I am Precious, this is my third book on nairaland.I am a reliable writer who makes sure he completes every story he started.
My second book LOVE OR LUST is almost completed, but i need to start this thread while i make sure i complete the other book before next week runs out.
I am a prolific writer who love to pass a message through writing.
This book will going to be a promising one.
It is about two friends who grew up together, went to school together, lived together, worked in the same organisation and even married twin sisters.
The other turned around and did the most grievous thing one will never forgive you of.
I will start updating very soon

PROLOGUE
My name is Michael but my friends call me Mike and my close friend is Charles but i prefer calling him Charley.
I dont know what brought us together, perhaps it was fate but i dont really care to know because he was the best friend you could ever get.He was a year older than i was but that does not matter since we were in the same class and we were best of friends.
Charles was stronger than i was,he beats most of our classmates but he had never beaten more but i knew he will beat me to a pulp if we ever fought. He was more good looking but i was his mouth piece,he was a reserved type.He was also good in basketball, girls loved his physique but i dont really care because i had my accolades in football, this earned me my popularity at school then but mind you Charles was more popular.
We ate together, wears the same cloth because our parents could afford them, people mistook us to be fraternal twin and when we were asked"are you guys twin",we simply say yes.It was fun doing that.
I must say that I love Him

I and Charley do sleep over at each others' house without any of our parents raising an eye brow.
You wont believe that we bathed together most times, this was how close we are.
We always misunderstand each other but that doesnt last long as we will come back again.
If you want to know Charles secret, just ask me and if you want to know mine, with no fears ask Charley.
My parents were a lot richer than his though his parents were not poor, lets say they are middle class.
My dad owned a spare part manufacturing industries both in Nigeria and diaspora so he was not alwys around but my mum filled in the vacuum.
Charles on the other hand his father is also a motor spare part dealer but operated his independent retail outlet.
We attended HoneyLand College, one of the most sophisticated school in Lagos.
As an only son amidst three girls,my dad bought me a car and got me a driver. It was a range rover sport 2019 model so I and Charley enjoyed its coziness through and fro from school.
Teacher and friends calls us THE M.C

CHAPTER ONE
I had just finished my breakfast of squashed eggs and bread with tea.i love it this way.I kissed mum to tell her goodbye as i grabbed my bag to go to school.Dad was not around,he was on one of his numerous trips to germany to attend a meeting with the volkswagen car group.
My three elders sisters respectively:Chloe,Mmesoma and Julian had gone to school.Chloe was in University,Mmesoma was in SS3 while Juliana was in SS2.I am in Jss 3 class.
I came out of the house and moved towards my car where the driver was honking impatiently.I dont know what is wrong with this old man,i muttered as i took my place beside Charles at the back.
I hugged him as the driver reversed the car out of the compound and piloted it towards my school direction.
I and Charles really had a good time as the car sped along the tarred Ibeju-Lekki road, the air conditionner was on as we kept chatting like chatterbox.
The Rita Ora"love makes it higher"music blared underground from the booming speaker.
We kept munching our biscuit

We kept munching our biscuits as the driver remained focused on the way.We could hear him cursed and swear whenever he encounters a traffic jam.But is he rushing some where,i kept asking myself.Charles never cared about the driver,he only kept his eyes on his books which was now on his laps.
"Charley,so you did not read yesternight"I asked, but i knew we didnt. We were up late playing with the video games in my room.We slept around four this morning but that useless alarm woke us around five-thirty.
"Shattap!did you"Charles replied and turned back to his book"i dont have strength for Mister Dekunle troubles"he added.I simply smiled.I was a oerson who never believed in reading but yet i top the whole class during examinations.Charles was always on my neck with the second position, infact there was a time he came out first,i almost tore my skin out in anger.Since then i made sure i gave him his permanent place behind me.
"That man is just not good at maths"I replied as our car drove into the school compound.

Re: So You Betrayed Me-a Christian Fiction by Nobody: 2:22pm On Jul 11, 2020
We alighted from the car and watched thex driver sped off.We slung our backpack behind us and strolled to our class room.We waved at Chisom and her little crew chatting at the third floor balcony and she waved back.
Chisom was our school mate who had once written a love letter to Charles.Charles did not like the plump girl so he pleaded that i should help him tell Chisom to be at bay with him.I did exactly what i thought i should do,it was at the dining hall so a lot of onlookers fed their eyes on us as i bashed her.Though i wished i did not because Chisom cried and stayed off school for two days but since Charles applauded me,i had nothing to worry about.
No girl had ever had a crush on me or perhaps they have but never approached me so that they wont face the humiliation i put Chisom through. That was in our first year in secondary school anyway when we all felt we were grown ups and should engage in amorous affairs.
My dad and mum were pastors respectively but my mum was higher in hierarchy than my father.

