A 20-year old man, Samuel Nii Quaye who got missing at age 2 has finally reunited with his family, after he (Samuel) appeared on Atinka FM’s “Obi Adi Mawu programme” to recount his ordeal.

The 20-year old man who had been living with a fetish priest all his life said he got to know the man was not his biological father when his wife died.

Samuel Nii Quaye disclosed that prior to the burial of the wife of the fetish priest, his name was omitted from the section of the obituary which had the names of the children of the deceased.

According to Samuel, he inquired from children of the fetish priest, who he thought were his biological siblings, why his name had been deleted from the obituary only to be told that he was sold to the fetish priest over 18 years ago.

After the revelation, Samuel embarked on a journey to look for his biological parents, a search which brought him to Atinka Media Village and subsequently shared his story on Atinka FM’s “Obi Adi Mawu”, show.

Samuel narrated his ordeal on the programme and before the programme ended, more than four families had come to report that they had lost their son some 18 years ago.

Of all the families that came, it was only the Nii Quaye family who returned after they were asked to go for a DNA to confirm the paternity of the child.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6YZ9e6xbeU
The result of the paternity test was 99.98 %.

“Immediately I saw the boy I knew that he was my son. He had a birth mark at his back which was confirmed by Atinka FM’s Pastor Martin and his team and so I was not surprised the DNA test confirmed it”, father of the boy, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Quaye said amidst tears.

Mother of the child, Alberta Yartey, who could not hold back her tears said the return of her son is a confirmation that there is a supreme being called God.

Grandmother of the child, Diana Collison, who was accused of being a witch after her grandson got missing, told atinkaonline.com that she has been vindicated.

Also speaking to Atinkaonline, the host for the Program, Pastor Martin Semordzi, who formally reunited Samuel Nii Quaye with his family expressed gratitude to God and asked the father of the boy to take care of him since he had really suffered.

“Obi Adi Mawu”, a program, which brings to light the bad deeds of so-called men of God airs on Atinka FM from Monday to Friday from 10am to 12pm.

The Program is repeated on Atinka TV from Monday to Friday from 9pm to 10pm.

They should be careful and do a thorugh psychological and background check on the guy. 18 years not a joke, apart from blood, he probably has no values in common with them. He might have been groomed as anything. I watch too many movies. grin grin grin

It takes courage to do what he did...now they are going to be strangers to each other, how does he relate with a family he's not had any relationship with for over 18years, real deep and difficulty.

Maybe a ritualist took him to be used for sacrifice and the juju man 'fell in love' with him and decided to adopt him.

But how come a 20 year old is looking like 30?

StagethemTVee:
Samuel Nii Quaye, a boy who went missing when he was only two years old has finally been found by his real family at 20 years old.

According to reports from Atinkaonline, the boy was found after their traditional media, Atinka FM, hosted Samuel who recounted his story and mentioned all he has been through since childhood.

Samuel said he has been living with a fetish priest throughout his life and only realized they were not actually related after the man’s wife was deceased.

The obituary poster of the late woman did not include Samuel’s name, which confused him until he enquired about this to his siblings who said he was brought to them more than 18 years back.

From that moment, the missing boy decided to trace his roots and locate his family, a quest that brought him to the radio station where his story was aired.

It is reported that after the radio show featured Samuel, four different families called saying they had lost their son about 18 years ago.

They were all asked to undertake a DNA test that confirmed Samuel belonged in the Nii Quaye family. The result of the paternity test was 99.98%.

Samuel’s father indicated that he recognized a birthmark on him and was absolutely sure the result was going to prove Samuel was his son.

The mother of the child, Alberta Yartey, could not hold back her tears and said the return of her son was a confirmation that there truly is a supreme being called God.

You just report news with no location whatsoever undecided

Bitter Sweet Victory. They just invited a stranger into their house. A 20 year old man who has lived with a Fetish priest for 18 years is not a "normal brother"

good...what a very touching and emotional story and i thankGOD dt he was finally found..
i keep telling people that for someone to be dead mayb in an accident or during a war is somehow better than for the person to be declared missing and i have my reasons..
a scenario happened in my school back then in early 2000 when we were in jss2, our teacher back then asked the professions of our parents and how many years they have been on the work...
there was a special case of guy named chuks dt always goes mute on the said question and when asked he said his dad was a soldier and he died in the line of duty many years ago
and another case of an efe guy dt said his dad was once a soldier too but returned after several missions and suddenly started behaving metally unbalanced and on a said date he jus went out of his ous and never came back, and they have been searching for him for years...
we pitied both cases but in my mind i kept thinking, is it not better for him to be dead and buried and forgotten than to be searching, believing and hoping for his return for decades

He was sold at 2 years old. Imagine the nonsense.
This kind of reunion stories would be commonplace in Igboland in a few years with the way babies are sold like recharge card especially Anambra people.
