Excuse of a liar, I bet you don't even know anyone working in the oil sector above a fuel attendant

Ajimobi shamed you lots in his transparent asset declaration form

Shame!!! On telling lies against a dead man shame!!
Can you please place an actual value on those farmlands as at 2012 so we can assess who the true liar is here. That’s just a start before I go and search for that 2011 property in the US and UK?

Okay Ajimobi a private citizen before 2011 stole Oyo State money to buy a house before he became a Governor

Let's call him a thief ..... Ole!!!

Hope you guys are happy now?

Whatever it is he should be called isn't my problem except if it'd change Nigeria into the vision the world had for it 60 years ago. It's not right to crucify a proven innocent man but at the same time, it's only wise to display knowledge with acknowledged limitations. We only react to the info the media provides, how much of what really goes on do we have info about. Why then should we keep spending time defending them given our limited knowledge?

I know someone who was a huge oil company director in the US but can’t afford to buy a house in Lekki in Nigeria till he moved to Nigeria and became MD. Even then he’s paying the house off slowly. Please some of us actually know executives in the oil industry. He’s by far your senior and a bonafied oil executive.
Well, his own business.

Every manager in my company has at least a house in Lagos (mostly in Lekki axis). Dont let me get started with executives.

Please, you are not comparing apples with apples. I understand you being aspirational, that's good BUT the precise example you gave of 5 houses in 3 states in Nigeria compared to 1.5m usd house in US, £450k UK plus N252m in the bank is far from being a valid comparison.
If I owned a house 5 years of working, 5 in 12 years of working, I can have those if I reach CEO level, retire to start my own companies, including an oil company (Network Petroleum - read that news well). Plus after one term as senator. This was Ajimobi’s profile as at that declaration in 2011.

Most of them buy from cooperatives which require paying over a period of time. Am I lying or is it true? Besides most in Nigeria do underhand deals. The ones in the US can not afford the life you people are living. Also US standard of living is very high. Mortgage alone will set you back about 3-4K every month Before other expenses like school fees and others. Where do you want to get the money to buy a house cash down in Lekki? They also don’t have the allowances. This guy I am telling you is a bonafied executive and he is paying for his allocation gradually. Also building a house gradually. Yet Ajimobi who was CEO for 2yrs can afford almost $4m in property, without even having a trace of credit in those countries. Make una fear Jesus. That’s not even including the ones in Nigeria.

Oh boy see money! How can we be sure he is worth this much? Abi did he 'amplify' his net worth with the aim of 'filling in the blanks' during his tenure as governor?
See you,he is at least 5 times richer than that in reality, this crooks will do anything to appear like ordinary during their inauguration

You were probably too lazy to read the news to the part that he declared that the UK/US houses were mortgage financed.

Clean Oyo , I did

Many more infrastructural development and his discipline

Now they hate him for standing for what was right fighting hard for Oyo and shaming amala politicians as a principled no nonsense guy..

You choose to let sentiment becloud your thinking. It still doesn't ADD UP. It's not rocket science. Others familiar with the industry already shared the facts as well.

Maybe you are already planning your future looting, good luck to you, just know that Nigerians are not smiling any longer.

You are probably too lazy to realize that you cannot get mortgage in the US and UK like that. You think mortgage is available to everyone? Ajimobi that did not live in the US in 26yrs. You people just support rubbish. No knowledge of what you are talking of. Educate yourself on the credit system and credit requirements in these countries. It takes years of building your credit rating to be qualified for a mortgage and you must have employment in the country where you are requesting mortgage. You think we are all fools here?

Ajimobi was an insurance company manager in New York for years, he worked with Malika's dad of keeping up with the Kardashians

To get a mortgage you need 5% to 30% down payment and income that far exceeds your 20 years repayment plan

But his successor declared similar assets in 2019. So what’s the fuss?

”The houses declared by the Makinde include nine buildings in Nigeria, two in the U.S. and one in South Africa.”

Good point. I can speak for the UK that non-resident mortgages are almost non-existent. It's typically cash sales for such purchases. Non-UK citizens often have difficulty accessing mortgages to buy property in the UK due to the strict and inflexible lending criteria of many high street lenders.

They think everywhere is Nigeria where wuru wuru is the order of the day. Banks in the West have to verify the source of the deposit and ensure no money laundering is taking place, which is why most Naija politicians buy cashdown to avoid scrutiny. Mofos.

Most of them don't have a clue of how the system works over there.
Someone that lives in different country will get mortgage in a western country.
Its absolutely impossible.

That's why concrete and tangible development will be far from this nation.

And the truth is that oyibo understand them very well.

They think all Nigerians online have lived all their lives on the farm so they can bobo us with rubbish talk. Many hard working Nigerians in US and UK can never qualify for mortgage and they work, live and have their papers correct. Not to talk of someone that hasn’t lived or worked in either of these countries in 26yrs.

I have only worked in the oil and gas industry as an employee for 12 years and only became a manager recently, and my company is not one of the top 15 oil companies in Nigeria.

If I get government position today, I have 5 houses (in 3 states) to declare. I'm still in my 30s. It may have reached 7 by 40 (Allah willing).

Guys, this is possible for someone who rose to become CEO of an oil company. And he made this declaration in his 60s.
The number of houses isn't the problem but the amount itself.

I don't support inefficiency. In fact, I was always looking forward to the next project of the State's Executive Council during Ajimobi's time because I know him to be a talk and do person. However, there's a level I can go in defending him. I know a little about his personal life though I agree with most of his policies. The truth will always win no matter what but the state should be defended first.

Let's be frank with ourselves, someone of Ajimobi's status could even have wealth and properties more than what he declared when he newly became governor. Some poor fellow that has never had #200,000 savings with poor and poverty mentality will always thought it was impossible..