I must say the truth,my parents are very humble.Though they were wealthy but never showed off or flaunts it like most wealthy people does.
My parents always lend helping hands to the less privileged in our community and beyond. With their billions, they were humble to God.
They were very spiritual amd were at their apex when it came to giving godly counsel.
Back to present, when i entered secondary school,my parents sat me down and counselled me about joining bad gangs,or exhibiting ungodly attitude.
My parents frowned at any of my inconsistencies, and will not constitute truancy so i made sure i was well behaved at least to save their golden names.
I could still remember their advice"girls will deviate you.Your penis will lead you to the had i known state if you fail to control it".Perhaps they had noticed the way girls threw themselves one in church but none of the girls in school ever did that.I do snub people but i am not arrogant.
As soon as we dropped our backpack,we went to the hall to join the assemby.

During recess time,I looked for Charles but he was not in sight.I settled down to eat my rice and plantain.
After eating,i opened my backpack and brought out my ice cream when Charles flounced in,his eyes was glittering like he had won a lottery.
"Mike, here you are when you should be outside watching the season film that is going on in the toilet"he said and settled his eyes on my ice cream.I pretended not to notice since he have his own in his bag.
"What is happening"I asked unbothered as i licked my ice cream.
"Chisom and Harry was caught pant down in the toilet, they were doing nonsense"he dropped the bombshell.I shifted in shock .
"Really?that girl is a LovePeddler"I replied still unmoved.I was not a person who love watching or hearing about other people, besides Harry was Charles sworn enemy so he should be elated.
"They are on their way to the principal office. You need to see the way Mister Chima dragged them along in their bare naked state"
"Thats not too good"i replied equivocally.
"It is"Charles curted in.

"You should stop being evil"I opposed as i shook my head.
Charles laughed"Harry is my obstacles since i came to this school greenland springs. As the class rep he think he have the whole world in his palm.I am sure they will expel him for this"Charles blurted out maliciously.
"Oh stop!Charley, you should be symphatising with them. The bible say we should not mock our enemies but pray for them instead. It is the devil's fault"I advocated.
"You and your Jesus talk.Just spare me the crap.I should be celebraring with a bottle of champagne"Charles laughed and opened his backpack to bring out his foodflask.
I shrugged and continued feasting on my ice cream.
Soon recess was over,so the class became full and noisy. The class was segregated into little caucus with each group talking about the incidence.
It was reading period,i brought out my novel"Purple Hibiscus"by Chimamanda Adichie.
I winked at My seat partner Seth,an american. He understood the message and turned to read my novel with me.I saw Charles reading a book too

CHAPTER TWO
The next day was saturday and i had to attend the discipleship class. The discipleship class was for young teens like me and i hate missing the lectures.
I had that zeal to work for God and i feel ignited whenever i was asked to do something in the church.
I was the head of the evangelism team and also the Basic Teen Leader.I could not grasp the fact that i was being favored because my dad was the pasto in charge of the parish but i must confess that i really appreciate every opportunity i was given.
This morning i managed to drink only coffee and skip breakfast till i come back,i dont want to be late.
My mum urged me to atleast take little slice of bread but i refused defiantly.
"If i come back,i will eat"I told her bluntly.
My sisters Mmesoma and Juliana were already waiting for me in the car,i joined them and the driver sped off to our church at Awuyaya,Ibeju-Lekki.
We arrived church a little bit earlier but some of the teens were there before we joined them.We went to our respective classes.

My teacher Mr.Adekoya who was the children unit pastor was a good teacher. He taught about `Distraction and Sexual Perversion'.I made sure i listened with keen interest.
"Do you know that if you look at lady and think of having sex with her equally makes you a fornicator"Mr.Adekoya said looking at our faces and smiling,it sounded like a question that request for no reply.
We all marveled."how is that possible"I asked myself but i never knew i said it louder. The whole class turned to me,i flushed.
Mr Adekoya smiled
"Good question. When you think of such thing, dont you have erection or a feeling to satisfy that urge"he asked.
"We do"we all chorused.
"To your level, thats how far i can go.Lets read Matthew 5:28.It says;Whosoever look at a woman to lust after her had committed adultery in his heart. You can see"Mr Adekoya said.
I nodded my head in agreement as i remembered what happened yesterday at school.
The truth is;I always lust after girls and often times dreamt of having sex with the person.I felt guilty.

