You should also realize that most of them from Nigeria were government projects, as compared to mostly private property seen from other countries. That's far worse. An individual can die and his projects go abandoned, but what excuse is there for a massive government project to reach near completion and then be abandoned? Isn't that proof that it wasn't necessary in the first place?

Let's talk about a place called Kolmanskop located in Namibia. It was a small settlement in that saw a boom in the early 1900s when German settlers realized that the area was extremely rich in diamonds.

Kolmanskop collapsed after the WW2 when the diamond field began to deplete. By the 1950s, the town was completely deserted and is now the haunted houses are visited by photographers and tourists.
