Well, he reacted To the best of his knowledge. It's a nocturnal bird, inactive in Daytime. It's like trying to chase a lizard at night from the house, won't move cos it's active only in Daytime. If that happened in some community that protects that particular species, he'd have been in some trouble now.

I'd chase it away than kill the owl. Owls make annoying sounds at night and most midnights they march on your roof as giants. You hardly sleep at night if an owl has its nest around your house. The one that used my roof as its nest flew away forever at daytime after serious fighting, pouring of hot water and multiple landing of stick on its head from an angle that I can easily fall off from the building. Owl na strong bird