"You might be saying i have not fornicated while you are a great fornicator. The way God will judge those who committed the act is the same way he will judge those who did it in their heart"Mr Adekoya said. This broke my heart completely and i held myself against shedding tears.
So the way God will judge Chisom and Harry is the way he will judge me.
"For the fact that your body reacts to your thinking and the evidences of aroused genitals simply make you one of those. In some cases, some people resort to masturbating when such urges is beyond their control and they releases during such process"Mr Adekola vented on.
I was totally naked, the day i told my counsellor at school that i had wet dream. He exclaimed in suprise,he said i was young for such,i was thirteen years.
So whenever i had sex in the dream or my thought,my undies will go wet and sticky. Now i know better.
I was sober and decided to visit Mr Adekola for counselling. My mind was pricked and my sins stood before me.
During close hour,i rushed to see him.

On Monday i returned to school satisfied that i had overcome my weaknesses.
The day activities was at usual, but during the extra curriculum activities,i went for my Debate Club while Charles went to the Jet club.
In my club,we were debating on the topic;Civilian Government should be abolished
I was the chief spokeman of my opposing team while Temi, the assistant class rep of my class headed the proposing side.
This was the day i anticipated for,i had spent time rehearsing my points and made sure i presented them perfectly in front of the panel of judges.
Temi was a good debater too but i vowed never to allow her win me again because the last time she did,it appeared at the front page of the school magazine.
Temi rattled out her points like a pro,but i made sure i countered her vulnerable points with the best of my ability.
The judges were fair as they rescinded some of her wavering points and declared i was the winner.
Temi was in tears, maybe she thought i will repay her but i made sure i did not.

Re: So You Betrayed Me-a Christian Fiction by Nobody: 1:46pm On Jul 13, 2020
During closing hour,i went around to look for Charles,i saw him constructing woodwork in the jet club hall alone. This was the reason i love him,he was a serious type who could die on a project until he gets it right.I went up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up.
"I have been looking for you,so here you are"I said and beside him.
"Yes,i need to finish this project.I will be presenting it tomorrow to mister Rotimi"He said with his head and attention still buried in the woodwork.
Mister Rotimi was our Basic-tech teacher and the head of Jet Club.
"My driver is here to pick me up"i said.
"Oh,give me some time"He replied and did some finishing touches to the woodwork and inserted it into his back.He heaved in relief and we went out of the large hall.
We went straight to the school park,my driver was visibly fuming.
"i have been here up to an hour, where did you went to"he seethed.we simply ignored him and hopped into the car as he zoomed off leaving clouds of dust behind. This happens when he is angry

CHAPTER THREE
I overheard mum and dad arguing in their room while i was passing,so i decided to eavesdrop on them.
"Chima is very wicked,he refused to pay me money for the goods i supplied to him two years ago.I bet he must pay me"It was my dad.
Wait oh!the only Chima i know was Chares' father. As a retailer,he usually ask for goods from my father company and my dad could supply it on credit without asking for money until Charles dad had the money to pay.
I still stood to listen more.
"Clement listen to me"it was my mum"Chima is your friend,he will pay when he have the money, this should not disrupt the union between our families and theirs"she added.
"For two years now.I went to his shop yesterday and he have the boldness to look into my face and say;is it because of twenty million you are harrassing me.Can you imagine"My father ranted on.
Twenty what!i was shocked at such amount.
"Clement, you are more than twenty million, let the sleeping dog lie"
"My hard earned money wont go down the drain"dad screamed.

Dad was a hard nut to crack and was unecessarily stiffnecked. There was a time he wanted to attend a meeting which was organised and presided over by those he tagged as his arch-enemy,mum had tried to stop him from attending but he refused because he said he needed to tell his enemies that he was still thriving in the business they tried to pull down.
We later got a call that he was gunned down by assassins while he was returning from the meeting. He survived it anyway.
"This could lead to another fierce battle"Mum hollered back at him.
"I dont care,i am up to it.Right now,i am going to order his arrest"
I shuddered;but dad should take things lightly because this action alone can severe the relationship between charles and I.
"Chima must pay me my money or i will suck it out myself"Dad simmered.
I heard the door creaked so i quickly ran downstairs before came out of his room, mum was behind him with a sullen face.
My mother had a gift of seeing visions and anything she said must happen.
I became worried.
