Most Of The Comments Reek Of Ignorance. Though The Living Conditions Are Better, Living Cost Is Not Nearly As Easy As You Guy It Out To Be. Are There No Americans Living In Less Than Average Conditions? If It Was That Easy. Most Americans Work Really Hard And Literally Live On Debt. You Earn On Hourly Basis, D High Earners Are Top Professionals. So Dont Delude Yourselves Into Believing Its All Rosy. Sha Na Who No Get Better Food Chop Dey Mostly Get Longer Throat. And The Reason For All The Imposed Restriction Is Cause Immigrants Are Taking Up More Jobs Making It Difficult For Ordinary Citizens. If U Have Money U Can Be Allowed To Go Visiting If They Knw U'r Not Going To Take Up Their Jobs Or Even Abscond 2 Likes 1 Share |

GloShare: Wrong!!! At 120k per annum, federal income tax bracket is 24% and your effective tax rate can be less than 20%. Also, you do not need to live in a $1,500 per month apartment. 2 Likes |

gimakon: I have read everything including all the comments, now this is my own observation; first of all many persons read the title and didn't read the body of your post. Well, that aside; back to the post. If you in 9ja and you got a job that earn you 450k naira monthly, and now you coincidentally got a side job that pays you $120k. What's stopping you from investing with the money and continuing working for the said 450k naira monthly. Perhaps before year ends, you will hit another Jackpot b4 year end,cuz the microfinance bank will surely tell their counterpart about your good work. Only go abroad for Vacation............ 2 Likes 1 Share |

Let your friend apply for the $7000 job first and get it now before leaving or is the plan to leave Nigeria to another country and hope a good job comes your way when he gets there? cause if hes good as he claims to be nothing stops him from applying for jobs overseas from Nigeria if they see talent they would poach you. |

US/Canada is a lot higher? When considering migrating to a different country, you better not just think about the salary. The cost of living and growth are other factors you may want to consider. Besides this moment what Nigeria needs are innovators, people that can start something up, especially in Tech. If your friend is quite good and he's got a creative independent mind, maybe he should consider starting something up. Nigeria is a market waiting to explode. I hope Nigerians can realize this and get to work before these foreigners take over everything, and leave us with very little to call our own. gimakon: 2 Likes 1 Share |

I understand my questions are quite personal but since it's a faceless forum, maybe you could breakdown things. I ask because the entire picture should be shown. Thanks. 3 Likes |

First tell your friend to leave the country The country is not safe for anybody Nothing is proper here. One reason why I am leaving this country now is because every young boy doing well now is tagged a yahoo boy. My friend who we trade forex together was arrest because the Nigerian police don’t even know what forex is. The more my friend was explaining the more the policemen kept calling him a yahoo boy. He had to pay them before they let him go. Can u imagine such rubbish. Oboy if u can leave this country, go to a place where racism isn’t too much. Even in Nigeria there is tribal/religious indifferences. Now here in Benin City, if u are a yahoo boy u are not safe, if you are doing legit hustle u are not safe. 3 Likes 1 Share |
