Mine got credited 3 hours later. Couldn't get it paid with Visa. Tried multiple cards and all declined so took a risk and did bank transfer

Good rate but not all bank cards will be allowed. Money received so definitely I can use again

I actually made the payment from my transferwise card,so probably that made it a bit faster. Immediately ID was confirmed, the transaction was done. Anyone looking to make transfers using any of these new guys should search for them on the Financial Conduct Authority, at least to ensure they are registered for such transfers in the UK, else your money might end up in one of Hushpuppi apprentice's account.

I was caught up in that December 2017 flight mess with Medview but they did refund my money. I recall there was a special No to call then to chase up.

Leave those money alone ooo. A colleague collected it and when she applied for visa renewal, she was asked for proof that she refunded the money. Leave advisers oooo and face your hustle biko

For e.g. i'm Nigerian.... can my wife who is british apply for child benefits for our child? i'm the one who has no access to child support... and not her..

I was in your situation few years ago when i got here. Mortgage was my goal but i needed to build my credit score to achieve that. I registered with ClearScore and they gave me tips on how to grow my score, my first credit building card was pre-approved on ClearScore. With a credit limit of £200 i started my journey.
Tips:
* register on a free credit score app
* apply only for pre-approved credit cards
* if you use your card wisely, you could end up not paying interest (that worked for me)
* avoid close-spaced hard searches.
You already said you are registered on electoral roll so that’s great. It might take up to four months before it reflects on your score though. All the best

I chased them with email, calls but they keep passing me like ball. Even Civil Aviation Authority & my MP wrote to them, but no response. Na them teach me lesson to go get Credit Card.

If you use a digital bank like Monzo, it will give you the option to accept or decline transaction. Traditional banks will always decline such transactions. Them never step their game up

People still don't understand that's one of the benefits of these new banks. You get to see and approve the transactions real time.
If HSBC or Halifax block your account peren, to unblock you go hear am.

Try making a hefty transfer from a traditional account to Monzo or the likes....... Your bank would peg transfer in the cloud............

Na lie. I do more transactions on my Starling than all my other bank accounts. My business account is even with Starling.

The checks they do to set you up is more sensible than traditional banks ; they do close fraudulent accounts too.
