authority2006:clearly there is different between living and surviving bro.. everything would still be blamed on the government if we are gonna be truthful with ourselves.. Some people make money legitimately through online work or one or two businesses, but compare the ratio with those that fail.. If you won't mind we can open thread and thrash it out |

seanwilliam:Are you telling me that Invictus Obi had no good paying job in the US before engaging in fraud? See, here in the US, there are Nigerians who work 4 jobs to live! Why did they choose to work and not scam people? Do you think compromising business emails(like Hush and co) is rocket science? Many people in the US can do this but we just choose to stay true to our core values and integrity. Life is a process and things take time. I will rather work as a cleaner than to be a fraudster. My cousin is in Dubai. He used to work as a cleaner before getting a better job. Why did Hush Puppi not follow this route? The issue here is greed and impatience. These guys just want to ”enjoy” the best things possible via shortcuts. |

MondayOsunbor:What's the business of the American justice system with Nigerian politicians? They are interested in Hush because he defrauded ordinary Americans. Punishing politicians is the sole responsibility of Nigerians. |

Crispels:Lol,the more I reply you, the more some dumbass would think I'm defending scam.. Bro over there, you have basic needs of life.. in Dubai they have basic needs of life... so even if you making little amount of money in usa, you are better than over 70% of Nigerians ... U are LIVING in the USA, we are SURVIVING in Nigeria... Like I have said, MOST people delve into scam in other to survive. There would always be exception to every case..( invictus obi case) |

planetx:As in, the matter tire me. It just shows that there are so many illiterates on nairaland. Just one YouTube clip of American prisons will show any sensible person that US prisons are terrible. These morons on nairaland also don't know that US prisoners are used for slave labor and don't have first amendment rights so cannot refuse to work. |

authority2006:Did you see the likes that comment had More likes than quotes obviously not everyone would agree everyone is not supposed to agree especially on topics as dicey as that, morality is a spectrum to each individual has his definitions. That is why morality and law are 2 different things what is moral isn't always legal and what is legal isn't leats moral. If you are judging based on engagements the original post had over 450 likes and less than 20 quotes, meaning it received 20 times more positive feedback than negative even some of the quotes were positive one even urging me to be President. Don't attack the argumentators or the supporters of the argument, attack the argument itself. |

Fucsheetup:You should be ashamed of yourself. I will rather be a homeless road cleaner than to engage in fraudulent or evil activities all under the guise of getting rich. What the hell is wrong with this generation? Why are people so greedy, desperate and impatient? Nonsense! |

gaventa:The problem is not bad governance but greed and impatience. Hush Puppi found his way to Dubai - where he has access to good jobs and stuff. He chose not to work but engage in fraud. And he ended up spending his loot on luxury lifestyle. If you take all these Naija yahoo boys to the USA(where there is good governance) and give good jobs - they will still look for means to scam people. Because they want to drive Benz. Live lavishly forgetting that life is a process and things take time. Most of these people are not looking for how to meet their basic needs. They are all in a hurry to live in luxury - neglecting the fact that people in developed countries largely live an average lifestyle. When Americans deride Nigerians with terms like ”Nigerian Prince” or ”419”, do they refer to Nigerian politicians or ordinary Nigerians who engage in cybercrime? This shows you who really brings us shame. Nonsense! |

DuBLINGreenb:Shitty comments have that history on Nairaland. I was still trying to understand the lesson in that comment. obviously not everyone would agree everyone is not supposed to agree especially on topics as dicey as that, morality is a spectrum to each individual has his definitions. That is why morality and law are 2 different things what is moral isn't always legal and what is legal isn't leats moral. This is a bold faced lie. The quotes were more than 20 and less than 5% were positive. I can volunteer to analyse if you wish Don't attack the argumentators or the supporters of the argument, attack the argument itself. What was the argument again? Crimes justification |

What you fail to understand is that before 419 Nigeria was called "CORRUPT". I quite agree with all you have said but what we all fail to understand is that Our politicians brought this on us. It didn't start today and it won't end in a Day. International world didn't call us CORRUPT because of 419 or Internet Fraud. They called us Corrupt because of the practices of our leaders as such they don't expect anything better. Kindly good the list if most wanted cyber crime persons or countries in the world. You will barely find an African country on that list but you will find Asians, Russians on that list. If internet fraud was tbe yardstick why are other Asian and Russians nationals not stereo typed in foreign countries. Do you know why? They have a system that's ready to prove that the culprit's are not up to 1% of the entire country but our own people don't know themselves. They end up being jostled around and setliing for less bro. Our leaders are our problems, they loot funds and bring shit to our face anf we think the common man who is not promised the next meal will just overlook that? Orji uzor Kalu was welcomed by the Senate president despite being charged for Corruption , so many sitting senators are still answering Corruption cases but nothing is done. So many things have gone wrong and they act like they are above the law but we forget all of this are insensitive causes of the average Nigerian wanting to get money at all cost. Let's not b sentimental, not everyone can or will settle for less. Same way we have our politician not relenting in looting despite acquiring exess is the same way that Fraudster will not relent because the mindset is that you can violate and get away with it. There is no country without Corruption but when a govt praises thieves don't blame the common man also when he does same. You steal small you get largerr sentences so why not steak big and get hailed just like uzor Kalu and Abacha. Crispels: |
