MyRace:
I maintain: IRCC said they will continue to PROCESS AND REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS, while waiting for applicants to provide them. The only thing is that no final decision will be made or anyone refused on the bases of incomplete documents.

A visa officer can process and complete an application with or without Biometrics. You have submitted enough documents to show who you are!
Canada only introduced Biometrics barely 2 years ago in 2018.

Besides, are you aware that they have given a waiver to Essential Temporary Workers who are unable to give Biometrics in their countries to get it done at their port of entries? What does thay tell you? Visa applications can be processed without Biometrics if IRCC chooses to authorize it.

Everything I have written here is verifiable on the CIC website.

Your current position is "pre-covid", right now, things are not as rigid as you're trying to make it look. As for your friend, every application is different.

@MyRace

Sincerely, you have expressed my thoughts. I wish to share my testimony likewise that I submitted my application June 4th, received request for biometrics on a Saturday about two days after submission and later got a request for medicals on July 1st while still awaiting the VFS in Nigeria to give my biometrics.

Let us know that no two applications are the same just as our faces differ. The commonest thing I observed here is many people often kill themselves in fear of nothing that exist. I belong to the Winners family and certainly, I believed my application will be different and I will return again to share my final testimony.

Personally, I thank God for the journey so far and appreciate every contributors on this forum. I have learned so much and am indeed grateful. I will return soon before the end of the month to inform the house of my successful Visa application.

Hello Lekiboboe,

In my IMM1294E and IMM5257B, I typed my full name in the section for signature, I just checked and saw that I was supposed to leave it blank. Should I refill the forms or can I upload like this?

Hello Lekiboboe,

In my IMM1294E and IMM5257B, I typed my full name in the section for signature, I just checked and saw that I was supposed to leave it blank. Should I refill the forms or can I upload like this?

-There is no signature section on IMM 5257B form, u only need to VALIDATE it, then SAVE

- For the IMM 1294e form, u are not to leave the signature column blank, u have to write ur full name ,validate, then save....

And make sure ur IMM 1294e has some Barcode rectangular sign, scroll down to see them

1) What did u study in ur undergraduate?
The answer to this question will bring about an avenue to know a potential 2 year PGD program that u can go for which should relate to ur former degree (for progression reason)

2) This Grad. Diploma program @ MUN is a 1 year Program

Its the Master's (MASc.) Of this program @ MUN that is 2 years

And the Admission requirement for both the Grad. diploma & MASc. Of this Program is a 2nd Class UPPER ( that's called a "B" )

This link below explains it more better
https://www.mun.ca/engineering/graduate/programs/safety_risk/index.php

Your best bet now is to look for a college (DLI) that offers a 2 year PGD program (offering PGWP) in a field related to ur fmr. degree (B.TECH/B.SC/HND)

Find attached a PDF file of Colleges in Canada and their Post Grad. Diploma programs

All da best!!!

Pls dis clause does it mean the 400l and 500l cgp must not b less than 2.1 for d last 2 yrs
If yes I meet d criteria

Hmm,

Ok, Did the school state that they want a Minimum of 2nd Class Upper (Hons.) ,and must have a "B" in his or her last 2 years?
or
they only made mention of only last 2 years "B" for applicants irrespective of his/her graduating CGPA?

-What if a 3rd Class Student had a 2.1 ( "B" ) in his Last 2-years?

I will suggest u mail the school for more enquiries & clarification as stated in the other part of this screenshot, most esp. on the case of ur 3.2 CGPA & the "B" u had in the last two years so as to know if u meet their Admission Criteria.

Do await more response & Suggestions from the forum

U can also check out University of Saskatchewan
https://grad.usask.ca/programs/find-a-program.php

Some of their Admission requirements jz looks like the one in the screenshot u posted.

