Most important find out what she's allergic (triggers) to and let her avoid it like a plague.

Find out what triggers it..

It can either be dusty environment, smoke, cold, excessive sweating, fried foods et al... Her environment should be breathable, her inhaler/ventoline/sabutamol/piriton should be kept at strategic places and should always be refilled...

If possible, disconnect the AC's and fans in your room

My 11 year old daughter has been asthmatic from birth and has known how to take care of herself from having crisis

Re: Please Help: My Wife Has Asthma by Veronn: 6:04pm On Jul 04, 2020
It depends , if it s not a chronic one and she has never used inhaler before, don't get her inhaler, it s not a threat to pregnancy , she should just have ventolin sabutamol with her all d time. Whenever she feels d symptom, she should just take ventolin with either piriton or perylone. She should stay away from frying and abstain from cold water. She should also know her symptoms as some come as cattarh, chest pain or difficulty in breathing and chest pain. It s not as serious as u think , just know what to do when she feel symptoms . IF SHE S NOT USED TO INHALER DONT BOTHER GETTING IT.

From a personal standpoint, you both should endeavor to identify the triggers.
For some, it is dust, frying palm oil, etc.

Identify the triggers and help her avoid them.
Ensure to keep bedsheets clean at all times, say 2 bedsheets in a week.
Maintain a general and good hygiene.

I’m not sure if this applies to anyone but before she gets an attack, she might have probably felt it coming. I would recommend she takes the ventolin (salbutamol) tablet at this point.

What if she gets an attack? Get the ventolin inhaler and make use of it. If the condition doesn’t get better, head to an hospital.

In summary,
- Identify triggers and avoid it
- Keep personal hygiene
- Use the ventolin drug if she feels an attack coming
- Have an inhaler at hand in case there’s an attack

Good luck

Nothing to fret about i had managed it for more than 30years I ensure that i stay away from anything that can trigger it such as dusty area because its an allergic condition and i take ventoline or predisolone whenever i notice tightness in my chest which is not always

She should avoid what trigger asthmatic crisis.
Dusty environment, strong alcoholic perfumes, lot of spices aroma in the kitchen.

Please oo!!! Make sure your wife is not using Ventolin ALONE. Using salbutamol alone has been linked to increased rate of asthma related DEATH!!!

If you should use salbutamol at all make sure you use it in combination with a low dose inhaled corticosteroid. I'm not sure the brands available where you are but Symbicot is very good for both releiving acute attack and preventing attacks.

Please talk to ur doctor or pharmacist!!!!

Inhilation is very good, please let her manage it if possible without her inhaler, she can do this, let her know her allergies and run away from it or them, asthma is not a death sentence it's just a respiratory challenge that can be managed effectively.
There are a lot of respiratory disease worse than asthma...

Nothing to fear brother. I stopped using inhalar years ago when somebody introduced me to these cheap drugs. At 1st i take it morning n evening but now i only take it when i find it difficult to breath. Ventoline, franol n predesolone. When is serious i take 2 of each but i usually take 1 each.

With these plenty drugs mentioned, you're saying there's nothing to worried about? When these drugs aren't handy, what becomes her fate? cool
Re: Please Help: My Wife Has Asthma by oyejideogunjumo: 6:08pm On Jul 04, 2020
She should get inhaler handy at all times. In her bag when going out. By the bed side when sleeping. She should avoid dust, smoke, frying areas, etc or anything that can choke or cause coughing

I beg, even there are medical doctors on NL, this is not a medical facility or consultation arena.
Go to the hospital and see a Dr for comprehensive knowledge of what to do...
