Well the deal is not official. Osimhen's new agent is free to hold other talks. But I think it is just a strategy to get what they want from Napoli. Will Napoli eventually bulge or will they start to look in the direction of their plan B?

My thoughts also. Vic already agreed contract with Napoli.

New agent want big money. Napoli say no. New agent intimidate Napoli with English money. Napoli oblige. BOOM!

Why Osimhen change agent in middle of negotiation? Italian journalist already questioning his attitude and temperament.

Plan B is Ciro Immobile.

Yes, there are 3 names penciled as plan B. Immobile is one of them.

Kane can play advanced forward. Too much load on man shoulder.

Also, Mourinho very tactical. Used different formation for all game since restart. Fit Kane Osimhen one team.

Tottenham only team EPL to borrow money from Bank Of England. Club no money. No afford Osimhen. Rumour.

Lille would have sold long in a heartbeat. Lille is not the issue.
BascoVanVeli:

I think everything has to do with lille. They are playing the market to make the most amount of money. Osimhen actually went to Napoli so I'm almost sure he wants to go there. He won't meet those people if he later planned to turn them down, that's just not in his character.

Why do you think so, are they allergic to money? Of course they want to make as much as possible, new bidders are coming to the table.

Braithwaite is such a poor example for anything.

The only time people remember Braithwaite is when they want to talk about his resemblance to Chris Brown.

Uzoho - APOEL (Cyprus Protathlima)

Okoye - Sparta Rotterdam (Dutch Eredivisie)

Alampasu - Ventspils (Latvian Virsliga)

My wish is all are starters and the rest will follow. Uzoho is expected to start. Alampasu is growing into a starter for his team. Hopefully Okoye fights his way to the #1 role at Sparta. Mad competition for the Super Eagles Gloves will resume where it left off. grin

In addition to these guys and Mathew yakubu, we also have a goalkeeper in Israel 2nd tier by name Adebayo Adeleye (former national u20 player). He made 33 league appearance this past season.

Also LASK's Tobias okiki lawal who has already shown interest in playing for Nigeria. He had been promoted to their senior team, he featured 19 times for LASK feeder team, junior oo(injuries and involvement with LASK in cup competitions limits his appearance). With these guys I thing we are good to go. In few years time we can even have up to 5 goalkeepers in top leagues. Only time will tell.

Lol. I get you. You are right. That's the only age grade title missing from our cabinet. With Samson Tijani (Salzburg), Amoo (Hammarby), Ishaq Abdulrazak (Norrkoping), and a couple more, I think we will have a solid base to build a strong U-20 side that can try make this dream come true.
First, we need to confirm our U-20 coach.

These ones can be added but I think the core of the team should be true teenagers that have experienced top flight football either with our local league or foreign league

Earlier today, we covered claims from Calciomercato.it that Liverpool have joined Napoli in the race for Lille’s Victor Osimhen.

Then we noticed that Gazzetta dello Sport also pushed the idea the Reds could be one of the clubs in the background for the big name striker, and it was made very clear the Serie A side would find it ‘impossible’ to battle it out with the Merseyside club if they actively made a move.

We then have Radio Marte, who bring their latest update on this case (as relayed by Area Napoli).

They said the Naples club had everything agreed for Osimhen’s transfer and had also scheduled a medical for the Nigeria international. However, things changed after the Ligue 1 star decided to swap agents and is now represented by William D’Avila.

The African’s new representative has since ‘promised him the moon’ to undermine the work done by his former agent.
Liverpool then contacted Lille about the ‘possible signing’ of their player ‘in the last hour’, and Napoli are aware of the contacts that took place between the two sides. Manchester United and Tottenham are also said to be in the background.

CalcioNapoli24 then add their bit on this and claim Osimhen’s agent has hinted at surveys from Liverpool, which is why D’Avila has since ‘frozen’ talks about his client with Napoli.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side are waiting to see how things develop because they are aware the Premier League clubs can offer better wages and a hefty commission than Napoli.
The website adds Napoli have already made a salary offer of €3.5-4m net and are unwilling to make another improved proposal.

If you ask us, this seems to be a ploy from Osimhen’s agent to drag Liverpool in the middle in order to get a better deal for both himself and his client from Napoli.

Lille’s involvement in this cannot be ruled out either as they could involve other clubs to pressurise Napoli into speeding things up, because they want this done sooner rather than later, while their Italian counterparts are in no rush.