But note that Grad. Diploma & Masters Admission can be competitive in Universities, that's why they do say its quite competitive & limited space are available, u might need to shoot ur shot well

I advise you get a new passport, you can explain that the other is expiring at so so date and you want a new passport that starts from the date the former is expiring. It's just a matter of explaining yourself. Even if you don't get a new one, you can go to the Nigerian embassy in canada before the due date to when your passport is expiring to get a new one.. at least there, no delays and no shady whatever

Good evening house. Please I need a headup urgently.
In 2018,I applied for Postgraduate Diploma programme in Economics. My Visa application was denied.

My academic background : I'm a First class graduate from University of Ibadan, department of Economics Education. I just concluded my Masters last December from University of Lagos.

A family friend encouraged that I apply for a short program of one year. The program is a diploma course.

My concerns: The course is not a progression of my academic background. However,it's a program that's not yet run in Nigeria.

Please what's your take on this? Anyone that can help ,please?Should I go ahead or start looking for PhD.programme in Canada ?

I am 37 years,married with three kids.

Hello everyone,

Pls I am gathering all my documents and am a bit confused.
The program I applied for is not related to my current employment but related to my 1st degree.

Do I still need to submit reference and employment letter in my application?

Please your response is highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

The phrase "The program is not yet run in Nigeria" might not carry much weight, and the distance of ur academic qualifications to a DIPLOMA is way too much

For progression in ur academic background as mentioned,

PH.D is your best shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if ur e-mail to the Professor/Dr. , PH.D thesis proposal is tight, u can even get Partial to Fully-funded Opportunities

Visit the links below for schools offering
PH.D in Economics in CANADA

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Economics&program_level_merged=Doctorate&program_language=ENGLISH

U can also use the link to search for PH.D programs related to Economics in skools in Canada if Economics is not ur area of interest for PH.D

Note:
Since ur possible admission intake is JANUARY WINTER 2021 intake,
U can as start contacting and sending mails to potential supervisors, cos the duration of getting a PH.D/Masters Admission can quite long or sometimes longer (2-5 months)

Check my post on page 112 on

@Mogullet, you can always request a new passport from the immigration office. Tell them you need the passport for a longer period, they will stamp out the old one so you won't use it again and you can proceed with capturing for a new one.

Mogullet:
Happy Sunday my People. Please I have one probelm that I need your advice on.

My passport is getting expired sept 2021 but my PGD prog for Saskpoly would end in Dec 2021.

Please guys, what do you advise I do. I would like to do a new passport and have the visa stamped on it so that I don't have to worry about renewal when I get to Canada.

On the other hand, I being sceptical because I don't know if I can get a new one from our immigration office since the old one isn't expired and I'm afraid the VO may be uncomfortable with me presenting a new passport since the old one isn't expired yet.

Please I need your help to tackle this issue.

You are right when you say no two applications are the same. Submitted mine since March. No word up till now.

It will end with a testimony.

@MyRace

Hello Qudkom, please I want to pick your brains a little. I notice you are in BC.
I have two admissions - one in UBCO (Kelowna) and the other in TRU. They cost about the same - roughly 18k for a two year masters.
I have been following job postings on indeed for some time to get a feel for the job opportunities in both towns, and it appears Kamloops has less opportunity than Kelowna, while Kelowna appears to be more expensive based off what I read online. What’s your opinion of the pros and cons of either school based on employment opportunities and affordability post degre?
Thanks
First and foremost do your self a favor and stop checking indeed. That's where people mostly get jobs but dont for once think it's that straight forward. Kelowna is a larger city with more opportunities maybe but it doesn't necessarily mean anyone will find a job easily either. Both cities are relatively small and living expenses anywhere in BC is expensive. Rent and utilities will be a average of $550-700 a month. Also you'll still have to pay MSP(Medical service plan) of $75 monthly in BC. Lastly, if you are strictly skewed towards jobs then go to kelowna 100%. If you want a balanced conditions then Kamloops. Kamloops is small you can come in adapt and figure out the next move.
