A lot of dumb advice from people that have never flown from Lagos to Abuja and vice versa. You people watch to many Hollywood movies. Dont worry go to America a $100,000 job is waiting for you or your imaginary friend. You people will make good comedians.

Please which countries did they leave to? Legal or illegal migration? Did they study in universities over there? What kind of schools? I understand my questions are quite personal but since it's a faceless forum, maybe you could breakdown things. I ask because the entire picture should be shown.

Thanks.
It's highly personal bro...But they in (UAE and Sweden) and there was a reason I said grace differs, I may not succeed if I go but another person will... they studied here in Nigeria from reputable Universities... Off course they left legally!!

My post ain't to discourage anyone from leaving o, cause me self go japa if opportunity comes" but if you're with the notion of "when we get there, we shall cross the bridge" then na express you de go so, especially if you're doing well here in Nigeria, just know "It's not always greener on the other side"

Nigerian youths are really poor in mind, its a pity!

For you guys information, Nigeria is a goldmine oh, there are trillions to be made in Nigeria honestly.

Wherever there is population in this world, there is $billions to be made, all you need to make that billions is to find what to offer to people to solve their problems and you are on your way to becoming a billionaire.

I have friends who started business with less than 1million naira some few years back, today these guys are worth hundreds of millions and few worth billions in naira. I am talking about young guys below 40yrs not thiefing grandpas like Tinubu and Rochas and co.

No matter how bad any country is, people are hosting parties there. As Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somali are ravaged by war of many decades, some people are dancing Azonto while the guns blazes.

My point, if US, Canada, Australia, Germany say they no want to welcome you Nigerians again, then tell them to hell with them and their barren nations and fold your sleeves and till the Nigerian soil and you will have too much to buy any nation's citizenship without doing illegal job or business.

There is plenty money in Nigeria oh, plenty money, if you have traveled out of Nigeria and come back, you will realize how easy it is to become a billionaire in Nigeria than in abroad as a Nigerian.

Nigerian youths think home. Fight the old corrupt politicians and chase them out of power!

Stone Tinubu alive if he dares print his poster to contest for President in 2023, insist on young people being at helm of affairs of Nigeria and with time things will turn around.

When we talk of young leaders, we are not talking about criminal political youth thugs like Bello Governor of Kogi, I mean resourceful and visionary young people like myself making Nigeria proud abroad.

His friend went overseas for virtually the same role, he was doing in Nigeria and presently earns $7000/month for remote jobs.
I have been in thoughts... Hence i decided to ask..
the major thing is how much can he save or how much does he sees as profits after deducting all expenses incured for a month

Which opportunity?
Even #5Million in Nigeria now is not enough to do good business.
Test with #5million you can start Agric, but then....living within your means.
We are talking about Rich money.
Reason I am talking about corpses is that, have you seen the way the government caters for our people? Even burial grounds.....(Lets start from there) it will show you that nothing dey for the living self.....
Its such a shame, I have close to 5+ years experience as an Admin Manager, I saw a link someone game me for ordinary admin assistant job the pay is $56k per annum......compared to the mumu #80k net...... And the funniest thing is that the $56k excludes other pension benefit and $401k benefit I will be getting.
Tell me I get just and apartment for $1,500....I save $2k every month. For 1 year. I leave the job and come back to Naija....won't I be made. Tell me any company in Naija that will pay you $56k annum in Nigeria...is there any? None.
Bros this country is a shit shitter shortest show.

bluefilm:

But why are you so focused on death?

That shows that you have such a terrible negative mindset about life.

Bros don't give up.

Opportunity dey for naija o!

Problem is just that so many people don't want to start small.

And not only that.

So many people are not that skilled.

Take the guy being described in thread.

It was his skill that gave him to opportunity to start thinking of migrating.

Everybody is just complaining about the stress and difficulties being experienced in naija.

But how many people are willing to tackle those problems?

Since everybody is complaining that there is no steady electricity, what stops our engineers from giving us solar solutions?

I don't want to start sounding like another unrealistic motivational speaker but I believe you have an idea of what I am trying to say.

Think about this.

What if the Americans, the Europeans, the Japanese, the Chinese and the rest of these countries our people like to escape to for a better life didn't build their countries to become what they are today?

98% of Nigerians living in the US have never held a job paying $80,000 per annum or more, lol keep deceiving yourselves. Most Nigerians in the US are either driving uber, amazon or if they are females nursing aid or maybe a nurse. Vast majority are average, the only saving grace is the terrible exchange rate.

Wrong!!!

At 120k per annum, federal income tax bracket is 24% and your effective tax rate can be less than 20%.

Also, you do not need to live in a $1,500 per month apartment.

Dont say what you dont know.

I earn less but I'm in a higher bracket. Dont be using exclamation Marks anyhow as if you know for sure.

After the federal tax, what about provincial?

What about EI deductions and compulsory retirement plan deductions?

Dont misinform people.

This thing ehhn, it requires a lot of patience and planning.
Now my wife and I rake over $200k a year. After taxes at source, we are still left with around 135k to 140k
. After all bills, expenses, remittance to naija, and other payments, we are still saving $50k per year.

Interesting.... Well done.

A quick question I want to ask and know hearts of peeps.

I have a badass programmer pal. Full stack engineer. Recently did a job for someone, and made some real good cash. Like up to $120,000. The money came from building software for 3 microfinance banks in the country.
He earns over 450,000 Naira as salary here in Nigeria as well. We got talking yesterday and he's telling me he cannot stay in Nigeria, that he's resigning immediately after lock down for airports are over.

His argument is 450,000 Nigerian Naira equals
1,162.97 United States Dollar, wheras in the US / Canada for instance, the salary is way higher.

Question is what do you think ?

You absolutely do not have a clue of what you are talking about. Bank of America just increase employees wages to minimum of $20 per hour. Banking sector is the least paying cooperate sector in America except you are executives. The problem about NL advice is people who are yet to get into a plane will tell you how to live your life in UK and US.

The primary reason I want to leave this country. Nigerians — from the poverty-raged, ignorant citizens to the ignorant and corrupt law enforcement officers — are too primitive for the 21st century lifestyle.
