Everyone talks about restructuring. I won't be surprised if the country is still like this or worst even after restructuring is in place . you know why? Till the said restructuring be understood properly to what it mean only then will it yield positivity

The bolded has to be a joke

The South East can create a multi billion dollar fortune and revenue by developing the entire oil palm value chain from beginning to end.

Malaysia and co has done it

Nigeria can do same too
Using the SE

So the south east is NOT disadvantaged in anyway
Oga I'm igbo too

Unlike you, until there is proof that Tinubu is a criminal, I won't join to bandy accusations around. It is a crime.

No region is disadvantaged in Nigeria

That's the unique thing about this country

Everyone has something to bring to the table

The North contributes little or nothing to the nation's wealth, yet wants to continue oppressing the south
I don't blame them, I blame past administration's of OBJ & GEJ that failed to do the right thing during the period they had the power .
OBJ even tried, 13% derivation was his regime
But our South South brother who ought to be more concerned was busy serving the North
Restructuring is the only way forward, it will happen one day.
Let say the truth, the north contribute more than the SE.

Senator, you are wrong except now you are leftist. it is all because of islamic domination. Islam says when get to a place seize power and commerce and reduce the people to slaves. The system works well in Middle East and northern Nigeria. It is being imposed on the southern Nigeria and Middle Belt. The system is boomeranging in the north, the reason for insurgent groups and organized criminal groups like boko haram and bandits.
See as you open your mouth just say rubbish

The Northerners turned themselves to parasite because they refused to make use of the resources in their disposal . To be candid, norther Nigeria is richly bless with Agricultural products, instead of them to use the opportunity to contribute to the nation's economy, they abandoned, cotton farming, groundnut, etc and turn themselves to deadly parasite.
That agricultural products are actually from Middle belt... The core North has just mineral resources

Count the Middle Belt out of North.
The Core North is half desert and unproductive.
true but they have mineral resources ooo

SE that's clamour for break up was not even mentioned. It's seems north don't take south east serious.
they know South East is ever ready and they also know South West is the ONLY one still holding everything together. Any day South West says its enough will be the end... So there is no point focusing on South East cos those ones are long lost and gone as far as Nigeria is concerned.

They also know that allowing South East go will see other regions break off as fast as lightning..

We igbos stand with the north, there must be no restructuring. All we want is an end to corruption.

Also we want every single natural resource to be under the control of the FG. Both liquid gaseous and solid.

The FG must take over and run all seaports and custom operations.

As time goes on with proper consideration the FG will be in charge of coordinating state IGR, so that they can be the ones allocating it to the states equitable.

Every region in Nigeria must grow, no region must leave the other behind

Let us assume Tinubu is a kleptomaniac. It is an assumption, not a fact. Despite the money Abacha stole, despite the criminality perpetrated by Saraki, HOW many northerners would come out to describe them the way you described Tinubu, whom you have no proof is a kleptomaniac?
Why do you think I ll go with a man that presented and garnished a FULL TIME FRAUD AND CRIMINAL Buhari a saint just for his selfish ambition . and pls donts start with an excuse for his selfish actions..

That is purely his opinion. If restructuring meas resource control, the north will always be alright. We know the regions without resources. Nobody in the north is afraid of restructuring.

To me, I think restructuring will only happen in this country when we get the true definition of restructuring. When we talk of restructuring, it's obvious we are talking of the system. Now which of the system are we talking about, is it the political system or educational system or judicial system or economical system and so on. So when we talk of restructuring in this country, we have to be specific.
All!

Abeg, shift! You're not Igbo but Igbo impostor!! What's the size of Luxembourgh? If SE is less advantaged, then support their exit from Nigeria so that you'd understand how powerful God created Igbos. Japan has no single resources but makes the best machinery and electronics. You're not Igbo. And if you are, you've neither traveled to Igbo land nor any developed country. No need arguing with you.

This backward mentality is one of the biggest reasons for the sorry state of Nigeria currently.

And it is also why in almost every socio economic index, the north lag far behind the south.

I dont know if there are actually thinkers amongst the northern elites

Restructuring means making Nigeria a true federation that it is supposed to be. It is no reinventing the wheel or disintegration as some people will have you believe.
It is not a novel idea. We used to have it in Nigeria, it is currently being practiced successfully in many other countries in the world.

Tell us what the east contribute let's know.

Thanks to the north during the corona virus pandemic despite closure if borders Nigeria did not experience any form of food scarcity.

At least when it comes to agricultural proceeds we can bank on the north. Be it livestock or crops.

What can we bank on the east on?
