Importing bitumen into Nigeria when we have it in commercial quantities. What is wrong with Nigeria? Shame to all Nigeria leaders, both past and especially present. And it will never be well with whoever did these to Nigeria 39 Likes |

This should have stop long ago... Nigeria was once the second largest producer of bitumen in the world, particularly in Ondo state (the productive record is still intact).. How we end up importing what we have enough to use and export is what amazes me. Really shocking, and unwise! We know some of our politicians who were sold for money made themselves as the conduits to the western criminals.. Glad we are making ammends in regards to job creation, I hope things goes well for the nation.. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Okay... Since all these years no sensible government think we shouldn't be importing bitumen with the large deposit. |

According to https://www.minesandsteel.gov.ng/portfolio/bitumen/#:~:text=The%20estimated%20probable%20reserves%20of,existing%20reserves%20of%20crude%20petroleum. The estimated probable reserves of bitumen in Ondo State (Southwest region of Nigeria) is 16 billion barrels, while that of tar sands and heavy oil is estimated at 42 billion barrels, almost as twice the amount of existing reserves of crude petroleum. Nigeria has the second largest deposit of bitumen in the world, spanning approximately 120km. The primary use (70%) of asphalt/bitumen is in road construction, where it is used as the glue or binder mixed with aggregate particles to create asphalt concrete. Naija which way..... Just the other day, they made move to stop importation of maize/corn.... 4 Likes 2 Shares |

sojayy: counter his claims don't bring tribalism here, he did not mention any tribe in his post. we have very bad, evil, wicked and greedy leaders, the wealth we have generated as a nation since 1960 is more than enough to make us greater than Dubai. we need to wake up as youths in this country instead of fighting over whose thief is better than the other. 9 Likes |
