The Competition will be so high

The more riders we have, the more trips they get

The onus is on Uber and Bolt to create more awareness and publicity, so that more riders can enter the game

It's just that there are a lot of factors limiting the potential of ehailing: bad roads, traffic, safety....

If not, Ehailing has not lived up to its potential in Lagos

Do u also know how many people that have stopped doing ehailing work?

People have always been joining this hustle and it does stop the existing drivers from earning.

Bros your money correct na they didnt cheat you.

230 x 10 = N2,630
18.7km x 65 = N1,215.5
Base fee is = N200
Total is N4,045.5

They even did well by rounding it up to 4,100. Uber would pay N4,000

The reason is better in time spent is because it's N11\min which would have given you N4,215.
Working when there is too much traffic doesn't pay, wether Uber or bolt.
Do you know how much distance he would have covered with that time spent in traffic?

Plus the stress, being more prone to getting bashed and the car going through more stress.

Distance pays more, that's why you tend to earn more on weekends like Sundays when the roads are a bit free.
Anytime there is traffic the best is to use your head, select trips that will pay you.

I think your friend is making a good decision investing a million or less on a car for ehailing. He will recoup his investment on time.

He can try honda civic and city, he may be lucky to get matrix also, someone once got a good and clean matrix for 950k. With patience, he should also get big daddy for less than a million.

The most important thing is to get a good and non-problematic car, so it is advisable he looks very well before leaping.

Good luck

Bro from the way uber itself is going due to the world pandemic you need to position ourselves along change oh. 2016 Toyota car! And they mentioned somewhere that they're the preferred uber flirt company. So don't you think this guys have the power to rent uber for like 10yrs and regulate the rules to suit them? One of the rules they may come up with is that uber will only accept car from 2010 or 2012 upwards just to make them relevant.

Mind you, Americans has a way of signing contracts and they respect their contract a lot.

So I see a very big wave in the nearby future with availing coming from uber especially.

Mind you, no rider would want to ride on a 2003 car when he can as well get same service on a latest and comfortable car like 2016.

So guy, you better stop fighting against the prick instead join the moving train.

Do you know the cost of maintaining a 2016 corolla?

My broda, you don't want to go that route on a #60/km. #11/min billing.

That fare will NEVA maintain a 2016 corolla.

They are new cars, so? they won't undergo wear and tear..

So wat happens if you get a trip to Baruwa inside, iyana ipaja, Old -ota road, Kola, agbado axis... You will gladly drive a 2016 corolla there or you will decline.

.Dont sweat it bro.. No wave is coming......

Uber Nigeria will NEVA upgrade cars, you know why? Simple ! The Lagos economy can't sustain such cars.

Don't deceive yourself, Lagos doesn't even rank tops in terms of riders and usage in Sub Saharan African cities. What % of riders versus a population of over 20 million.
.

So? What is d hype about.

If you were an investor, will you buy a brand new car for fares of #60/ km.?

For me, I don't think they are wrong. They just need to balance both sides.

Like I said, ehailing has not been harnessed sef...

96% of cars on the platform only ply very few local governments in Lagos. That's why it looks like the business is saturated.

Every driver currently wants a VI, Ikoyi, Lekki, Yaba, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Surulere, Ojodu/Berger trip and others. Most parts of the mainland and even the island are still uncovered

This is due to a lot of factors: Bad roads, Traffic, Absence of night life, insecurity and others

Ikorodu is still barren
Badagry is still barren
Epe is still barren
Apapa, Ajegunle, Okoko and a lot of other areas....Now, drivers are starting to boycott Festac, Satellite and it's environs

Uber is still a good business to me. It's just that so many factors are against it currently.

As for saturated, I don't think it has

Sometimes you need to stand your ground with some riders...it's not a do or die business relationship...you must remind them what they ordered for is a car and not a boat or canoe.

If you like do boy boy....Ur car go hear am

I don't know why guys always find it difficult to come to terms that the business have always been on the decline, partners withdraw cars and that makes it better?
Do you think of the thousands of cars been added to the platforms everyday?

Even if they do that's never gonna make it what becomes what it use to be even in advanced countries with all these features still lament about the decline!
