern us with who give you duty, na you wey carry am out I Sabi. "You Don Price and you go Pay wella".

Henrik : Bros(One of the guys he met at the bar that day) , talk to your men. This thing no necessary. Exams dey around the Corner, we no need this Rough Sea. Make una remember say na 99% intelligence and 1% ruggedity o. Make una use una intelligence, this matter no reach anywhere. I no touch una that day and I still treated you guys with respect even without knowing you guys were BAN boys. Make una reason. If una beat me and I survive una know say na Rough Sea straight. The only way out for una be say unless say una go Throw me Overboard(Kill me) and even at that words go surely get out say na una run am and e go bloody. E no go wise to do this this thing una wan do, e no go end well for everybody o. Sailing aside, make we reason o. Henrik was saying all these things but he was also drenched in fear of not knowing whether those boys will listen to reason or go the violent way.

One of the guys at the bar : Abeg, make we free this man. We no need any Rough sea with Red HLs now, we Don ginger am. Bros, you and your men Bleep up but luck wey you get be say you and your men no touch any of us. If not, we for treat your Bleep up well. Say we no touch you na big Bleep up for us but just like say you said, intelligence before Ruggedity. Sail your Ship but make una no dey find unnecessary trouble. No be only una be the rugged sailors for this deck. They now left Henrik and went their ways.

At this point, Henrik knew he just survived a bloody thorough beating or death as the case maybe if those guys weren't the reasonable type. They looked at the bigger picture and saw that it wasn't worth it doing what they intended to do. And trust me, 85% of cultists Don't ever look at the bigger picture. They so much believe in Violence than reason or common sense which is mostly their undoing.

Henrik never mentioned this thing to his Cartel men cus just like I said earlier, he hasn't really gone far in the game then, so he still had little sense and conscience. That was how this matter ended without turning to a full blown war between Akpamen and Ban boys then.

Now, why would you go to a bar and start telling people to leave the bar? Na your bar or papa bar? You Sabi who dey the bar, What if na Army men Or SARS men wey dey on normal casual wear dey the bar? Dem go just knack you shots immediately and give you charge say you be armed robber wey Wan come rob them. Or Dead squad of a rival cult wey carry gun? Dem go just knack you shots and knack shots towards your men. Your so called brothers wey give you the Duty go leave you run and deny you. This is the false sense of power and authority wey Cultism dey give boys which leads them to trouble.

The men wey you chase na you dem Sabi. Dem no Sabi who give you order, na you wey carry out the order dem Sabi. If dem catch you, you'll be killed cus all the cults dey preach say Forgiveness na sin. So, if you meet cultists wey get that believe(90% of cultists get am) they'll kill you. When you're surrounded by rivals, it will dawn on you that you're done for. Nobody and nothing can save you at that moment.

These are the things that you'll face when you join cult, flee from it, life no dey am. Henrik wey dey this story couldn't finish in Unizik cus of cultism, the story here na just warm up to the deadly things he encountered both from Akpamen(His brothers) and rivals before he left Unizik and ran away. Close to Three solid years wasted in Awka because of Cultism.

If you were in Unizik around 2006/2007, can't really remember the actual year again, there was this guy that was killed that period. His name was Collins. Mehn! Awka been really shake that period. RIP COLLINS!!

Please, say no to Cultism!! Run from it, na Jew be the way o. Life no dey Cultism am at all. It always ends in tears for everyone wey walk that path.

I learnt to take the average Joe as a cultist on campus.. to avoid challenging death unknowingly....

A BAN friend of mine was exterminated by the SVC a few seconds after having a little chat with us.. As we take 4 steps like this, na gun shots.

We didn't know the guyz chilling 2 cars away were angels of death... They shot him point blank on his chest and casually walked away with No fear.. No rush.. No hazzle...

We later got to hear, he was a part of a hit the previous day and they had to take him out..

Was in Cali too back then and the flying of colours after final exams was crazy.

Saw the flying of colours in 2001. Their display that day in Main camp, very close to VC's office, was something else. Even their female counterparts were not left out of the celebration that day.

Many of them, including their top guns who led the flying, were rusticated afterwards. Don't want to mention names.

The most annoying part of this flying thing in Cali for me was the idiotic babes in Main camp and Club 89, who would hail and scream and hug and kiss the cultists like they were some movie stars. Smh. Nigeria don cast since.

A country without values or with misplaced ones like ours has no future.

We need to rebuild from scratch for this country to stand any chance.

I dont have to read to know. I was a witness. If about 10 people die for cultism to end in each of LASU, UNIBEN, Ekpoma, Uniport etc. its an offer I would gladly take.

Mark you, the number of people who died as a result of the renounciation exercise in Unilag were not up to 10.

OBelz:
Unilag!!! After the open renouncement did you know the deaths that followed as a result of such excercise. Killings in Yabatech & FCE. Just read few pages back some highlighted what happened then.

I wrote about how cultism has been reduced to the barest minimum in a school like unilag, someone mentioned how thats funny cos someone was killed in unilag in 2010. Ten years ago! Lol

This thread is to expose cultism for the evil it is. Some of us dont stop there, we go further proferring ideas & solutions on how to defeat cultism. You can not tell who is reading.

As for the Unilag incident that happened 10 years ago, the guy who they wanted to hit was 'Sky' he escaped & his friend 'Eiyele' got hit. I dont want to bother you with details of the aftermath but Sky had to leave unilag & environs after the heat was turned on him. He came from another school to unilag but it didnt take him long to figure unilag was different.

Same with schools like OAU. I dont want to know how rugged you are, or your rank. If you fly a beret in Ife, I guarantee that your life will never be the same again.

I hope & pray for a day when this replicated in all our tertiary institutions.

Chief, from my point of view, I don't think anyone was born with exceptional syntax abilities. However, it's a blend of how well your cerebral can string a broad spectrum of connecting words together to effectively and succinctly pass across a message to your listening audience. The main component of a write-up is how well you can relay the main structure/body of your message without contradictions. Of course there has to be sub parts to your write-up but what makes you stand out is your ability to take your readers on a cruise and at the same time keep them focused on the prime message your write up is conveying.

From my survey, a host of good writers gain momentum in their syntax abilities from their impressionable age; at this age range, their writing skills is continually honed through strategic learning processes aimed at developing the kids mental abilities to be able to naturally string words together and effectively communicate an idea, proposal, view, research result and what not to a receptive audience.

On your end, continue to read up technical articles, don't be a passive reader, while reading engage your brains. Doing so would ensure you have a clear understanding of how the writer synchronizes words together to clearly pass across a detailed message.

Finally, indulge yourself in reading and understanding a lot of STEM paper works - from engineering, aviation to medical inclined subjects. This would help expand your knowledge horizon and as a result , your brain is able to grasp more complex and abstract topics. When you have reached this level, your brain begins to create a logical pattern for your write ups without having to look through your dictionary.

Cheers chief.

Stay safe as well.

Please how can one develop writing skills such as this? What did you do? Did you deliberately hone your skills or you were born with it?[/quote]

I know of OAU boys that are in BAN.....though they don't fly their colours on campus and they don't loud it. Reason for this is rustication from school.

But go Ife poly.....and OUI.....u see than louding it and flying colours.

When u go to Buka at night....u will see them....smoking and drinking....looking for OAU girls to woo.

They also come for shows hosting celebs.

@icebound....pls, what's the meaning of 48? I see vee guys using it alot.
