SegunWamiri:
Has the concerned stakeholders reached a conclusion on waiving of the 14 days quarantine rule/replacing with paid COVID testing at the Port of entry?

Goodday, I've been trying to send you a mail but I guess I don't how. I plan to apply to Sheffield Hallam for January, I figured I'll be able to use your help has you've gotten through the admission stage.

You can send me a mail here: akinyemijude15@gmail.com.

Gtb has a monthly limit of $500.
IHS fee + Visa fee is above that in equivalent.
That’s why it’s not working.

Accessbank, Fidelity and few others have $1000 monthly limit, so their cards will work (but at high exchange rate)
Sanitizer:
Has anyone been able to pay for IHS and visa fee? I have been trying to pay using my GTB Master card to no avail.

Can I tell someone to pay this for me or payment has to be in my name?

This means that the 14days quarantine rule still applies as Nigeria isn't on the exemption list.

@asatin007:
I have realized that the university owned accommodation is too expensive and would prefer to live outside. What type of accommodation would be ideal to secure so that I’m able to defend the “where would you be staying” interview question. For now though, I have booked a hotel around the campus for 2 nights but I know that doesn’t answer the question.

The information contained in the above link therfore is a pointer that you'd need to book at room for at least 14 days/nights

Maybe, maybe not. Even if the school has an arrangement, my utmost prayer is that we don't have to isolate at any point so that one can make adequate and appropriate long accommodation arrangement ASAP especially for those of us who do not want to stay at the school's residence. angry

Currently, T4 students are awarded a total of 40 points. A valid CAS accounts for 30 of the current 40 points with financial documents accounting for 10 points.

Under the new PBS which takes effect from Jan 1, 2021, the total number of points will be 70; a valid CAS will give you 50 of 70 points with financial requirements at 10 points and English language requorements at 10 points.

So does this mean everyone will have to do an IELTS test ?
and would this affect applicants for January who do their interview in 2020?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 6:48pm On Jul 18, 2020
No, except your school requests for it.

No. You'll only need to do IELTS if your school requests for it.

Dear Gurus in the house,

Please,help out on this issue.

I made a tuition deposit of 4k pounds, but on the confirmation offer I received from the school is stating I paid 3975 pounds, a shortfall of 25pounds.

I dont know what could have led to the shortfall.

I initiated the form A in first bank and I have my telex copy/receipt for 4k pounds, I complained there, they are surprise too.

Whoelse has experience this, and how did you resolve it.
I had this similar issue with yours. Please anyone using First bank Form A, tell whoever is attending to you at the bank not to deduct the service charge from the amount you are depositing or you would be 25 pounds short. I had to pay the remaining 25 pounds to the school with my master card and recieved a second confirmation letter.

I think I will have to use two Banks. I will use Fidelity and stanbic bank to do the both transaction as the Visa fees and health surcharge will be paid differently.

Please how did you pay and what are the requirements? Must you have a savings or current account? Can someone help you pay without being present?

I want to guide a freind who is studying in the UK to pay using Form A rather than paying pounds directly to save money.
You can pay using a savings account with the Naira equivalent, it doesn't have to be current. They'll need a copy of your intl passport, addmission letter where the fees are stated and your bsc certificate copy. You'll be given form A and one other form to enter the school payment details and amount in pounds. The process is seamless mostly.

Hello House, Will be resuming at Coventry University in September. School is resuming on the 7th of Sept but I plan to resume ending Sept. Is there anything like late resumption? Though I plan to ask the school on Monday.... Your inputs are highly appreciated....
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 10:18pm On Jul 18, 2020
You don’t have to resume on the 7th.
The university usually has a last date for enrolment.
Eg: Northumbria is 30 days from resumption date.
Sometimes it can even stretch but on approval (eg visa delay or something). The university can give you a longer time to enrol.

So yes, ask Coventry when is their last date of enrolment for September intake smiley.

Hello all pls what is the total amount for ihs and visa fees in naira and how do I pay. Please help
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics:
IHS is £300 for each year of your course + £150 for the extra 4-6 months. If your course is for 1 year, total IHS will be £450 + visa fee of £348 = £798. This will be charged in $ and how much you pay in naira will be dependent on your bank's rate on the day you pay.

You will need to pay online using a bank card (Naira mastercard, visa card or £€$ cards) after you submit your online application. You'll pay IHS first, then pay your visa fees before you can book an appointment. You might have to use different cards for both payments if your bank(s) has capped your Forex transaction limit; if you have a $£€ card that has funds that can be used for online transactions, you don't have to worry about transaction limits.

PS: For Tier 4 applications made from October 2020, IHS will be £470 for each year.