It just seems very weird and somewhat convenient for Premier League clubs to suddenly be this involved this late, and it wouldn’t be the first time big names such as Liverpool were used to try and speed up transfers or get more wages.

NFF Lines up International Friendly Matches for Super Eagles, Super Falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has lined up international friendly matches for the former African champions, Super Eagles, and their female counterparts, Super Falcons,

Amaju Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, disclosed this on Thursday.

Pinnick assured that the NFF would prioritise for now, getting top grade friendly matches for the Super Eagles and the Super Falcons as well as the qualification of the U17 and U20 women national teams for their various FIFA World Cup competitions.

He said: “CAF has written to inform us that the qualifiers for the U17 and U20 FIFA Women World Cups will hold in September and October.

“We are determined to prepare our girls well to qualify for both championships.

“At the same time, we are working assiduously to see that the Super Eagles and Super Falcons get quality opponents for friendly matches within the next few months.

“For the Super Eagles, we have an African team and a South American team on the cards.

“First and foremost, we have to get the Super Falcons a Head Coach of the highest quality possible.

“We are working on that as our consultants are already on it, and also working on the appointment of coaches for some other National Teams.

“On our part, we have ring fenced a sum of money to pay the Head Coach of the Super Falcons for a number of years to come.

“So that challenge is taken care of.”

On the issue of continuous trailing of players of dual nationality with a view to getting them to represent Nigeria, Pinnick stated clearly that only players with the keen interest and resolve would be encouraged, as Nigeria would not beg any player to represent her.

He said: “It is about ardour and fervour.

“If a player has decided for Nigeria and only want to be assured that he would be much welcome, we will come in and provide that assurance”

Well it all depends on the new coaching crew of the U20. In a sane world, the previous u17 players (tijani, Amoo etc) should form the base of the team. But based on Naija factor, slots will be sold to those soo called 19 and 20 year olds playing in NPFL and those that can afford it in NNL. And also those players of 18-20 age range playing in low level European leagues that their agents want to re-showcase to the world

Chris pls don't start. Pls. Rashidi Ford naim i go use as case study.

How many games martial use for his drought to end? Rashidi too!!

Nonleague games shows he still got it. No need to go down this road pls. Best strikers miss lots of chances but that gets overlooked cos they score.

See arrogance grin from Hon. Lucky Sunday Nkeki

“With all sense of modesty and no disrespect to other states in Nigeria, Delta State will continue to rule sports in the country. Be it in football, athletics, you name it for the next 30 to 50 years.
” I say this because “the policies, strategies and the facilities are all there to ensure the state continues to remain dominant in sports in the country.
” Again, it may also interest you to know that “Delta state has the highest number of sporting facilities in the country. We have close to 14 stadia in Oleh, Warri, Ughelli, Ogwashi Uku, Agbor, Asaba, Sapele, Ukwuani, Iselle Uku etc and these facilities are being used by our athletes.

” Then if you look at our records at previous competitions he continued, you will realise that it speaks volume. “We have won the last four editions of the National Sports Festival in Nigeria and if not for the Corona Virus pandemic we would have still won the Edo 2020 edition that was put on hold due to the restriction on sporting activities.

“The Youth Sports Festival that usually holds in Ilorin is our birthright. We have also won it four times and still counting.

“It’s our birthright in the sense that we have a programme, the Schools Sports Festival where we churn out all these talents.

“The programme is for secondary and primary schools in Delta. Luckily we have just finished the last edition before the lockdown started where a lot of talents were discovered”.

“For now, most of these talents are under scholarships from the state government at different levels, tertiary, secondary or primary schools”, he concluded.

I might not be aware of what's happening underground but if Osimhen pulls a Pepe on Napoli

I will be so disappointed

Don't get the craze about playing in the premier league at his age.. I believe he still has time

Going to Spurs under mourinho might be suicide

Mou is rigid in his tactics, plays defensive football, will surely stick to Kane(except he is leaving)

Man united will never bench A. martial(not at this form, plus greenwood is there, Ighalo is also there, Rashford can play there as well)

Liverpool is dicey, except Kloop is willing to tweak his formation, he is not starting ahead of Bobby

Chelsea has Werner and Abraham

Arsenal can't spend big

His best bet is Napoli

Play well for two or three seasons and you in Juventus or a big premier/Spanish club

OSIMHEN, IF YOU CAN SEE THIS, PLEASE SIGN FOR NAPOLI, DEM DON TRY FOR YOU
