Everybody in this thread should know that 80% of young Nigerians in Vietnam are into yahoo yahoo. Their internet subscription is cheap and fast.

Don't allow yourself to be scammed by anybody. This is same reason WhyNa always ask people to do their own research.

Some scammers go as far as creating a phishing sites that look exactly like original websites of institutions just to defraud.

Ensure you check the alphabets of any website you visit and confirm its authenticity before you read its contents.

These scammers intercept emails conversations too. Ensure you go beyond email to authenticate any transaction before you part with your money.

MY JOURNEY SO FAR

Hello, how has the research and every every been? I have a little update for us specifically on my own moves.

I wish to In a special way appreciate @WhyNa for creating this thread and sharing her journey oth us.

Just as she said earlier, there are many ways to enter Vietnam and we know many people will discover many routes. The fact that you are reading this could be a sign that you want to travel therefore I encourage everybody to share their experiences or successes so far.

I want to share on the study route, for those who want to enter Vietnam through study route. I have made some little progress on this regard.

My own research started with finding good but cheap countries I could study In and work and stay back after my study to work. The first place I found was North Cyprus, it was actually cheap but my findings showed that WORK NO DEY THERE OH, NA SUFFER THINGS. I was wise enough to move on. I came across India again and ran away fast because I have researched them some few year back, it's very cheap but no work even for their people talk less of Nigerians and they don't like us.

Finally, I came to Vietnam. My findings was cool, I some some schools and applied while waiting for them, my research brought me to this thread. I focused my energy on trying to enter Vietnam through the work permit route of which @WhyNa's posts and updates have been of great blessing. In May, one of the schools got back to me and that was FPT university in Hanoi its a university that deals more on IT and business courses. I asked them about the visa and everything. They will prepare the visa for you while you get the Visa Stamp at the Vietnamese embassy Abuja.

I asked how much is The visa stamp they said they don't really know that I should contact the embassy. When I contacted the embassy, they said it varies depending on the type of student visa but that it's between 200 to 300 dollar.

Now, this process is very easy and you don't need to ask much questions and you don't need an agent.

1. Research top universities in Vietnam.
2. Get their admission office WhatsApp number. This guys are very helpful through their whatsapp, ask any questions. I always tell the person handling the FPT university admission WhatsApp number that am sorry for my to many questions and he/she will always tell me dont worry just ask.
3. Ask about their support systems. FPT university for example, helps with airport pick up, helps to get accomodation, help you get a part time job at most in 3 months after you arrive Vietnam.
4. Apply and ask if their are scholarship oppourtinties available. Due to this corona virus pandemic effect on the economy, Vietnam education industry dey find student and they are likely to give out discounts just as is happening in North cyprus now. So, if you don't ask they might not tell you.
5. Arrange soft copies of your documents and send to their mail then await their admission/Scholarship report. Note: No school will give you full scholarship, you can only get discounts and trust me their tuition fees are relatively cheap.
6. Make payment and they will start working on your visa which should take not more than a month.

Concerning coming to Vietnam, my school said they are working with their immigration department to make sure they allow international students and professors to enter the country when they open the borders hopefully by July ending so please confirm from your school before making payment. Me I never pay tuition few, I still dey hustle he money but once am ready to pay, I will reconfirm from the school because I need to be sure if I pay Now, I should come over before September.

Also, I don't know of other university but for my school, you get 1 year temporal residence to enable you get a job after your graduation. This to me is cool.

Finally, this process is very easy, you don't need to ask many questions or send me a mail or look for agent as long as study route is concerned, just get the school and the course of your choice, send them mail or chat their WhatsApp number and they will take it up from their.
Their Bsc it 3 years or 4 years those that are 3 years do 3 semesters per year while those that are 4 years do 2 semesters per year.
Masters is 2 years.
Most of the schools are also affiliated to universities in UK, US, Australia

I wish all luck, if any other person is making progress through another route please share too for those who might be interested.

Udo diri anyi.

Am seriously in great pains now embarassed embarassed embarassed

I applied to a uni in vietnam for scholarship that closed June.

I drafted and composed sop for my brother and I for this scholarship, I applied for Bachelors degree program for my brother and i, even though I am a graduate.

Luckily after a week they dropped a mail to our different gmail accounts about being qualified for a half tuition scholarship with accommodation but will need to have an interview with us a date was given to me I declined going further for the Skype interview.

I told my bro to pick a date for his interview advised him on his preparation then he did the interview they just dropped a mail this morning about giving him update about the result of the scholarship or interview this week hopefully this week, after I stumbled on this thread I had to rush back to the school to book me for the interview till today bro no replies but laslas looks like I will focus on the work visa for migration since am a graduate.

Guy you are funny. The Daniel guy has spent 7 year in Germany before creating that tread, @WhyNa is barely 6 months in Vietnam she can not post beyond her experience unless you want her to dish out informations she is not certain about.

She has given us update so far unless you want her to come everyday and post what she just ate or how she brush her teeth. I guess she must be settling into her new job and apartment. Any new update she will surly share with us.

For now, lets share our research findings and ask her questions where necessary.

For me, FPT University gave me admission and I have 1 month to pay the tuition fee na the matter I dey try settle oh, lol. No money to pay but God no go shame us.

I have my uni statement of result available do you think it's advisable to go ahead with authenticating the university statement of result or must i use my certificate? The process getting that one is my school is long.

From what I reasearched it's better to go to Vietnam on tourist visa then search for teaching jobs than searching from Nigeria they are more willing to take applicants on ground, you can even apply to schools when you get there and change status to student permit if you get a school that admits you.
Pls share your brother here the name of the uni you and your brother applied too o abed

Hey guys, I met a Vietnamese girl online few months ago & now we are madly in Love with each other.
She works at a Bank there in the Capital City & She always call me on Video call & even when she's at work and most of her friends already know me.
Vietnamese girls love is so out of this world, My girl is so obsessed with me.
She cries on Video call that she can't wait for International flights to kick-off so we can finally meet
I am also madly in Love with her, and we're making plans already on how to meet.

So my question now is, Should I go & meet her in Vietnam or I should tell her to come over to Nigeria?
Her parents & my parents are already aware of our relationship.

I await your advice.

If she has the resources and she's willing to come, let her come first! From there, both of you can plan how you will be paying her a visit there or probably relocate!

Bro let me be real with you, if you have a good thing going on for you here in Nigeria then you can tell her to come over here but if you don't just jejeli pack your load and goan meet her, cos she might come here and be disappointed or your village people make her change her mind about you [Just saying a lot of things are in play and can go wrong]

And you said she works in a bank so I don't thing she can just make the decision of leaving her job then hop on a plane to Nigeria, don't lose this opportunity to japa unless I repeat you have something good going on for you here in Nigeria.

I mean it's not real. Online dating is rarely effective to find true love. In addition, there are cultural differences. Are u sure the two of you will really understand each other through online? So ive never supported online dating

btw, I also doubt your story. It is not real at all.
