The forwards alone can’t press. We can’t maintain a consistent press with a midfield of Pogba and Matic so we have to pick our poison.

For you to maintain a good press you need to shrink the field.
This means a high line for your defence (your CBs should be quick)
This then allows your CMs to push up as well and join forwards in the press.

This our current nonsensical system in which the forwards are pressing with Pogba and Matic drop off just makes it easier to get at our defence.
Sometimes it looks like our forwards wants to press but they drop off probably due to lack of supporting cast. Like you said we need everyone to contribute to the press. Watching our games, you just see too many holes opponents can pick from. I wonder how the coach is not seeing this

OGS is going no where for now. He's the one that gonna fix the Squad at large. We've got to live with it.

Trust OGS is smiling right now. You know why? Because he's gonna set-up the Team for Counter Attack.

Like some have opined, OGS should play 4 - 4 - 2 Formation (Diamond Midfleld Shape).

Backline should have AWB, Lindelöf, Maguire and Williams.

Midfield at the base should be McTom, left and right should be Fred and Pogba, while Bruno sit atop.

Upfront? Martial and Greenwood. In Goal?! DDG!
I'm almost certain he will go for his 3-5-2 formation

All I need is a Combo of Martial and Greenwood upfront, with Bruno behind them.

This exactly where fatigue shows itself.

Initially, the front five were pressing high up the pitch, assisted by the fullbacks (AWB & Shaw) with Matic just right at the base to win any second balls (obviously benefiting from the opponent panicking under pressure).

Gradually, as the games went on, one person (Pogba) began to fall back, clearly due to fatigue.. him falling back exposed Matic because that one has never been a fast player for as long as I’ve known him.

As a matter of fact, this team needs a solid bench. Fred & McTominay showed quality initially, but they have to maintain it when called upon to perform.. I dislike this idea of having to be a senior starter for a number of matches in order to actually show quality.

Other top teams have a really good bench that performs when called upon.. look at Loserpool, Man City.

I really hope that United gets Sancho & a Matic replacement in the transfer window... at least with Rashford, Fred, McTom & Matic (or his replacement) on the bench, there’ll be no fears when a substitution is being made.

Our fate is in the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
I don’t trust that team at all, I just hope they carry their good form into the Chelsea game.. with what Pulisic displayed yesterday, that game might be a high-scoring one.

Good thing Chelsea’s defence is weird, let Adama & Raúl capitalize on that.

Unfortunately that's the way Fred is. Maybe he can't handle the pressure or he knows he can never bench Pogba no matter his form. Probably both Tom and Fred need some games to get going

Please don't compare a team that has rested for seven days, This is the fourth game in 10 days, that is a very big difference.
This is one small fact people are forgetting. We have been playing every 3 days.

Chelshit have too. There's still much more energy in their display than us. We can't really put the blame on this because it's well known that our team or midfield do run out of gas after a couple of games. This has happened before. Last season we were on unbeaten run, displacing others along the way. Matic was all over the midfield dictating play. When he got tired, the team collapsed. In my opinion Matic has always been the better midfielder in our team. When in form or refreshed, nobody comes close. He gets tired, the team falls behind

If Pulisic started that game.... Nothing would have changed

He became gingered when he was about to come on against a Liverpool side that were just having fun

Even yesterday I saw more of Matic in the final third than Pogba. In fact Matic had the most touch. I thought Pogba was supposed to be the one up and down the pitch? Who's more tired? Pogba or Matic?

Which Chelsea? They had 4 days rest before the FA Cup game. We had 2.
We have played 4 games in they last 10 days. They have played 3.

Our matches were every 3 days while every one else we played that time had an extra day or two of rest than we did.

But i'm not even too concerned with the fixtures. Big teams will always have more games to play and a tighter schedule.
It's up to the said big teams to have deep squads and a manager who knows how to rotate them.

Our last two games is on Ole.

They really need to step up their game. UCL is not a kids playground, if this team plans to actually make any progress competing on all fronts next season, then they must step up.

See how Salah was missing chance upon chance yesterday, but his team still ended up scoring 5 goals.. imagine he was a Man United player..

We are doing more of the passing out from the back now. It has nothing to do with counter attacks.

I am talking about situations like goal kicks when the 2 teams are set. Instead of launching the ball into the opposition half from time to time De Gea and his defenders now insist on playing out from the back even when they are in obvious trouble.
if you expect de gea to launch the ball, who will win the headers and secondly I don't think united will win the second balls.

Did you see the way Pogba was walking on the pitch yesterday? He was literally dragging his legs.. only time he had bouts of energy was when in possession of the ball. That’s clear fatigue.
