Sorry for disappointing you, chief. Someone has do the dirty work here.

Most days you can find me being perfectly reasonable and contributing peacefully. This episode, for instance, began when I gave my own sincere rational opinion and was attacked for it, because some individuals here hate when people don't support their nonsense.

I'm not in the habit of lying down and getting kicked. I'll give as much as I receive, it's just a shame that some only know how to dish out but not to receive.

Stop sounding petty and contrite ! You are notorious for this stupidity here and I am here to correct that madness ! Take this from me ! Enough of this stupidity!

When you started dishing out stupidity by telling the man on his priorities and when you where saying some stupid side comments when you were insulted on other threads on your trolling

One thing I have come to realize is that you just never owned a Benz and your signature is clear on that.... Just keep your lousy advise on your Nissan thread.... That's what you drive!

Have you gotten your discharge certificate from NYSC ?

Ikenna351:

A man I share same street with has about 5 Benz vehicles. Few years ago, he owned two W163. One was his and the 2nd was his wife's. I think he also at that time had about two W203 (black and Metallic colours) mostly driven by his teenage sons.

Recently, he added or replaced the W163 with W164 (not sure if the W163 are still in his compound). Since I knew him, He has never owned any other brand except Benz, and not just one Benz. I can't really tell how many Benz he has now, but more than 1, and that I know.

Logical adult males find life fulfilment in different things in life that differ from other men, including automobiles. Some men find it in specific brands of vehicles, probably because of the brand signature/designs in all their vehicles (both new & old). Some find theirs in things that are not car related. It's up to you to figure out things that fulfill your life in your own path. Listening to another man to lead your life for you is something I find it hard to understand. Your first car won't be your last car. Worst case, you switch to a different car or brand next time, if the Benz brand didn't give you the fulfilment you desired.

I am not into Benz, I but I have as lot of respect for the brand, based on my personal observations on their road handling capabilities whenever I am on long distance drive. I have relations and personally know some people that own W202 & W203 that have never complained to me about the ownerships of their Benz. There are people that earn less than you said you earn and they maintain these Benz comfortably for years. Don't let anyone distract or push you off your own life path.

Thank you Boss.

WHEN EIS STRIKES
I think everyone needs a distraction from these endless fights so I'll drop the gist of my recent travails with the W204 C300.
I went out in the morning and returned home, no issues.
Wanted to go get something nearby but when I stuck my key in the ignition, I didn't hear the ESL unlocking. Turned it to start and nothing happened, bros was telling me to remove key from ignition
And so it began. My mech came in to check it out, verdict: Almighty EIS has struck cry
He tried knocking/tapping it but the ESL wouldn't bulge so he disassembled the steering and took it with him alongside the EIS.
2 days later, he's back with the ESL replaced and a new key, all had been programmed of sort. Then he was able to start the car and take it to his shop to complete other programs and repairs.
Now this is the shocker, given the past experiences i read on this, I was already scared on repair cost but it turned out quite alright, the fix cost roughly 120k.
I'd say any C300 is good to go if this is one of the worst issues it can have, everything else is pretty solid.
When I got it in January, I changed water pump, front shocks, linkage and plugs, besides those, its been a joy to drive.

Yep. 120k isn't a bad expense for someone who owns a recent Benz. Solid car, really.

If you get a sound E350 that hasnt been abused, you don't have anything to worry about mechanical issues.Use the right fluids and service every 6 months .You will be fine,Benz engines hardly kaput except abused and the abuse must be severe.

Yes, not bad at all, people who had done this in the past put my expectations around 250/300k. I was pleasantly surprised

Yeah, pleasant surprise. Seems like it's gotten a lot cheaper over the past two years or so.

Asking the real questions. Probably not, I'd say. Though it's possible the replacement units are sourced from the latter models that didn't have that issue.

I would like to think that's the case. Spending 120k at once is no biggie but if you have to replace it two-three times then that's a problem.

there is a way they bypass the EIS. But then, the vehicle is at risk of theft. They also work on this module in ladipo, get a new key and program to it for about 50k or less.

Yeah, I like reading you most days.
Well, it should have been an interesting discussion.
I got 2004 230k and it's been quite amazing. I've not owned a backwheel drive salon since my 190E and I've been reminded of how fun they can be.
I love the way the car is built (the W203) and I like the M271 engine. It also fitted right into my budget. It's quite sporty and quick too.
W204 is a better choice but it's too 'loud' for my liking. (I'm not looking to make a statement and the 204 clearly does)

My point is that folks have different reasons for buying stuff. I think it's preposterous to say that 2000 Mercedes-Benz (like W202) would be a money pit.

Whatever one's choice in cars, liquor or women, make sure it scratches your itch (be it the itch on your toe, throat or manhood). That's the simplest formula to enjoy life!

By the way, you guys are great.
Special thanks to kingreign. My AC is working as it should now.

Have owned that W204 for 4+ years now.
Apart from suspension parts, only significant thing I changed is rear differential for a cheap 25k.
Others na wear and tear items.
I wonder how ppl erroneously think that car is expensive to maintain.
