Nigeria holds people back. That dunce village girl will most certainly thrive in the USA academically.

Informal nursing schools liter the USA and they churn out nursing assistants regularly. If a nurse gets into my ex company like that then in six months they’ll start paying for her schooling.

Don’t underestimate the opportunity that living in a sanish society provides.

Like I’ve said I’ve seen it first hand, personally.

This is terrible. Why not take a walk out of the marriage at some point?

My opinion:
Some of the men have a big fault in this. You should marry a woman who's dream is big and not one who never sees herself making it in life otherwise, once she makes it, she will likely misbehave.

Also, while developing the women, the men should develop themselves so that there is not too much disparity. Most importantly, the men should learn to start again at the worst.

For the women, we understand you are making the money in the cases presented however, when you know your husband is the highly traditional man, don't start misbehaving because you now have money. Money is important however, it is not the most important thing.

Lastly, the society should learn to condemn whoever is at fault even if it is our family member. That way, when we misbehave and we know we will hear the truth, we will be watchful.

The women will continue to get killed gruesomely if they don't change their evil ways. How can someone work hard , bring you all the way from Nigeria to the USA or UK with him, assists you in going to school and when you get a job, the next thing is to start treating him like trash and wanting a divorce so you could own everything he laboured to get for years. Most me especially Africans will hardly accept that bullsh.it. they'll rather kill the woman and get killed as well. No winner. If you leave them back in Naija while sending money to them, they will say you have abandoned them and married someone else. You struggle to bring them to join you, then they betray you. But if the nursing was giving the women so much money, why can't the men also go to nursing school so they can also make the plenty money .

I don’t know how they do it, but for every RN who is killed or divorced by her husband, there are hundreds, if not thousands more who proudly respect their husbands and submit to their husbands’ authority – yes, their husbands’ authority (NOT control and NOT abuse) even here in the US.

Does it matter? This is what I tell friends who stylishly convince their wives to go study nursing cos of whatever future gains. Allow her live her life and make her choices and that way, both parties are happy. You lure her into nursing, she makes the dough and you want to Lord over it, why?

I met a man in Columbus, OH who was advising against bringing one's wife abroad all because the wife no longer respects him. He sits at home claiming he is into auto exporting and barely sells four cars a year and yet, wants to Lord over the wife's earnings. That is highly unfair.

I know couples who make good cash and you don't see this frustrations. You know why, the husband is as hardworking as the wife as such, there is mutual respect.

The key remains that the man should work harder and not think he is going to reap ROI for sending his wife to study nursing. Our women should also know that money isn't the end of the world.
