For corolla, my experience is using Mobil 1, it's I think ₦4,900 or so in d mkt.
Everty 4 weeks, I drain the oil whether it is dark, sticky or not.

I put a new one with new filter.

I don't believe in keeping engine oil in a car for more than 4 weeks esp. If the car moves about daily.

If 5k monthly can prevent me from shopping for a tokunbo engine replacement, why not?

Bros.... Are you sure you know what you're doing or saying. Mobil 1 #4,900 and you replace in 4weeks. You need to read up more about your car maintenance, apologies if i sound harsh. Because it is really a contradicting statement up there, plus oil filter change in 4weeks is also unnecessary.
We really need to start reading manual in Nigeria. It a very health culture we need to embrace for knowledge.

Sorry for mix up, d regular Mobil sold @ 4,900.

Its mineral technology n not synthetic.

Maintenance culture ? It won't harm the car if I drain the oil n put a new one as long as its the same brand and weight of oil I use.

The question here is, @ wat km interval should one change the engine oil?

Let me shed some light on this topic for you.
Have you heard of oil viscousity.?
Each engine have specification for their capacity in order to work efficiently and last for their design life.
And the clearance volume of your cylinder life is dependent on this.
It not about how long the 20W 50 stays in your engine but is it giving your engine hard time to circulate. The oil is viscocity is thicker and it affect movement of your engine shafts lubrication and you might not feel the effect now but later cause early tear and wear later on. Mind you your engine will work fine now but think the long term.
The OEM know the grade of oil suitable for your engine and it has been recommended in other for it design life. I don't know why you think else.

My experience with lastma this morning

I was taking a rider to adeniji/ apongbon area. I heard costain was blocked, decided to use 3mb. When we were approaching carter, my map was saying continue straight (naso I fire down speed lane). 150m from the bridge, rider said I should use carter. Naso I enter all the mathematical formula wey I sabi inside my head. I needed to be fast too. I watched my mirrors quickly, slowed down a lil, on trafficator (cars and buses werent making the switch easy for me). I managed to enter 3rd lane then moved to exit with full speed ( that was scary tho, brt was at my tail and too close). I finally succeeded in making the exit. Na so I see lastma with iron and phone jumped up to block me.
Officer: park
Me: okay, what’s my offence?
Officer: u don’t know how to drive, where is your licence?
Me: I get only soft copy for inside phone, the main one no Dey( my original copy is always in the car).
Officer: u no get licence, we go tow u (van done already show from no where oooo)
Me: Oga, why do us want to tow me? What’s my offence? I didn’t do anything wrong (knowing fully well that I did wrong but why lastma go Dey threaten driver anyhow na)
*in my mind I de think of post wey people say them climb that iron, abi make I follow try am? No. I fit loss*
Officer: give me your key and come down
Me: why? I didn’t do anything. Please, I’m in a hurry. Okay, shey u recorded me, show me. Make I see my offence for your phone.
*Lastma checks phone I think he couldn’t find anything*
(I remember reading post about sura lastma naso I say make I settle am comot before matter go plenty)
I gave him and his 2 guys 1k, rider added 1k.

I thought I should give this ekocab a try and this was the mail they sent me which was later followed by a text msg. So for those looking for a car could also try them. I am sure your riders won't mind if you show up with a neat yellocab.

just message bolt now. mehn you guys driving are really trying especially those on HP or delivering una they try.

Your fare price needs to be look into especially in Lagos.

65naira/per km and 10naira/per min is damn too low, compare to the traffic situation in Lagos with bad road that leads to your car tyres and shock been damage .

Well as for me, is not a fare price at all. All i can see is that your organisation pleasing only your riders while trying to milk your drivers dry.

I guess looking into the price will attract and inspire more driver to work especially during the raining season.

As for me, i have quit working for you guys until further notice.

Thank God say na me own car n not driving for anyone.

Regards

This is where Uber is better. You cancel after 5 mins and getvyour 300 naira. Waiting time too counts better than Bolt.

No be only you dey feel the pain bro. 2months earning May and June has all going into repairs and maintenance no savings. This is as a result of bad roads. Throughout last 2months I have been taking trips to bad areas ikotun, idimu, mushing, oshodi, ijegun, Egbeda, Abulegba, Akute, Ojodu, Mile 2, Ikorodu inside, iyana ipaja, agege, iju and so on. 80% of my trips are to these bad bad places.
The fares are too small to maintain and repair your car and still have savings. It doesn't read in traffic. Now that raining season has come every road in Lagos is getting uglier everyday. I cant be driving to these bad places, damaging my car and use all my earnings to fix the car. It doesn't make sense at all. It like someone is moving in circle, no profit no earning. I rather prefer places like Ikeja, yaba surulere, gbagada, yaba, kosofe axis, Lagos island, lekki, Ajah, etc. Places where 80% of the road are good. To maintain and repair Car is not easy with the low fares we get on daily,
I Just changed my shocks, linkage, bushing and stabiliser rubber Lask 2weeks.

INDriver is not a bad one. U use it as additional to BOLT or Uber. The good thing about it. You take trips you want, refusing to take trips doesn't affect your rating, you offer your price, Their rating system is open and transparent not like Bolt or uber You see all destination of trip request. You see what riders are saying about your service and that gives the opportunity to improve. Zero commission u pay no dime. All the money is yours. The bad side is that, it doesn't read in traffic, they don't have large rider base yet and they are still growing. I see them seriously competing with uber and Bolt in 2years to come. If they can work on their pricing and App features, they may take over. It favours the driver and rider at the same time
