Bro, Travel. Make sure its a good place, when you are working in a better economy, you will complete that house.

I know a few relatives that have done this and even some that are doing bigger projects like mansions in their village, although going abroad won't guarantee him immediate money but in the long run he will enjoy it cos value of our currency at the moment is trashy so think of what he can do if he sends $500 a month down here (which is small money in America or any place abroad with powerful currency) and come back to build his house after a year or 2, as he already have land it'll even be easier for him

Funny, though, one of the priority of those abroad is to build a house . Consider how long it will take you to get a residence permit that will enable you to work then consider the country, too not all country have vacancies this covid era, permanent residence is really not solid so consider how long to get a nationality. i beg finish your house so when you spend years struggling over there you take solace that you have a house already. not to talk of those you think will help you disappointing you and above all pray not to be deported back before you regularise your document

My advice is this

If the said land is located to where people are living already, pls out a room and parlor as boys quarter and put a tenant there to watch over the land

The fencing of land doesn't guarantee you that it will not be resold to another person especially if you don't go there every quarter of the year

Then take the remaining one and go abroad to study, work and recover the money spent on your studies

While you are abroad, it's upto you to either settle there or come back home after studying

if you have enough money to build a house then it's not bad, but if your dream housing project is big then I'll advice you to take caution cos going abroad is still a risky game especially at this point in time.... but some risk are worth taking sha the thing is your housing project is small or average then stay here and build and plan for abroad later
