Xiaomi again outdid themselves with the redmi 9 series. Xiaomi devices are gaining traction in Nigeria and hopefully this continues so people would realize they can get a phone with superb features and functionality, all at a reasonable price.

Lol Transssion is not being criticized for using MTK chipsets, rather they are criticized for using old MTK chipsets and also repeating chipsets they used on their previous phones in their new phones, they only change the body of their phones but Xiaomi uses a new chipset in every new phone they make so the criticism is not about use of MTK.

Transssion chipset no dey pass Helio A22 and Helio P35 only recently did Infinix tried to use a more recent chipset which is the Helio G70 but they still killed the phone with a 720p display.

Snapdragon 665 in Redmi Note 8
Helio G90T in Redmi Note 8 Pro

Nobody is criticizing Transsion for using MTK rather them they used older MTK chipsets for new phones.

Samsung has a far better processor, far better display. I think the Samsung's camera is superior even with just one camera. The redmi just has a better battery because the Samsung comes with a 3000mah ba3.

So make your choice.

I forgot to add, I don't think you can get any updates on the s8 as Samsung stopped rolling out updates for the for a while now.
