Not going to church is a bad thing for any Christian. Let's forget the tithing issue. Going to church and constantly hearing the good news improves an strengthens the believer's faith. However I see this phase as a preparation for most believers of what to come when the man of perdition arrives on the Earth, before the Lord Jesus comes to take away the saints from God's judgment on this evil mundane world
Take them to where? Iran or North Korea?

Disgracing yourself in the public because of greed. If the curses in the old covenant can cross over to the new covenant then the cross of Jesus is useless.

I don't pay tithe.... since I became Born again in 2017, i have never had to pay tithe. And God takes care of me the way defined in Matthew 6 when you seek first the Kingdom of God.

The Spirit of God is strict on the demarcation between Old wine and New wine.

As Area4Area noted, each Covenant - Old and New - are all or nothing. You can't pick and choose what you want to obey and you can't have one foot in one and another foot in the other

Explain Mathew 23:23

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

Jesus Christ NEVER told you to go to church. He never asked His followers to build anything for Him or the Father. So where do you get the claim that not going to church is bad for Christians?

Imagine this scenario. A sinner is touched by God, and goes to the church, the only place known for the gathering of Christians, and finds nobody there. No one to counsel him on his newfound faith. Is it good?

See, tithing thing is more of spiritual than physical. Pay if you are believe in it. Tithe is scriptural. How much is 10% tithe that we argue, criticize and blame others who are paying and those paying blame those who not paying.

First of all, you have to know this is under Judaism. The word Christian has not emerged. Paying of tithe here is under mosaic law, to the levites( who has no inheritance), they are not suppose to work, they are set aside for God. They pay these tithes based on what Moses said, also remember they will still have a feast in which the levites eat from the tithe and give to the needy among them.( Deu 26 : 12)

Therefore Jesus is saying here that paying of tithe is good base on the Mosaic law(which benefits to both needy/ levites). However, since the death and resurrection of Jesus, These laws don't really apply to Christiandom, that's why we have pastors instead of levites. Jesus even know, that's the reason he made a parable/ narration on how people don't give to the needy, didn't visit them in prison etc and even cursed people that didn't show care.

I have not seen in the bible where Jesus cursed people that didn't pay tithe. we have more better things to worry about, like how to enter God's kingdom, not tithe. Tithe will never never give you access to God's kingdom.

You can also study Abraham tithing, it was done once to Melchizedek, it wasn't an every month or day thing. Also study how the apostles and early church started. They gave willingly to the gospel not by percentage calculation. The apostles never cursed or threatened those that didn't give, God loves a cheerful giver and that's where the blessing lies.

Actually, I was that sinner who was touched by God, not too long ago. And yes, I thought maybe I needed to head to your churches to learn about Him.
I found out after spending over a year there that those in your churches are clueless as far as God, and the things of God, is concerned. Basically, it was like a clash of ideas for me... God was telling me one thing, your church people were telling me another.
It wasn't until I made the decision to trust God over man that He, God, began to carefully reveal to me the truth of Himself and how He was never a part of man's church-world from the beginning and never will be, because what you have as your church-world today was never what God commanded of you or any of His followers.

Your right here, the bible says that we should not neglect gathering of saints/ brethren. Church is essential to build ones faith, but the way churches go about money is nothing to write home about.

That is a curse Jesus Christ laid upon those who will preach and focus on the mundane because it benefits them more to do so, neglecting the weightier commandments of God.

If you read that verse carefully, you will also learn that the Old Covenant tithes were paid in produce, in this case mint, dill, and cumin are spices and considered more valuable/worth a lot more than other items to the Pharisees than teaching and preaching Justice, mercy, and faithfulness which God demanded from there above all other things.

This is emotional blackmail., It doesn't work that way people are waking up.
Western Europe did not develope with this mentality, China who borrows money to the whole world does not go to church, the richest Arabs don't pay tithe, they are even moslems, Dangote does not pay tithe, the world's richest men do not pay tithe, most are even atheist, all these people are not under financial curse.

Reality is you are under financial curse if you don't have any occupation or Productive cool

Bro., the thing is, you're very scarce among Nigerians and Africans. cool

Paul made a suggestion. But ask yourself, what did the Christians gather together for in the beginning?
For praise and worship? undecided
For Bible study? undecided
For Prayer Time? undecided
If you answer yes to any of the last 3 questions, then you have been fed so many lies that you know no truth of your own.

My problem with all these is laying too much emphasis on tithing than the real acts of Righteousness... I think God of mammon has crept into many churches. Many Pastors would rather ask you to pay your tithe than fleeing fornication and adultery undecided angry
